    Countdown to Onederland!

One pesky pound left. I had another fill on Wednesday I am at 6.2ccs. SO hopefully that will push me under the 200 mark. I'll be happy dancing anyday hopefully.
  2. OMG - I thought it was just me!

    ??Sports Bra??

I am in desperate need of a sports bra, a good one with great support. I am a 36F and have had great difficulty trying to find one that ftis and supports me, so I can run without knocking myself out, or looking like some b-rated movie, jogging scene.
  5. I still keep candy bars in my desk, just the 100 claorie ones, along with the beef jerky and peanuts.

    Slow Losers Unite!

Keep up the good work. Any movement/workout is better then nothing. Heck raising and chasing a child around is enough for me. I get pooped out chasing around my grandchildren and niece. The attention is nice isn't it. My husband is making comments again, and can't keep his hands off me. I LOVE IT! He is noticing and really liking what he sees. That is all worth the hassle, and discouragement I have faced. Keep up the good work and ejoy the fact that you can keep up with your toddler. I can keep up better now then 8 months ago.

    For those who have PCOS

H all, PCOSer here, my weight loss is slow too. I just read a few posts and can relate to all of them. I am stil on a very heavy dose of BCP one of the strongest they can give me. I think it is starting to cause problems for me. My periods used to be very light with the pills and my past (Heaviest) weight. Now that I've lost weight my period have become very heavy and long. They are regular because of the pill, but wow what a change in the duration and quantity. Two months ago I had a scare of not starting my period. I went and got a pregnancy test. Babies are not a good thing for me. I married a man with 5 kids, we now have 5 grandkids. I resolved myself to not having kids 20 years ago when I was first diagnosed w/PCOS. Then to get this scare. I know with losing weight it is possible to get pregnant , but that is not an option for me. I am on BCP, but I know it can still happen. I'm not about to give up the cause of pregnancy, I like that too much. To anyone discouraged, hang in there. There are some down times and things seem to move slower then others, but it will help and it can work. just give it a chance, and hey if you have lost any weight that is also a plus, it can't hurt. A huge moment in my life...The hair has lessened some since surgery, but I still started Laser Hair removal (LOVE IT!) I have not shaved since May. My DH touched me face for the first time this weekend, and I did not stop him. Wow I can't get over it. It is very emotional for me. We have been together for 17 years. And this was the first time I let him touch my face without pulling away. WOW! I am at a loss for words...

    Countdown to Onederland!

Congrats Steve!! Way to go! Hopefully several of us will be joining you very soon. 199 is my first goal I set for myself. If I can get there I have a treat lined up, boy I really can't wait. (I am treating myself to a luxury massage and one of our Day Spas here in St. Louis) So I have more anxiety about it. I really want that massage.

    Slow Losers Unite!

Janet, I too am just like you, I had surgery 12/13/07 and have only lost 46lbs. I lost 19lbs in one month but I was hardly eating anything and throwing up a lot that month, my band was too tight. I am doing better now but I can't get past these last 2 lbs to get me to onederland. It is frustrating, but like everyone keeps reminding me, it dod not come on over night. I DO NOT work out. Like I should be, I go to work come home and have dinner and go to bed. Working out is/was a bad thing for me. I was forced to work out 15 years ago and hated it. I have a great aversion to physical activity that is forced on me. I am in the mind set now that it is not forced on me, this is something I want, a healthier life style, and to be thin. That requires me to workout. If i can resolve myself to just get off my a*% and move, I think the weight will start melting off like BUTTER. So you are not alone, stick to what the doctor is telling you. They actually know what they are talking about. I am a hipocrit because I am not taking the same advise. I know it is true I just tend to ignore it and as long as I do I have to own up to the fact that this weight will not come off. The band is just one of many tools I have to lose weight.
  13. B'fast - v8 hot & spicy tomatoe juice snack - beef bites lunch - 1/2 ceasar salad snack - babybel light cheese dinner - beef hotdog
  14. I still can't get motivated to move. I try very hard but alwyas talk myself out of it. I did get in the pool yesterday and did some work. I really need to be walking or running, but just can't get into it. My main motivation is my job, I have a fitness test I have to take at the end of August, in order to keep my job. I really want to pass it. So that is motivating me to move more. HELP!!! What can I do to kick myself in the butt to get moving.

Coworker said weird thing to me... hmm??

littlefroggy, Ignore her. That is what I had to do with my sisters. Both were very negative. I had to have a psych eval before surgery, I'm not sure if you have to have one but ask the doc about it. My psychiatrist (SP?), warned me about these people, they will say anything to make you feel bad. My sister basically told me to work out and stop eating. The other told me she had better things to spend her money on. And both had horror stories of people they have heard about. Now since I started losing weight one has come around and actually called me when one of friends talked about it with her and she had her friend call me to get my story. The other is trying to lose weight the conventinal way, and has had little success. Again ignore her, and tell her its a private matter and would rather not discuss it with her. It's probably jealousy. She does not want to see you succeed.

