Hi just wanted to let you know you WILL most likely be able to eat nuggets. U eat McDonalds nuggets all the time. Eating SLOW is the key. I have been throwing up alot cause i feel so sick after eating like 2 bites of food and thats cause i eat to fast and i dont chew enough and those 2 things will make it sooo much easier if u get them down. :smile2:

Hey guys... im not sure if i know many of you but i was on here a couple months ago... through my surgery and stuff. I moved to NYC. So im not in Springfield anymore. Alot of life changes which i find happens when you better yourself... I left my fiance of 6 yrs and have a new boyfriend im living with in NY. He is amazing and honestly.. I never knew I could be loved the way he loves me. It's amazing!!! Anyways for those of you i don't know... Hi im Holly. I had the surgery on May 9th, 2008. The BEST decision I could have made. It has only been 6 months and I have lost 90 pounds! And i DONT work out! Its been awesome. I have a lot more to loose but im on my way and it is comin off FAST... YAY!! :smile2:

Hi Everyone! I know its been a REALLY long time since I have posted on here. I am doing great. I am not eating very healthy... still eating pizza and sweets (sometimes) but I have lost 52 pounds since my surgery on May 9th, 2008. Getting the Lap Band was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I have REALLY had to learn to eat slow and take small bites. There have been quite a few times I have thrown up and got the thick Fluid in my mouth (im sure some of you know what I mean) its gross and I hate it. So I have had to learn my lesson (a couple times). I am going to start lifting weights cause I have some skin under my arms that totally grosses me out but I am loosing and feeling great and happy! I had my second fill at the beginning of August and will have another one in a month or so. Take care everyone and stay strong! If your out there reading this and thinking of having the Lap Band done, there is not anything I would recommend more. It has changed my life allready and I know theres more to come! Just wanted to drop a quick note. I had my surgery on May 9th, and have lost 32 pounds so far!!! I am SOOOOO excited. Getting the Lap Band was the best decision I have ever made. Hope you all have a great weekend! ~Holly~

Does anyone ever just feel sick to their stomache constantly? I do feel restriction now... I just didn't the day of the first fill. Today is the thrid day and I do feel restriction, although my stomache is growling all the time and I feel nausceas all the time. Like I'm hungry but eating doesn't make me feel good.... I'm confused. I don't think that the band is to full ... I just don't know. ~Holly~:redface:

I had my first fill on the 19th (yesterday). It was weird. Although I don't really feel any additional restriction yet. I feel the same as before I had the fill....? Anyways I might have to have a couple more until I REALLY start feeling the restriction good. Later! ~Holly~

Hi everyone. I just wanted to post on here... its been a little while. I have lost a total of 25 pounds since my surgery (5-9-08). My first fill is June 19th, 2008. I am kindof nervouse and excited at the same time. Anyways need to get some vitamins... Hope your all doing well! See yah! ~Holly~

As some of you may have remembered, I was Banded May 9th. My surgery was the first one at 7:30 in the morning. I left the hospital at 10:30 am. It was a breeze. Today is my first day back to work. I am really wanting a new job... something I can be outside more. or something... If anyone knows of anything please let me know. Send me a private message on here letting me know! Thanks everyone! I have allready lost 20 pounds!!! :confused_smile:

Hi! My name is Holly. I live in Missouri. I am 27 yrs old, no kids, a dog. I am having my surgery this Friday!!!! (May 9th) I am excited. I had some questions for you. I don't have a chance to talk to alot of younger people going through this so I wanted to ask you a couple questions if thats ok. First of all.... You look amazing!!!!! WOW! I guess I am having some anxiety about not losing weight after the surgery. I HATE excercising and I'm sure eventually I will have more energy to work out.... but did you work out alot to loose the weight you have lost????? Do u still eat semi normal but just smaller amounts or do you only eat super healthy now? Sorry for asking all these questions... you just look amazing and look inspiring! Thanks

I have cheated a couple times.... Last night I had a couple hot wings and some pizza. I have still lost 10 pounds so far. I am not going to let myself cheat starting today. My surgery is Friday so that gives me 4 days before surgery of all liquid. I hope I haven't messed anything up by cheating a little here and there a couple days..... :thumbup:

I am on my second day of the liquid diet. Yesterday I cheated and ate a protein bar during lunch and then when I got home from work at 9pm I couldn't stand it so I ate a bowl of soup. Today I am trying to stay with the all liquids thing but I am struggling bad. I AM SOOOOOO HUNGRY. :frown: My stomache keeps keeps growling and it aches. I just want to eat! I don't even care how healthy the food is I want to eat something. A piece of lettuce would be nice even! I don't know if i can make it through this all liquids part. I feel a little discouraged about it. ...

