The struggle is real cutting carbohydrates from my diet!
padremama replied to Nikkip35's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The only times I have really screwed up was eating carbs at a party. Bread and some dip. I can just not let myself eat carbs like pasta or bread. Protein and vegies and fruit. It gets easier. -
congratulations! Go change your stats! I hit it 4 days ago and then gained 1 1/2 pounds back. But now under again.
-
Congratulations! And I agree it's the best thing I have ever done too.

Vitamins making me nauseated
padremama replied to VanessaVSGforme's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was taking a liquid Vitamin from GNC and no matter what I tried it made me nauseated. Gal kept telling me smoothies. But I could still taste the vitamin and get sick. One day I tried putting them in blender with a premier strawberry shake. It really worked. Hope you find something that works. And maybe it had something to do with it being a few weeks after surgery that I could finally take the Vitamins. -
OMG! Help me understand, am I sabotaging myself?
padremama replied to liannatx's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I also for the first time looked at myself negatively. My stomach looked no different from 36 pounds ago, my legs look no different. I know this is not true, but I let myself fall into that trap. This reminds me of when I lost my husband and went through the text book stages of grief. Was amazed that no matter what your mind tells you, you still go through them. And same with on here. Almost at the same time of any one sleeved in May, stalls happen. Or some other event that most of us experience happens. That is why I check on here daily and rely on the knowledge of those that have come before us. -

I was .6 away from onederland and did somewhat of the same thing. 4 days later I am 1.6 away. Had a hot dog, piece of cheesecake, etc. -
Gabbisha, I was told it flushes the food out of your stomach. Therefore you eat more. I know when I have gone out to eat and sit for a long time and have some liquid, I eat much more than I normally could. And please don't let people that obviously don't know get to you.

I would just like to see mperez1982 answer the original question. If it is so obvious.

I think the secrets in the water. I was stalling big time again and I drank a lot more water 2 days ago and just felt like I was going to lose. Was a pound lighter the next day. And all of a sudden I want more water.

I almost cancelled surgery because of not being able to take Aleve. And I have hurt since until 2 weeks ago when someone suggested Arnica to me. It is working for me and hope it does for others. I do the 30C pellets.

Did I drink too much of my protein shake at one sitting
padremama replied to Newlife1220's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I just looked up what causes a leak and it's what the surgeon does, not you. Said the only things that you can do is not follow the doctor's instructions on smoking and taking advil, motrin the first 6 weeks. Google it so you are not worrying so much about it. I had a really easy time and never felt nauseated just that overfull feeling. Hopefully you will too. -
Did I drink too much of my protein shake at one sitting
padremama replied to Newlife1220's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You are fine. You will get used to when you are full. Even at 3 months sometimes a half of premier Protein drink is enough. -
Is there any savings on food after surgery ?
padremama replied to shaqkhi's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I spend a lot less. I buy so little at a time. Will ask the butcher for 1 italian sausage or 2 ounces of Chorizo. Most of my money goes for greek yogurt and Protein shakes. The premium shakes being on sale at costco this month helped. -

Pills with food? HOW?
padremama replied to nomorechubbybutt63's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I just do it. Just a little bit of water -
I upped my calories to 1000 and started losing again.

I was advised to take Arnica or Tumeric since I can no longer take advil or aleve. I bought the pill form and it seems to really be helping. Arnica also comes in salve form. Just wondering if anyone else has used these.

That's more that I got from my Nut.

You are at the same place I was at 2 months. It's 3 months now and 32 lbs lost. I just don't get discouraged. All of a sudden one day it all comes together. You are just about to that point. I was you! Now I am feeling great, don't feel so hungry all the time. I was okay'd for coffee at 4 weeks. Just don't drink it as one of your liquids for the day. Keep drinking water. Also I just drink one cup a day. I don't know about core power. I drink at least one premier shake a day and get the rest from food.