    Torn again!

I agree with everyone above. It is YOUR decision, I know you don't want to hear that. My girlfriend had RnY and she had major complication. I was in line to have it too (that ws 7 years ago). After her complications I put it off and waited until last year in Dec of 07 I had the lap band. The mian reason I picked Lapband over RnY, is that it's reversible, and adjustable. If I get sick or have complications it can come out or unfilled until I am over that obstical. It was cheaper and there are less complications IMHO. I have only lost 46 lbs in 7 months but I like the slow loss, nobody knows I had the lapband, because it is coming off slowly, and healthy. I am not explaining my self to anyone, or having to lie. I just tell themI am cutting back; which I am. Good Luck in whatever you choose. Don't let anyone persuade you into something you are unsure of. Give it some thought, if you pray pray on it and keep us posted on what you choose, we will support you either way you go.

    Countdown to Onederland!

This is the exact message I was about to type, when I saw yours. I too am still 2 lbs away. It's within reach but I just can't seem to catch it.
  18. I would tell anyone eventhe non-bargin shoppers, to only shop when things are on sale. I worked in retail for about 3 years and the mark up in all stores was anywhere from 50-100%. In security we would cut the price in half and that is what the max cost was for the item for the store, it was usually much lowerthe half. So always look for 50% off or more before you shop if you are looking for a bargin.

    Pin up Shoto Shoot??

Oh I would recommend them to anyone. I am very pleased by the photos taken 15 years ago. their website is ::Apple Studio Photography St. Louis MO:: It gives a few samples of the photos they take. They are very tasteful but sexy. The price isn't too bad either for what you get. The pictures are beautiful. A friend of mine had some done too, and hers were gorgeous as well. I wish I had them on a disk so I could post it. I'll have to try and scan one and see if I can post it.

    Pin up Shoto Shoot??

Wow you look great. I had some done 15 years ago before I got too heavy and my DH Drooled over them and still does today. So when I reach my goal I want to do it again. We have a studio here is St. Louis that does photos only of women in pin upstyle fashion. Its a husband and wife team that help with clothing picks; hair and make-up. I had a ball doing it and can't wait to do it again. Again you look great and give big inspiration to others. I have to say I votedin your poll and said to wait until you hit your goal weight and have your TT. But you look fabulous and can only improve from here. How do you improve on Fabulous.
  21. Good thing I wear a uniform 90% of the time and my job pays for them, I have been through 2 sets now. I wait until I am swimming in them and then show up at our uniform place. That way there are no questions when I ask for smaller uniforms. As for regular cloths, Walmart is my best friend as is clearence sales at all the various stores and on-line stores. I'm only buying what I absolutely need, a pair of pants here and a shirt there. I am going on vacation to Cancun soon, I am going to have to break down and buy a few more things. I am going to send my big clothes to my sister. The ones I don't send to here will go to Places for People, a community resource for the mentally ill. They help find people with disabilities jobs and give them one new suit for their interview. I have a ton of suits that no longer fit.

    St. Louis People

Vanessa, Good luck with your surgery. Dr. Wagner did mine in December. I love it. I tried on a pair of size 10 shorts last night, and they zipped; I am so excited. I have not worn a 10 since I was 10. OMG. I started at a size 20. The pill crushing thing was a problem for me too. Mine was so gross I threw up. I tried many different things. Now I hate applesauce, but that seemed to help the most, that and yogart, to take my pills in. The only problem I have now is big capsules. The ones with the gel coating. I think the gel starts to melt and it gets stuck. Everything else goes down pretty good. Try one pill at a time, mixing them made it taste so bad. Again, Good luck and PM me or post a message here if you have any questions.

    Countdown to Onederland!

I was so close I could taste it, and then PMS kicked in and I gained 10lbs over night. I know its just Water weight but to get that close and then step on the scale and see that huge number re-appear. I about fell out. With the PMS I have been eating like a pig, anything and everything, of course samller portions but chocolate and ice cream have been my friends. :Banane30: Hopefully in a couple of days when this is over I can go back to normal. I go back to the doctor in 2 weeks for another fill, I might have to get one.
  24. I lost 20lbs in one month, is it bad? I don't know, I don't feel bad I'm not hungry, I don't get hunger headaches, or cravings anymore, I don't feel weak. My doctor did not seem to worried about it. I was very pleased. the frist couple of months was about 1-2 lbs a week. One month nothing. So I guess as long as you feel good it shouldn to matter.
