Sounds normal to me, Dee. Pretty typical for any bandster to be tighter in the morning. I guess being out so many months, I have just acepted this tightening as part of my normal life. I have always been a breakfast eater and believe that breakfast revs up the metabolism each day. Just eat what you can. I have never had protein drinks but oatmeal and protein bars work well for me in the morning.

Ok..the rest of the fudge. Peppermint...make the basic recipe (sw. con. milk/butter) omit the vanilla and add 3 cups of white chocolate and 4 drops of peppermint flavoring. Stir till well blended. Pour 1/2 in a sprayed 8x8 pan. Top with Andes peppermint crunch baking chips. Carefully spoon the rest of the mixture over the chips and spread evenly. There are other peppermint chips out there that are red/green/white that are shaped like choc chips. These work also. Mint Fudge...Use basic recipe and omit vanilla again. Add 4 drops of mint extract and 3 cups milk choc chips. Stir well. Pour 1/2 in 8x8 sprayed pan. Sprinkle with a bag of Nestles drak chocolate and mint chips. As above, carefully spoon rest of fudge over chips and spread. Cool in frig and cut.

Oh Laura....I know things are really difficult for you right now. It's all so hard to accept and wrap your mind around what is going on with your dad. I am sure leaving him was tough but being at home gives your family a little break at this time. Been thinking of you. You have done to maintain the weight you are at through all this turmoil. Pat yourself on the back for that. You photos look so good. You look as if you have lost inches even though your scale has not gone down. Great...you should really get some medical advice on what you should be doing to get your potasium. Too much or too little are dangerous. Maybe Phyll has some advice on that. I would surely ask your doc what your numbers are and go with his advice on what to do. Janet...b/4 you buy stuff to make fudge, give a little time to post the other couple of variations and you can make them all at one time. I just don't have time in the next hour or two as I am still babysitting the corn dryers.
