Myself.. I no longer try to hide dressed in black. -
Great post and very interesting to read. Stick around please, we need more people like you!!

Drink as much as you can working up to min of 64 oz of fluids a day. Congrats on the surgery and speedy recovery !!

Once I am at goal I might try thin toast. I am sick of eggs without anything to crunch with them, maybe just at the weekends when I up my carbs anyway. I stay away from crackers as I could eat the whole packet whereas I was never overly fussed about bread.

Once again I am off shopping today and a couple of new bra's is top of the list. I was 44DD now in a 38D and I have a feeling from the fit of this bra now that I will be down to a 36C. I didn't think I would be but honestly, I am over the moon about it

It’s normal to be nervous before the surgery, I think we all go through the questioning in our heads. Is this right for me? Will it be painful? How am I going to cope with so little food in the first few months? And on and on. However we all get through it and I can honestly say that it’s been one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. Believe in yourself and your inner strength, you CAN do it. Congratulations

You should send her a picture of some pants that you just bought and say, "I bet you wish you could wear these". I think that would be pretty funny. LOVE this !!

I didn't go back to work until week 5 and it was far too soon for me. I wish I had had more time off. I was exhausted. I would get home from work, walk the dog and then crash out on the sofa for the evening. As for exercise, I joined a Gym at week 10 and I go three times a week, took it slow at first but I am okay now. Plus I am walking the dog for longer, up and down the English countryside. Best exercise ever. Congrats on the surgery!!

I have those days, Kate. Don't feel too bad. That is probably why I have been at a stall for some time.

Congratulations on the surgery and best wishes for a speedy recovery. I am 3 1/2 months out so not going through the same motions that you are right now I am down 80lbs and have 18 to go to goal. I have a feeling that will take a while to lose and I am okay with that!

I had cottage cheese (low fat), Greek yogurt (Total Farg which is high in protein), fish and chicken, thicker Soups pureed, as well as keeping to the full liquids for a while and introducing a new food slowly. I tended to stick to what worked for me, for a number of days. I chose high Protein foods and made sure they were pureed well. Did you get meal plans from your bariatric team? Edited to add eggs, eggs and more eggs.

I had the flu shot once and never EVER again. I was so ill with the flu, having never had more than a mild cold before. We get them free at work. No thanks lol

Each day will be better than the day before, hold on to that thought. You have gone through not only a huge physical event but a psychological one too. I researched this a lot before the surgery and REALLY wanted it and yet I had a wobble on day three, wondering what the hell I had done. It was only a fleeting though but still went through my head. Now nearly 4 months out I know it was the best thing I had ever done and wish I had done it years ago. You may go through a myriad of emotions over the next few weeks and months but its natural and most of us have gone through it. If you don't have anyone to chat to, come here and vent. We have all been there!! Congratulations!! Best wishes and hugs.
