Plenty of mourning. I have discovered a love for Greek yogurt. Never really liked milk but haven't had any problems the few times I've had it. I can eat some breads but they aren't worth it most times. I eat burgers with only one piece of bread sometimes I can finish them others I can't. Once you get used to protein first it's not that difficult IMO. The liquid diet before and after surgery will get you over the hump. I thought I would never eat sushi again but it wasn't long after and I was eating it again albeit a much much smaller portion! It's a mental game when you start to see the weight loss you will not want those things as much. Stay away from sodas if you can. I have to fight that urge too much! Good luck and remember why you're doing it take your vitamins and work on eating to live not living to eat. So far the good outweighs the bad. Everyone here is a great resource. If you need any answers someone has them. It is different for everyone. It's been a year since my surgery. Sorry if I rambled

How is everyone? I'm down 120lbs since June. I seem to have leveled off now I need to start working out! I need motivation!

The only time I have dumping issues is eating too much too fast. That means not chewing properly and waiting too long between meals which makes me eat that way. I still enjoy a shake for at least one meal. I focus on Protein intake and everything else is secondary. The worst foods for me dumping wise tend to be lunch meats and/or wraps plus any doughy bread. I still can eat those things but in extremely small portions. Again if I take my time and eat small meals my day usually ends with little to no dumping. Of course it's different for everyone. Hope you find a good balance because dumping is not nice! Sleeved June 2015 down 115lbs

I had the sleeve in June. Over 100lbs down. Over eating is not a problem for me anymore and most high carb or dense breads don't sit well. Once you start to prioritize your food intake to protein first the sweet tooth will probably be kept at bay. I do still indulge occasionally but I don't find myself wanting them any more or less than before surgery. Now I do worry about sodas. I'm starting to enjoy them again but I don't plan on making them a part of my daily routine.

Merry Christmas sleevers! Hope you're staying strong this holiday season!

Not terrible but I did eat a lot. Also replaced protein with pie one day! Already back on track overeating just feels terrible so I do t do it. Also I'm enjoying the scale moving down so I stay on course more often than not. Hopefully I will do the same for Christmas!

I use the flavored creamers(large amounts) and don't add any sugar other than that. I don't like artificial sweeteners in anything.

Protein first has worked for me so far and I don't count calories just protein and carb grams. I try to only eat three meals a day and get my fluid. I do feel I am slowly starting to eat more so I don't snack. Stalls happen and vary in length. Keep being consistent and err on the side of less. Just my two cents. Down 105 since March

So I went to the Step 1 - The Free Seminar and...

Most people I care about are supportive. Haven't run across any that aren't but I will tell you, they won't be in my life after that. It's my life not theirs. That's my two cents. -
HW 365 CW 270 June 8th also.

It gets better everyday. In a few months you'll be feeling even better! Welcome to the tribe!

I had a sleeve done in June. Down 85# I'm 38 and I'm glad I did it. It's work but worth it! Good luck buddy

Well said I'm only two months out and I'm down 70lbs since my starting weight in Feb. all my blood pressure and blood sugar issues are gone already.
-
Congrats on your success. I'm down 77lbs total and 60+ of that since June. I feel great but I still don't push the eating. I eat two to three meals and snack several times. I love Greek yogurt and frozen cherries, sometimes with some honey. I still can eat other things but carbs are gross and take up too much space in my belly! Keep up the good fight everyone!

I'm scheduled for 1:15pm on Monday. A little nervous but ready to go. Anyone have a suggestion for a good protein shake/brand? I really have never liked any I have tried over the years. Also anyone else having one next week?

Had a check up today at seven almost eight weeks. I'm at 307 down from 365 in April. I feel fantastic and I'm actually out of clothes to wear! I eat three meals and two snacks depending how long my day is. I walk and have been doing farm work about to begin swimming and elliptical at the gym. I drink water constantly! Keep a cup with me full of ice and water. I'm glad I did this. Hope everyone is doing well too! Oh I'm down 8 pants sizes since surgery.

I was sleeved on June 8th I was 355 down to 319 today. The stalls are real but they allow your body to adjust to the rapid weight loss. Just keep going and follow, the plan.

It gets so much better, just remember why you did it and be strong. Some of those bad foods can be brought back but you probably won't enjoy them like you used to. Keep it small and keep moving and enjoy the weight loss. I'm a little over a month and I'm down 45LBS. It's going to get tougher to lose but I'm ready to keep on pushing! Stay strong and stay in contact with the people on this site. Everyone is awesome here!

Just checking in. Stalled out this week, but inches are still dropping. I feel like I'm 100% healed no restrictions except food of course. About to begin new workout plan to begin toning and hopefully tightening those loose areas. Keep up the good fight everyone!

When was your surgery? I am one week out. When were you able to start eating eggs?June 12 so I am 3.5 weeks out. I could have them after day 14.poached eggs are great. I was 14 days until eggs also.

Are you still losing weight? If so then you're doing fine. I can feel myself being able to eat more but I stick to three meals and try to get close on protein. Just follow your rules and keep it healthy! Glad you posted this.

I eat several poached eggs and other food proteins. I just supplement the shakes

I'm doing great as well. No issues and my strength is mostly returned. I found that if I just went out and did normal activities it would bring my energy back. I too am looking to get back in the gym but for now working and walking. Food is going great found several things I can enjoy. My go to protein shake is,the Atkins indulgence. Low carbs and 15g of protein.
