    How is you hunger level?

I am about 18 months out now and try to stick to three meals a day and two snacks. I don't have hunger but my body tells me when I need to eat. it's hard to explain as it's just a feeling that I get. Kate
  2. I agree with Judy, you need to see a therapist to work through your food issues before thinking about having more surgery. The surgery is just a tool.
  3. I was told 3-10 years and even then if i was prepped for the surgery and someone 'more deserving' came in, they would take my surgery place. I am in England and that was with the NHS. So I went private. Congratulations MelissaEC !!! You go girl

    Cottage cheese

Early on I used to eat it on it's own.... Now I eat it with carrots or celery. Always a good snack choice!!

I work part time now and get off at 2pm, but with young kids, there is no such thing as napping, shopping, and overall just enjoying yourself...cause they get out of school by the time I get home! LOL Enjoy your half days!!!

    Work

I think you are all amazing! I had 4 weeks off but near enough died at work when I went back (ok slight exaggeration but I'm sure you know what I mean). I was exhausted and was in bed at 6pm each night. I started feeling better after 6 weeks. Everyone is so different. Just take it as it comes and decided when you need to. Kate p.s: resting is good but get a lot of walking in between snoozing and best of luck !!

    Weight Loss questions

Hello Rohit... I have had problems with my weight for over 25 years, ever since I had thyroid issues. I would lose weight then put it back on... lose weight, put it back on, lose weight.... well you get the picture. I decided on the sleeve because I didn't, want the malabsorption issues you can have with the bypass. I am not saying that the bypass is better or worse, I am just saying for me the sleeve was the best option. My only regret is that I didn't have it done earlier. Read as much as you can online, research it until you know exactly what this entails as it's for life not just a quick fix. Best wishes with your decision 😊 Kate

    Best Nutritious Eating Plan

I am past goal so this might not be suitable for you right now however I tried a two week HFLC eating plan and my skin has gone from very dry and itchy to as smooth as a baby's bum (as the saying goes) I didn't lose any weight but I know people who have. It's not something I could do long term as it was far too 'rich' for me. Now I am back to clean eating 😊 i will be keeping an eye on this topic as it's always good to hear what has worked for others. Congratulations on the weight loss btw... amazing !! Kate

    100 Gone

Wow... congratulations. Keep up the good work !!!
  19. You should really contact your team about this and ask their advice. The reality is you can eat whatever you want to but do you really want to take the risk?
  20. Yep. Had to take it off or they wouldn't have done the surgery. I felt naked !!

    Head hunger

Might be an idea to keep a few snacks with you at all times so you aren't tempted to have poor food choices so early on. I have found recently, that a lot of general stores sell healthy high protein food. So considering this is England and we are 10 years behind the USA, you should be able to easily buy good healthy snacks. Also are you keeping up your fluids? If you have a good amount of water and you still feel hungry, then maybe you do need to eat. Just not chicken nuggets lol.
  22. I concede Blair, hence me saying that I worked really hard the first year learning about nutrition and tracking etc etc. Tracking is great for so many people and more power to those who do. I'm a little OCD about certain things and wanted to get to the point where I didn't have to track anymore as it could have become a very dark place for me but would certainly do it again for the short term if I felt I needed to. I tend to post about my experience and not tell people the right and wrong way to do things because who am I to say that. I am an expert in me though. So "written in stone comments" tend to get the hair on the back of my neck stand up. I have also just had all my dressings changed at hospital (plastics) and I'm having a pity party at the moment. God it hurts when they rip those suckers off your skin lol. Thanks for the compliments . I am back in work next week so will probably go back to lurking. Eleven weeks off has nearly driven me bonkers. Love the new profile pic btw !! Kate

    Omg so many pills

Has your NUT/Team suggested you take all that 3 days post op? My own opinion is that if you can get the multi vitamin down after a week then the other vitamin stuff can wait. Is the omeprazol taken sublingually? Mine was.. Also your thyroid meds can be taken sublingually (I take Erfa Thyroid) but even so they are tiny tablets to take. My calcium tablets were chewable too. Maybe a call to your GP to see what other options are open to you for a short time. Good luck and congrats on the surgery. Hope you have a speedy recovery!
