    I look old

I have found my skin very dry and have been slapping on the moisturiser, what feels like all day long. I have used coconut oil on my body for a long time and my skin has always been good but my skin on my body is very dry and itchy since surgery. I hope it gets easier as I'm not this high maintenance usually I am 54 and had Botox twice and wouldn't be adverse to having it again or to try fillers too.
  5. Best wishes for a quick and successful surgery and a speedy recovery. This is the start of your new life !!
  6. One pound away from being under 200 ~ It's ony a number but for me a massive goal!

I said the same when I hit 299. But I also say every pound counts. Being

10 or 1 IT ALL COUNTS! Don't stop

    Salmon

My team allow fish and chicken from the pureed stage and I felt ready to try some. As I said in the previous post, tuna has been fine and salmon I tried and decided not to eat it and will maybe try much later on. Some things work and some don't. It's a case of try and see, as long as its within the guideline of your team. I haven't been sick at all since surgery so I guess my VERY small food choices have been okay for me up to now. I think its important to use a bit of common sense too. You might really fancy it but if it doesn't always sit well with your sleeve it can go in the bin and go back to what does.

    Salmon

No but then I hardly ate much of it as I didn't feel that even with chewing it was pureed enough.

    Salmon

I had some and wouldn't again for a while as I felt it was difficult to puree. chicken and tuna have been good though. Make sure you REALLY puree it and chew, chew, chew. I can only manage about an ounce and stop when I am satisfied rather than full.
  10. @limichelle34 I can't sleep tonight for some reason but this made me laugh so much I have no chance of falling asleep now lol

    Need some brutal honesty

I have had botox a couple of times, once before my wedding and once before my honeymoon (10 months after the wedding). I haven't had it since but would be happy to do so if needed. You look lovely in both photos but it should be how you feel rather than what we think. I hope I look as good as you when I am at goal!!

    I think that's a brilliant idea !
  17. I went on Amazon today and ordered Viridian 100% Organic Liquid Iron - 200ml. Its a little expensive but I will only take the liquid until I can get tablets down after 3 months.

    Leaks

I had a little wobble too on day 3, sitting in my hospital room thinking what the hell, this is FOREVER. I had researched WLS for a long time, made my decision to have it in a logical informed manner but still had that wobble. I think along the way we all have them, something will happen and we won't have the wonderful feeling of ' Yayyyy I'm sleeved and wow I can now control my eating' and it will be a twitch or pain we will think is some sort of problem. Or someone will be talking abut a problem they have and we will worry it will happen to us. However that's the beauty of Bariatricpal, you can come here and discuss with people who understand, who can support you and who have a vast range of knowledge. Don't worry about what is happening to others, concentrate on you and your future. Congratulations on your surgery and best wishes for a speedy recovery! ~Gentle hugs~ Kate

I am so glad you are around and still focused on looking towards the future and being healthy. I can't read any bitterness in your post, just cold hard facts and that in itself is remarkable. You seem an amazing person, strong, factual and driven. Good Luck and please continue posting so we can follow your journey with you. ~ Gentle Hugs~ Kate
