  4. You need to speak to your team about this as they are the best people to ask. Perhaps your body isnt ready for pureed foods yet and they will be able to guide you on how to transition to foods. Its a bit of a shock isn't it, feeling that ristriction! However its really early days for you, your stomach is healing so dont overly worry. Keep up with the fluids and Protein drinks and give them a call. Oh and Congratulations

    Constipation

Are you drinking lots of water? Are you doing enough walking? I tried numerous stuff which didn't do a thing but then I tried Dulcolax and it really worked for me. Hope you feel better soon ! Kate
  6. A comfortable bed and good friends who would collect me in their car and take me out... even just for 30 minutes, then tuck me back into bed again.
  7. Keep focused on the prize and not the scale Congratulations on the surgery!

    Wrong decision?

For most of us every day is better than the day before. You have gone through, not only a huge physical change but also the huge mental aspect of 'all of this'. You CAN do this. Kate

    Pills

I waited for a couple of week, but as far as Vitamin tablets went, I stuck to chewables for 4 months as I had a bad reaction to the tablet ones. I was very sick after getting it stuck so wanted to err on the side of caution. It wasn't a hardship. Kate

    Progress!

Congratulations Amanda.. You're doing great Kate
  14. The body over compensated and produces a lot of saliva to see if it can push the food down the oesophagus. I have had this recently too, ate too fast and felt like c**p afterwards. It was a reminder to keep to the rules for life lol. Kate

I had them for after my surgery. Not sure they worked but they sure made my mouth felt fresh!! Congratulations on the surgery and speedy recovery
  16. I wear HRT Patches, had to stop using them 6 weeks before and 6 weeks after surgery. Then went straight back on them. My weight loss has been fine. I also came of BP tablets (High BP) so another bonus ... yayyyy Best of luck in the process! Kate
  17. And we thought the run up to Brexit was bad... In the name of solidarity though, I will be eating chicken or Fish on Tuesday, whilst sat in my USA onesie. Kate

    Sweaty mess

Are you sweating or do you have a raging temperature? If its 'just' sweating, keep yourself cool at night with a fan, keep the windows open, shower if you can and get plenty of fresh air. If you have a high temperature, call your team and ask their advice. Hope it eases for you soon and congrats on the surgery !! Kate Wait until you hit the OMG im freezing stage

@@tapgirl Congratulations on the upcoming surgery .. Not too long now! I think everyone has a little wobble before and just after the surgery. I was fine until day three, then had a meltdown, thinking what the hell had I done. I reserched it a lot too, just like you but nothing can really prepare you and I don't mean in a bad way, so don't worry. I hope the sugery goes well and your recovery is swift. 15 months on, I still say its the best thing I have done. I just wish I had done it sooner. Where are you having the surgery? *Hugs* for the next few days. Kate
  21. I went from UK 24 to UK 12 (USA 22 to USA 10). Im having skin surgery in January so may get in a ten (USA 8) then whohooooooo. Kate

    Salad

Initially (and this is my personal thought) salad isn't the best thing to eat early on only because your stomach is still recovering, will be tiny with the swelling and you need Protein before salad. I eat salad now after 15 months and really enjoy it but there are times that i can't eat much, maybe a couple of bites after I get the protein in, on the plate. Go by what your team says, as I am sure there will be lots of differing thoughts here Congratulations on the surgery
