  1. Maybe you should look around at who you would like to date. Are you drawn to overweight men? Can you honestly say that you wouldn't be more attracted to the same man if he was in better shape. I don't think it's shallow. But then I have a lot of friends that think I should not let my weight affect me as much as it does concerning jobs and men. Good luck with surgery. I am so glad I had mine done, May 20, 2015.

  2. Yes, teens of the 60s resonates with me. I graduated from HS in 1969 so I truly am a child of the 60s. Nice to meet other 60s. Here are my details:

    sleeved on dec 1, 2014

    sw 236

cw190...today was the first time I saw this 190.

I have been on a plateau with no movement on the scale for 2 months. it is discouraging but other things have changed. Dress size 18 to 14

Yesterday I finally bought new bras..I was 44D. Yesterday 38 C. Yes that is progress.

Still fighting daily exercise as a habit.

Oh so encouraging that I could be where you are in a few months. I started at 237, am looking forward to those new bra sizes. Down 20 pounds and already getting positive comments. Still having trouble with Water and being nauseous.

  3. I felt like crap the first 3 days in the hospital! You WILL feel better, trust us.

I was laying there thinking "what did I do to myself??" but you will feel better soon, very soon!

Exactly how I felt slimjill, but with a few cuss words added. Get some flavored water but be sure it's not carbonated. I have been buying Nestle Pure Life at Ralphs for Buy one get two free.

  4. I see that has magnesium in it. Somewhere I read yesterday that mag was good for muscle aches. I have had horrible aches since surgery when I wake up in morning. I went and checked my Calcium I have taken for years and it was mainly magnesium in it. Started taking it and (hopefully it's not my imagination) I felt 10 times better this morning. Took double the amount yesterday. I called nurse yesterday to see if I could take the pills now since I'm 8 weeks out and she said yes.

  5. I understand completely. I lived in a house on a busy street in not that safe of a neighborhood and could not make myself walk. And did not like getting in my car and driving somewhere to walk. Just thought I hated walking.

A year ago moved to a safe senior mobile home park. Still didn't walk. After surgery I started walking just one block. Then two blocks. I am now up to 3 blocks which isn't much but a hell of lot better than none. And I love it!! Meeting new people all the time as I walk. Sometimes I am sitting here around 7 before it gets dark and remember I haven't walked and just go do it without dreading it.

So I think it is making convenient whatever exercise you do. Not something that takes more effort mentally or physically to begin than the actual exercise. Hope this wasn't too confusing.

  6. @Pamzie I have lost 24 pounds since surgery on May 20th and think that's good. 42 is a lot. I went for 2nd check up yesterday and Nut said I'm doing fine and doctor wants me to add a snack, so go figure.

Has anyone been reading the topic "Fat related routines you won't miss" on here. It is hysterical.
