Approved! only took 3 days
lsmith715 replied to SAD HATTER's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
3 days. That's great!!! I have UHC So I'm glad to see it wasn't such a long wait. -
I've read that after surgery you can't take Aleeve any longer. Is it true you can only take Tylenol? That normally doesn't help me.

I'm 3 months preop. For the past week I've been dying for cake. I don't know how much longer I can fight this craving. HELP!

I survived last night but am still thinking about it. Hopefully it passes soon. I am proud I was able to get past it without giving in for once. Thanks for the support!

What did you wear at the hospital?
lsmith715 posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm curious what everyone wore after surgery at the hospital? You know, for the walks before you were discharged. I would like to wear something normal other than a hospital gown. I'm not sure what would be better knit pants and shirt or something like a long pajama type dress thing? Suggestions...... -

I'm being told I'll only be in the hospital overnight. I want to be comfortable but I want to be practical. -

My answer to this is endless....... less pain, not be worried what seating will be like every place I go, be able to rid in any car in any seat with a seatbelt, go on rides in an amusement park, not to be stared at like im a freak or monster by kids in public places, ride in an airplane, enjoy my picture taken, cross my legs, wear a dress, go for a jog, play on the floor with my niece, actually get the jobs I deserve and not be overlooked because they assume Im lazy, use the stairs instead of elevators everywhere, buy clothes in stores and not online, wear shoes other than sneakers, wear bracelets, actually fit in something that says "one size fits all", use the regular blood pressure cuff, wear an ankle bracelet, have an umbrealla actually keep my ass dry in the rain, fitting in an innertube center at the waterparks, go through the drive-thru alone for my family and have them not assume its all for me, wear tank tops so I can get rid of this farmers tan, get a massage and not worry if they have portable tables that will hold me,.......................... my list could go on and on and on. -
UMMM Is it weird that Im now sitting here feeling for my collarbone? LOL. Never even thought about that until I read this.
