  1. Best of luck to you. I really would like to know all about this. I’m considering the same thing. My vsg was done in 2015. I have since gained all my weight back. I’m currently on Ozempic. I’m taking it off slowly. But only 20 pounds lost so far. I inquired about the revision and am just nervous. Would love to hear all about it and what it intails as far as a hospital stay. Care afterwards and etc.

    Sleeve to DS

Hello everyone. I had the sleeve done august 17 2015. I lost 70 pounds in the first year. Little by little my weight started to come back. Now I’m the same weight I was before doing the surgery. Would this da revision be an option for me? I really would appreciate any advice you could give. I need to get healthy again.

    Starting over again

I am hoping someone would give me some info on it. I recently had an upper GI X-ray done. The dr is supposed to read it any day now. But I peaked at the X-ray while it was being taken and I can see that my stomach stretched. I have lost 9 pounds so far since September 23rd. I have been constantly staying active. I really would appreciate any feedback you can give me on the matter. I feel like a big disappointment lately. I feel it’s time to do ME. Now that the kids are grown and working.

    Starting over again

Good morning everyone. I had my sleeve done August 2015. I lost 67 pounds and slowly have regained all the weight back. I believe my stomach stretched. Is it possible to be resleeved all over again? Will my insurance cover it? I have New York Medicare and Medicaid.
  6. Yes. This is me exactly. I have to have my hormone levels tested. I am 48 years old. Going through periomenopause. I def have to look into this. I’m so very happy you brought this up. Thank you for sharing. Love the topic. I had surgery four years ago. And now I’m back to where I was before the surgery. I always kept my diet and exercise and make sure to eat my vitamins and get my protein and water in. I don’t know what else to do.

    Weight gain !

Hello everyone. I had my VSG surgery 8/17/15. My biggest weight was 227. Day of surgery I was 199. My one year surgery anniversary I was down to 153. I started stalling then. All of a sudden I started to gain the weight back. And now almost four years later, I weigh 213. I’m right back to where I was before surgery. I walk twice a day. Have a shake for breakfast and either a shake for lunch or chobani plain Greek yogurt. Dinner is a small meal. Just chicken with veggies or salad. Night time snack around 8 is a cup of popcorn. That’s all. I’m trying to get my water in. For some reason I cannot get the weight back down. I wish there was something else I can do. Is there such a thing as a second SLEEVE? I need all the advice I can get. Thank you so much for listening to my story. Please help. I’ve been to the nut and she tells me I’m doing everything right. I spoke to my surgeon and he says the same. I see him again in August and I really don’t know what else to do.
  8. Walk as much as possible. It will help with the nausea. I walked all around the hospital. Every twenty minutes. It makes you strong. Good luck to you.

    40 something sleevers?

Three years after the surgery I have put on the weight. But thank goodness I’m coming back down. It’s a real struggle.

    40 something sleevers?

Was sleeved at 45. I’ve put some of the weight on. But I have been taking it off. It’s a struggle. I can’t tell you how hard it is to lose the weight. If you are doing the surgery now. Watch your wright. Don’t let it get out of hand and exercise daily. I lost the interest in exercising daily and did it once or twice a week. So I gained weight. Now I exercise daily every morning and watch what I eat. No carbs. Get my water and protein in daily. Good luck everyone.
  12. I really must say. You look amazing and very happy. Never stop smiling. You lost the weight quickly probably because your breast feeding. I had the surgery two years ago. I was down to 155 after the first year from 227. Now I’m 193. I have been skipping on the daily exercising daily. Only exercise now three days a week. But I have to get back into it. I want to lose the weight back. I too was snacking on cookies from time to time. I have stopped all that now and I’m on a pure protein fix now. Every time I snack it’s on protein. I know I can do this. And now I definitely want to. Thank you for the encouragement. Seeing you and everything you have accomplished makes me want to get back into it. You really look amazing and have a beautiful baby to show for it. Congratulations.
  13. This is a great forum. I really am getting some good advice here. Just want to say thank you. I probably do not get enough protein in my diet and have been looking to increase it. Thanks again for all the great pointers.
  14. I told my family. Most of my family is overweight and has diabetes. I told them to tell them they have a choice to make their lives healthier. They all told me how much better and healthier I look. They really don't want to make the change and give up their love for food and alcohol. That is their choice. I have done this for me. I want to live a healthier lifestyle to me a role model for my two children. My daughter is 26 and my son is 20. They are so very proud of me. I guess it depends. I have always had a huge family and we have always gotten along well and loved each other. I thank god for my moms support as well. I just wish my dad would get the surgery. But he won't make the lifestyle change. I am so glad I have made that change.
  15. Are you exercising? I exercise daily. Usually 2.5 miles in the morning and 2.5 miles in the afternoon. A brisk walk both times. And try to get your water in. That's very important.

    The big day

Good luck on your big day. Don't be nervous. You have worked so hard and come so far to get to this day. Just know that tomorrow will be a better day. Try to walk a lot after the surgery. It helped me with the nausea. God will look out for you. I hope you come back and let us know how your doing. Best of luck!

    Back to Shakes?

No. It's the same as when you had your surgery and started the diet.
  18. kozyjozie

    Back to Shakes?

I will be honest. It is hard. Every time I open the fridge I jump on the treadmill. Try to keep busy with cleaning or something
  19. kozyjozie

    Back to Shakes?

Yes. It will get you back on track
  20. kozyjozie

    Back to Shakes?

Yes. Just for the two weeks. My nutritionist doesn't like the idea but I listen to my surgeon. I sacrifice for the two weeks.

    Back to Shakes?

Hi. I do three shakes a day. This replaces my meals. I do that for two weeks. Then go to purée stage and regular food afterwards. It's the "post-op diet". Do you have the pamphlet from when you did the surgery? My surgeon told me this will shrink my stomach again and start anew. I have lost 7 pounds somince august 25. I also make sure to get my water in and I use the eas carb control shakes. 100 calories each. 0g sugar. 17g of protein. I get them in the case load at sams club. I've also seen them in Walmart and shoprite. Hope this helps.
  22. Just a heads up. My surgeon says anything with caffeine make you put on weight
  23. kozyjozie

    Back to Shakes?

My surgeon told me this was fine. When your at a stall or gaining instead of losing weight then you do the three shakes a day for two weeks, puréed foods afterwards then regular food. Same diet as post op. Hope this helps. It helps me get back on track every time
