I over did it on veggies, so I had no room for sweets. Not that I did not want them but I was soo full, I just could not eat any. UGH! I though I would explode. If anyone likes veggies and is looking for a great dip, I have a wonderful recipe that will make you want to eat the veggies just remember to CHEW! CHEW! CHEW! :hungry: 1 Pt Miracle Whip (light or whatever you want) 1/4 cup of puree'd spinach 1/4 cup minched onion 1/4 cup parlsey juice of a lemon Salt & Pepper to taste Place Miracle Whip and Spinach in food processor until smooth, combine all other ingrediants in a bowl, mix in spinach mixture, mix thoroughly, place in fridge over night and then enjoy. The longer it sits the better it gets. Add more Miracle Whip for smoother consistancy.

Hi all! I was banded on 12/13/07, had some pain after surgery, but I am 8 days out and returned to work this week. Day one back at work and extreme nausea kicked in and pain.:cry Found out that my blood pressure was way down. I fixed that. Now I am hungry but when I try to eat even yogart I get pain at the topof my stomache kind of like real bad heartburn? :sick Any suggestions or comments???? Also I make a killer homemade chicken Soup, when I am sick, I usually take out or puree the chicken when I am sick, and add a few fine egg noodles. Would that be okay to eat right now. Are the noodles okay?? Also I see many of you pureeing meatloaf, my doctor told me to stay away from beef for 2 months. Apparently that is his standing order for all his new patients. Because I make a fabulous beef sandwich spead. like a ham salad, but put in the food processor. It's great on crakers. Please anyone with an answer for the heartburn pain (but lower right at the opening of the stomache) would be appreciated. Also any comments on diet would be appreciated.

Thanks guys, I called one of the nurses and it was reflux, to took some antacids and its fine now. Just a lot of gas. Thanks again. -
Hi all! My name is Ann I am 38 years old, I am married and have no children, not because of choice but becaseu I can't. I have been overweight for over 15 years. I looked into surgery several years ago, but LapBanding was not available then. So I waited. In the mean time I had a tummy tuck because I lost some weight and had a panni (saggy skin on my lower belly). That was in 2000, I weighed approximately 260Lbs then and lost 30 lbs after the tummy tuck. I gradually gained some of the weight back. My job has become very active and requires me to take a fitness test every year that I must pass in order to keep my job. With the extra weight it has become very difficult for me to do. Not to mention I hardly get off my butt to work out. ( i have little time.) But now I am working in the buildign where our gym is located and have a great boss who is really into fitness and allows me to workout on the job. So in April my step daughter had the LapBand and has done extremely well, and has adjusted very nicely to the new lifestyle. I did some research and here I am today 8 days Post-op (surgery 12/13/07). I am stil having some residual pain, but am hoping to cope nicely. My goal is to lose 50lbs first and anything after that is a bonus. I am not looking to be a super model, just to make my life easier and healthier and to keep myself employed. Pre-surgery I was 248lbs. a wek after surgery I am 233lbs. 15lbs down :whoo::whoo::whoo::whoo::whoo::whoo::whoo::whoo::whoo::whoo: I am too excited. Thanks for having this website it's phenominal.

Yep even with liquid, especially cold liquids.
I have been trying to let the liquids warm up a little. It helps but still hurts. -
What to expect after 2 Days Of Banding
Ann D replied to JDPurvis's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi. I just registered too. I had my surgery 12/13 (8 days out and 15lbs gone) I had pain up for about 5 days it was mainly gas, but I did have a lot of belly pain, especially when trying to sleep. I could not sleep on my right side for several days. Strange but they said the port side would be more sensative. Last night I had severe pain like heartburn, everytime I tried to drink anything colder then room temp. I fninally had to take the strong pain medicine I hadn't taken in days. It will get better. My daughter had this done in April and has had a few ups and downs but more ups then downs. She assured me that the pain will go away. Good luck!