Hey Jessie... and everyone. I went to the healthy supermarket place and bought a BIG tub of the chocolate drink. It has lots of protein in it. One scoop has 22 grams of protein in it. It's awesome. Sometimes it's hard to get down but I just started my ALLL liquid diet today and it is tough. I ended up eating a protein bar in the middle of the day cause i couldn't take it anymore. I went to my pre admission and they told me i would be having the surgery in the Surgery Center and would not be staying overnight. The only reason they would do that is if you had any complications. I am excited!!!! I think right now I am more excited just to have some time off of work!! Hehe :party: I need a break. I am only going to take 7 or 8 days off. Anyways it's comin up!!! YAY!

Cool! My surgery date is May 9th. I started my liquid diet on April 25th. I have lost 9 pounds already! The liquid diet is tough but it does seem to get a little easier.... The second week is what is going to suck BAD! All liquid will be hard!!

Well Today is my second day on the liqiud diet. I have been using the whey Protein mix from Healthy Weight Supermarket, for Breakfast and dinner. For lunch I have been having salads. Subway has AMAZING :grouphug: salads and I REALLY hate salads so they must be good. I feel better allready. I have more energy and im alot more positive. I am soooooooo excited about having the surgery. I can't believe its on May 9th. It is very soon. I know I shouldn't be weighing myself everyday but I got on the scale this morning and I have lost 3 pounds in 1 day. Thats crazy... but awesome!!!! My start weight was at 356. I am now at 353. I have alot to loose but I am going to do it and it is going to change my life!! I am so excited. Everyone starting the process ... hang in there and fight for it. It is sooooooo worth it. I also got my insurance to approve 90% of my surgery! This is life changing and emotional. I feel really lucky to be where I am right now in life! Love and Peace to you all :biggrin2:

I am having my surgery on May 9th and was wondering how much you have lost and if it was semi easy??? I HATE working out and I know eventually I will have the desire to be more active but it will take a while im sure. Do you think I will still loose if I don't work out?

Just a quick quick quick note cause im at work... I am having my surgery on May 9th!!! YAY! I started my liquid diet today! It was a little tough but I know I can get through this with no problems. Mazzie... I see what your saying. I got a little curious about it because i have met so many people getting divorces after the band. I wanted to know what the deal was... I understand what you saying. Thats too bad that he doesn't care. I'm glad your doing ok. I am so excited about getting the surgery. IT IS SOON!! Hey... I am having my last appointment on the 22nd. I am excited!! Mazzie... sorry to hear about the divorce. I have heard people talk alot about the band changing their relationships.... Do you hear about it alot from people that have lost alot of weight?? I was kindof nervous about that cause I don't want to have problems with me fiance just because I loose weight. I know a couple people that got divorces after loosing weight with the band. Just thought I'd ask. Have a good weekend !! ~Holly~

hey!! Things are good. My b-day was this last saturday the 29th of march and i have an amazing night with a bunch of friends at Lindbergs on commercial! It was the best b-day ive ever had. Anyways just waiting it out right now. My appointment with dr. edwards is April 22nd and then we schedule the surgery. I am excited. VERY READY!!! I have been trying to be patient but I am getting antsy now. Anyways my dad is doing okay. He has come out of sedation and is talking and hasn't really walked around much yet but he is just tired of being in bed. It's been like 3 weeks now in ICU. He is ready to get out of there. i FINALLY got the okay from St. Johns and UHC. I will only have to pay $1,100 out of pocket!!! My final appointment before surgery is April 22nd.... and then we schedule the surgery! I am kindof bummed that the soonest they could get me in to see Dr. Edwards was April 22nd but oh well. Everything else worked out well. Insurance is paying! Yeaaah! laterzzzz ~Holly~ :thumbup:
