How long does it take to fall in love?

How old are you? I do believe at a certain age you know when you've met a person that meets your expectations, but I wouldn't call it love.
  2. You're doing great! It just means that the swelling has gone down quickly and you're able to get liquids in. Once you move to food, you'll feel the restriction.
  3. It's funny how people keep calling me skinny. I guess when you're used to seeing me at 400+ pounds, 300 would look skinny, lol

You're feeling good and it's even better to have that cheering section on your side.

Keep a list of all the times people tell you how good you look, how much weight you have lost, how you are inspiring them etc. And when you get down or discouraged, it will be a great comfort to you. In the meantime, enjoy that success!!!

  4. I will probably get my arms done, but I kinda don't care about my tummy and chest. So far, they are not terrible and a good bra and spanx's can make them manageable. However, these arms must go!
  5. Sleeve has higher incidence of acid reflux. Things that have helped me is to not overeat ( lol, it happens), don't go to bed too soon after eating, and no carbs in my evening meal.

    Ketogenic diet

Having salmon tonight and total calories for the day is 869. I don't usually go over 900, but the steak was calling me, lol
  7. I live on the "pre op" diet, but mine was basically a low carb low fat diet.... I personally do not prefer the liquid diet to break a stall. I might drop carbs or eat some carbs to shake up my diet based on how long I've been stalling and the foods I've been eating, but overall, I just ride them out. My body has a pattern of stalling for 2-3 weeks and then the 4th week I'll lose 6-10 pounds, pretty much EVERY month.

    Ketogenic diet

Ok. My surgeon keeps trying to keep me at 600 calories but it's hard to do with keto. I'm losing plenty, I just wanted to know if anyone else was doing it.

    Ketogenic diet

Yeah, I've been doing it all along. It's the only way I know how to eat and feel satisfied. Here's today. Definitely over my calories. I was so hungry. ????

    Ketogenic diet

Thanks. I'm trying to find the right balance. Here's what I have currently, although I aim for about 800 calories.

I just saw "All of Me"

@@yerawizardamy I totally agree with you. I was 435 pounds and got sleeved because it was affecting my health. Even now, I just look forward to being like a size 16 or 18. I love being full figured, and my husband loves it too. It's a happy medium.

    How was goal weight determined?

My doctor uses a scale that identifies body fat, body water, lean muscle/bone density and determined that I could be healthy at 230. My fat free weight was 180, and based on that, I could weigh 230 and have a healthy amount of body fat.

I didn't care for it myself.

    Anesthesia...

Going in I was nervous and my mind was blank. All I remember thinking was how stark white the room was. Coming out... I remember shouting, "oh, the pain. It hurts!" Bwahahaha

My 600 Pound Life: 2016 Season

I think it depends on who's paying. My insurance will pay for skin removal, but only by my bariatric surgeon. If I want it done by a plastic surgeon, I'm on my own... On Skin Tight, I would like to think the show pays, and maybe she though Dr. Now would do a good job??? I don't know. As far are her shape afterward, I think she was a touch too thin and would benefit from some muscle mass. She was just very skinny. to me.
  20. Stall busted with a 5 pound loss!!! Every time I start complaining about the stall, the scale moves,. Maybe I'll complain more often, lol

I'm pretty jealous as well! Going on 9 days stalled or 1-2 pounds heavier. :P And here I was hoping I could skip the dreaded period stall this month since I'm going to San Diego next month... XD

    2. her1981

      her1981

I only lose significant weight the week before my period. I'll lose 1-2 the other weeks and then the week of my cycle, bam 5-8 lost. So as you can guess, my cycle is due in like a day or 2. Must be the hormones.

Almost a month stall finally broke. That darn love/hate relationship with the scale but then I remember I wouldn't dare even step on it a year ago!

As long as you do the work correctly, it'll all catch up when it's ready. Say "Pfft" to stalls.

  25. I'm definitely going to need an electric blanket. I'm so cold and it's only November!!!

It's amazing. I was always the big sweaty guy. Loved sweaters but couldn't wear them cause I was too hot. Now I'm all up on the eliptical in 2 long sleeve shirts barely sweating. I actually don't mind cause it's much easier to put more on.

Although im still hot flashing some, I notice I get cold easier than before WLS. What continues to be a HUGE help is wearing a warm fleece or quilted type vest, and wearing a loose cotton scarf around my neck, and a cute knitted beanie all the time. The vest keeps your core warm so the body heat can spread to your extremities. Since your neck and head are already warm ( scarf and beanie! ) , its hot flash time !!
