    Unsupportive sister[emoji35]

She sounds a little insecure if she has to point that out, just smile and hold out for the prize. You seem to be doing amazing, if shes not happy for you achieving what you have then block her out and just focus on what you are doing. Her journey is hers and yours is yours and we all do it at different speeds with different results. Kate x
  7. Every day is better... when did I see a marked improvement.. That was 6 weeks in.

  9. I had a blowout before I started 18 days of the liver diet. It was okay but even then I just didn't see the point in it, still did it though. By blowout I meant i had a main meal out in a lovely posh restaurant AND a pudding lol. I needed to get my head sorted before surgery, I did and felt it really helped afterwards, sort of like half the battle being won. Have a treat but don't overdo it. Remember the sleeve is a tool, not an answer. Best Wishes Kate

    Intermittent Fasting

@@BBweightlossjourney I just follow a couple of very low carb days with 2 or 3 'healthy' carb days. I used to do it more so when I used to go to the gym and have higher carb days on the days I did workouts. My gym pass has expired and as I am having plastics in January I am not renewing it until I have recovered. There are many carb cycling protocols out there, but most suggest alternating between at least two of three types of days: High-carb daysThese days generally call for something around 2 to 2.5 grams of carbs per pound of body weight. They’re the highest in terms of caloric intake as well. Low-carb daysMost protocols peg your carb intake around 0.5 grams of carbs per pound of body weight on low-carb days, which can be a bit of a struggle if you’re also training on those days. Caloric intake is usually lower than high-carb days, too. No-carb daysThese days are, quite frankly, rather hellish. A true no-carb day calls for less than 30 grams of carbs for the entire day and a low caloric intake as well. {taken from https://www.muscleforlife.com/the-definitive-guide-to-carb-cycling/} It really works well for me, I am sure others would disagree with it. You need to figure out what works for you and your body. Thats all that matters !!

    Intermittent Fasting

Sounds good. I follow carb cycling which works really well for me, sounds a similar principle and allows me to feel as if I am not deprived. Kate

    Terrible Headaches

I'd grin and bear it and it should soon pass... Having coffee might get rid of the headache but you need to ask your surgeon if you have restrictions with coffee after surgery. Might be best to get the withdrawl headaches over and done with before surgery. Hope you feel better soon Kate

    Help!

I went private. With the NHS I needed to do a years supported diet, then I would have had to wait a minimum of 3 years, THEN might have to wait longer if someone 'more deserving' came along. I have Hashiomotoes Thyroiditis (for 25 years +) Very high blood pressure, depression and was pre-diabetic. Wish I had done it years ago! Kate.
