CONGRATS! i wore a gown the first day and then later that night when i woke up and started walking around i begged BEGGED for them to remove my catheter so they did and then i put on jammies, i slept better in my own clothes for some reason! -

$37,500 for sleeve!
jeanniereenie replied to KarenLoh's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
i am sorry you having issues with this, i was blessed with isurance that only required me to pay 3-4 thousand out of pocket and was able to actually payroll deduct it so it was easier, i did have to pay the surgeon an additional 1275 though out of pocket. i had to cancel mine before to just save money for those things! some clinics offer affordable programs to make payments while you are doing your preop weight loss....maybe call around? see if there is anyway to find a place that may help.... i wish you luck! -
June 8th sleeve...things no one told me
jeanniereenie replied to work2Bskinny's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
congrats! i had to only stay one night in the hospital, but my Dr told me to walk walk walk, even made me walk out lol and the gas pain was YES by far the worst , way worse than the surgery itself. the more i walked the more i felt so much better, just sitting up made me feel better...so walk and burp and even do a little toot toot....and go on home -
Today starts my preop diet..exactly 14 days before surgery
jeanniereenie replied to LadyinBlue's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
i agree with Jamie, mine was awful for me! i cried a lot, i literally cried over food and i had never done that before. just stay focused and remember why you are doing it. i am 3 weeks post and it has gotten a lot better! but the emotions during my preop were hard for me, just know you have a whole fan club behind you here! -

Idk if I want to have the surgery
jeanniereenie replied to Big Opie's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
i spoke to my surgeon once before the 6 month counseling/wl plan and didnt speak to him again until at the hospital the day of surgery! some surgeons let their PA's do all the work , i know mine did. as far as the reflux goes i had it really bad before and just now started to get it again 3 weeks post op, i think because im eating pureed foods now. i have to also take a pill everyday, that he prescribed but i was able to stop taking 3 others! to me it was a trade off i understand your anxiety i had it too, more than i can explain! if you want to, message me and we can chat and i can listen and try to ease your worries, i had times i just needed a good buddy to make me feel better. bottom like if you are having big questions, try to get them answered, if not deal with the issue at hand which seems to be anxiety....again, i have it and i know the feeling! its an uncontrollable fear for me. also with the records, get a copy of them yourself, and all your tests results, and take them with you if you change surgeons, they should be able to use them for continuation of care. -

I had it up to here with Premiere, as good as it is i needed a change! i found New whey liquid Protein 42 grams in one bottle and it doesnt taste very good but i can sip the 3.8 oz and be done with it, in half an hour i get over half of my required protein, i try to get the rest from food but sometimes have to do another oz or so of the evil liquid or i will freeze the premier into popscicles, my fave go to foods right now seem to be anything turkey! espeically the low fat meatballs, 3 meatballs feels like a feast right now! Morning start farms black bean burgers, i can make one last me 3 meals, low fat and great protein for my sweet tooth a mashed up banana or some mashed up rinsed peaches love the ideas! -
