I feel like my partner isn't even trying to eat better
jeanniereenie replied to Foxy_lady's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My husband eats what he wants. My coworkers eat what they want. I have never asked for approval for my food so it's NEVER my place to approve others. He is my husband, not my child. He has never tried to sabotage me but I still pick up his taco bell. Get over it. Pity parties everywhere on here lol Sent from my SM-G530T1 using the BariatricPal App -

So angry I need to relax.
jeanniereenie replied to RobertD16's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
my insurance didnt have a requirement but i did have to lose it per my surgeon because of my liver needing to shrink, and 20 lbs in 2 weeks on a liquid for someone who was eating so many calories a day (like myself) was easy, i lost 23 in 2.5 weeks. i would def voice your opinion to the surgeons office and whoever made the decision to change it. best of luck to you though! sending you positivity -

Newly sleeved and nearly single
jeanniereenie replied to SimplyMsE's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
@ i agree, being patient with others is something i have had to do, they dont always understand why i did this....but i dont always explain it either. i think its because even 65 lbs ago i was a happy and fairly active person....nothing has changed just my pants size..and my energy level lol -

i have gotten more grief and negativity from those closest to me, telling me i have changed and that i am not fun to hang with anymore...yea because im not focusing my life around food which i did...now i eat because i have to and sadly sometimes people are afraid of change in people..because then they see the flaws in themselves -
congrats welcome to our world of soups , protein and burping wait..maybe thats just my world...lol

Curse you, Diet Coke!
jeanniereenie replied to kmd0235's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
i can have caffeine and he discourages carbonation but knows in the world sometimes you have to make your own choice, and diet dr pepper is my kryptonite. i have had a few sips and i have to say it hurt so bad and i burped so much i dont want anymore....i also got them out of my life before surgery... now if he tried to take my coffee away....there might be trouble... -

if you have to show her and justify the change in your life for the better, she isnt the one for you! people will judge and have an opinion all the time.. i have a ton of support from my partner but we did have to have the discussion of it being about ME ..just about me and no one else. congrats on the changes and making a decision to change your life!! -

jeanniereenie replied to sleevedin2015's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
same thing happened to me, I started the day after surgery and it lasted over 2 weeks. my gyno and my surgical team told me it would happen and that the surgery sometimes "resets" your hormones I have had PCOS for years and this seems to have resolved it. but every period since my surgery has been lasting 7-10 days at least -

jeanniereenie replied to KF2007's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
yea i was the same way as well, i felt like i had been in a car accident by two weeks in, just generally sore and achy and had a pain in my side. My surgery team told me it was from maybe straining a muscle or from sleeping sitting up or on my side which i did often! i couldnt sleep in my bed until around week 3, i just couldnt get up..those muscles are weak for a while! fast healing to you! and congrats -

jeanniereenie replied to Nibbler's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
my husband takes it, so i dont weigh in...i do work at a hospital so finding a scale isnt a hard task..but i made a promise to my husband to only weigh once a week so i avoid them! it turns into a mind game after a while, im at week 14 and am losing slow...but im still losing and that makes me happy!
