Same for me really. Sometimes I feel a bit of a fake as things have gone so well. I had a problem for a few months this year but well over it now and heading the right way again.

    Undecided on what to do

Oh that lovely feeling when you sit in a plane and you clunk and click without an extender and then try to guess the inches overlap you have... I will never get over that !!

    Undecided on what to do

I could lose weight, then I would gain it back plus a little, then I would lose it again, gain it back again plus a little.. and on and on. It's good that you are considering all options avaliable, read the forums, research, research and then research some more and then make an informed choice. That doesnt make you a 'punk' it makes you sensibe. Best of luck with your decision making and remember, WLS is a tool, not an answer. Really glad to see you here

    Waves of emotions

I think most people have those high's and low's before surgery, it's natural and be prepared for it after surgery too. I dont think I had a low before the surgery however I did panic going into the pre-op room, only because I have dreadful veins and it takes an ages to get a canula in (they gave me gas before doing it as I told them that was the bit I was dreading). I dont regret it for a second and should have done it years ago! You will be fine. Come here and talk to others, vent, chat, support others and ask for support. You have this! You can do it !!!
  12. Try to stick to high Protein foods before mashed potatoes.. im not a nurse, bariatric Doctor or any kind of specialist, however I think there are many better options than potatoes this early in the process. You need fluids and protein, potatoes can wait, if you ever eat them at all. Hope the visit goes well and they can give you a more comprehensive list of what they feel is suitable. Kate
  13. Do you have recommended foods from your team at all?
  14. Just posted this in another thread: Try hot Water, cold water, water with ice, water with sugar free flavouring drops, caffine free tea and coffee, slurpies with sugar free flavouring drops, make your Protein drink (if powder) with 20 oz water, broth.. try lots of different way to get fluids in. You have to get the fluids in or you will end up dehydrated and you don't want that ! P.s leave the tea and coffee as a last resort and sip sip sip until you can't sip anymore Congratulations on the surgery !
  15. Whatever you mash, remember to chew, chew, chew. I was once told that digestion starts in the mouth
  16. oh, I never followed a breakfast, lunch and dinner thing. I just ate what I fancied when I fancied it. Hope you have some more suggestions.
  17. Soft cooked scrambled eggs, high Protein yogurt, chunkier home made chicken or vegitable Soups mushed up really well, protein puddings, Weetabix, porridge, Ready Brek with plenty of skimmed or semi-skimmed milk add Protein powder if you can, finely minced or pureed chicken or turkey in gravy, pureed fish in a thin sauce, light and smooth low-fat and low-sugar mousse made with milk - add protein powder if you can, very gently cooked and soft plain omelette, poached egg or a soft-boiled one, soft Beans, lentils and peas, pureed or mashed for a little texture, pureed avocado, small portions of home-cooked or ready-prepared and pureed main dishes like cottage pie, shepherd’s pie, fish pie, fish-in-sauce, mild chilli con carne. Congrats on the surgery! Did your team not give you foods to have in each stage?

    Nuts

I do love nuts as a snack but I have to be really careful or I would eat the lot ! I tend to buy the Tesco small pack nuts so I don't go overboard. I love the almonds. Kate
