I definitely had the moody and irritable stage! I think there are quite a few here who can relate to that too. Are you still taking your acid medication first thing in the morning, 30 minutes before you eat?

Congratulations to you both and speedy recovery from the surgery!

Nice to meet you ZoeJane ☺

I am 11 weeks out on Thursday and apart from the few 'head hunger' episodes I had early on, I have never felt hungry. I have to plan my work day out and keep an alarm on reminding me to eat or I would just carry on working and forget. Even seeing other people eating doesn't bother me. I know this will change in time but I am LOVING it right now

Congratulations on your surgery and best wishes for a speedy recovery -
The chewable ones are fine on an empty tummy but I think you're right. Better taken with food.

@@MIMISAN I am in England and generally, if you are private and paying yourself they like you to stay two nights. I could have stayed up to five but wanted to go home, plus I was doing well so there was no need for me to stay anyway.

Such a waste of money! It's odd how things change. I can't face eggs now yet the first few weeks I had them for Breakfast most mornings

@@jesstea2 It was about 4pm, I came back up about 7.30 and was walking up and down the corridor at 9pm. I stayed in bed and slept most of the first night, in between nurses checks.

How many if you lost weight during preop?
_Kate_ replied to baileyj908's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I did a 18 day (my choice, the 18 days, I was supposed to do 14) liver cleansing diet required by my surgery team. I can't remember how much I lost as I have never noted down how much I have lost and when. I have no idea what I lost the first week, first month, etc etc, I have just kept my eye on the total loss. I know my scales and the hospital scales gave a different weight loss so I just focus on what my scales at home say. -
Worried i gained weight
_Kate_ replied to annabreke84's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You may find that being busy and stressed that you have lost. Like the others say, get weighed and find out. Then be super strict for the next two days. If you have put on and you explain, I am sure they will be sympathetic. Just work harder for the next weigh in. Good Luck -
How do you keep your protein shakes cold while sipping on them ?
_Kate_ replied to Dub's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Not to be a downer or anything but just be aware that your taste may change after surgery and you might just want it room temperature rather than very cold. I know your surgery is soon Dub, so best of luck and speedy recovery!! -
For one night: Loose clothes to go home in. Something to read (such as magazines, which you can just pick up and put down in between walking, sipping, sleeping, walking sipping) Gas-x strips Soap, toothpaste and toothbrush. Nightwear/underwear I stayed 3 nights and 4 days and so in addition I took and found helpful: Kindle Face wipes Lip Balm Phone and charger Shampoo and body wash 3 x nightwear I spent most of the time in between the walking etc either in bed sleeping or watching tv/reading or being checked over by the health professionals, especially in the first day. My husband brought a pillow to put over my tummy so the seat belt didn't dig in for the drive home. Otherwise the hospital provided everything else I wanted. Best wishes for the surgery in November

I am 10 weeks out and have gone from 44DD to 38D. I bought one bra when I was down to a 40 not even thinking I would need to go down a bra size again so soon. I was lucky as the sales are on here and got a nice decent bra at 80% off.

@@marcy0912 How is your hubby feeling now?

I'm ten weeks out and used to be a tea drinker.. now I crave coffee so have had a couple of cups this week, when I have been out for dinner. I surpass my liquids every day so feel okay having a cup of coffee every now and again. As for it increasing hunger, I haven't had any at all other than head hunger and that seems to be at a minimum now. I really believe in following the plan of your team however it's realistic to understand all the facts and make an informed choice yourself, using a ton of common sense.
