Great...the dates are Feb 11-14...3 nights. Excited that you are looking at the possibility of joining us! Sounds like the job situations might just turn out to be a win/win for you. Change is good. Getting up at 4am to go out and work is bad. Hope you slip into that new job and love it. Any other questions regarding FL?

THESE ARE NOT "YOUR MOTHER'S JEANS"! Me and my jeans will go to my appt and then head to the mass clinic to get an H1N1 shot. It just became available in our area and the only way to get it is to stand in line. Just hope for not too long. Fun afternoon, huh?

Warm front here....supposed to get over 20 degrees today. Woohoo!!! Quite windy so thinking that it will still feel warm. Have my lined wool sweater on with wool turtleneck....maybe it will do the job of keeping me warm. Paired the sweater with my consignment shop jeans. They were brand new Silver jeans. Found them a few weeks ago. Can try on and try on jeans in a dept store sometimes to try and find the right fit. Walked into that consignment shop and there were two pair just waiting for me to pluck them off the rack at $12/each. I love a good deal and even better, they are a perfect fit and makes me look like I really do have a rear end. Something to be said about a good fit. Actually, today is a "feelin' sexy" day for me. Linda...good advice on the journaling of food. It does make such a difference. The thing that got me to the obese stage was "tasting" and not realizing what I was putting in my mouth. I did not eat huge meals. I just didn't pay much attention to what I was doing. Just journaling on a daily basis totally changed my way of thinking. You were talking about skinny arms, legs and face. That will all even out over the next few months. I remember having the stomach a couple months b/4 goal and thinking that I would never lose it...was pretty sure of it. I said it was the "marshmallow on a toothpick" look. It did melt away though and I am better protioned. And, even more so today cuz I'm in my "feelin' sexy" jeans! I also like what you said about eating over the holidays and fighting with just those few pounds you gained. You stated that you will not be so willing to succomb to the temptations in the future. How true. It's like we have these mini "Ah-ha" moments throughout our LB trip. So frustrating that steel cut oats are so difficult for some of you to find. They really are such a good, healthy food to consume on a daily basis. I find that Walmart is so fickle in what they stock. I make a monthly trip (65-70 miles) with my list in hopes of getting what I want or need. There's always things that I got the month b/4 that they either don't have or have replaced with a different brand. I looked for the oats on Saturday when I was in the store and not a one on the shelves. Month b/4 I could have chosen between three brands. When I cannot find what I want, I just go onto Amazon.com (I have free shipping) and order what I need and get 2 day shipping. LauraK...My glasses and book are always on the nightstand...unless I get up to "P" and thrash around and knock them off. I'm always feeling around on the floor in the dark for them! Cheri...it's nice to feel comfortable where we are at, isn't it? Just just keep in mind (not lecturing but I am sure Janet, Great or anyone in the maintenance stage will back this up) that a person needs to still be very diligent and aware. The only reason I mention this is because I do not want you to get two months after goal and become discouraged. You've done so great and plugged away and are so close to our goal. Well, off to my 3 mo appt with LB doc soon. Just totally p_ssed off this morning. Stepped on the scale and I'm down 3lbs. Why today when I have to weigh in? I'm going to wear my boots when I step on the scale (I always do anyway). I have faithfully kept my cals at 3000 the last month since losing that 6lbs when I moved "mom's" apt. Oh well, I eat and I feel healthy...that's what counts. Maybe a year from now I will be the whiner on her complaining if my metabolism changes back. Hope everyone has a good day. Where are you, Meredith...I need your flight info and cell # soon.

You have me choked up, Phyll. Honestly, crying. It just hit me what kind of determination you have. I just cannot explain in words what I feel about your after....just beautiful! Pretty sexy capris, too.

Julie...I usually read each night for about 2 hours...depends on how long my 2 crosswords take. Did them in 27 minutes tonight so I have been reading for quite awhile. Just made my box of box and packed them for our trip. If I'm not walking our big ole' dog, I'll be reading and I plan on kissing on DH some. Janet...I know you have noticed that some foods are different at different times. I have eaten steel cut oats for a year. On Sat is the fullest for the longes I have ever felt after eating them. But, they usually stick with me for a couple of hours or more. The problem I had is that they kept me TOO full and when that happens, I don't get all my cals in for the day or they are tougher to get them in. I did it though. Cappacino is my friend. Have my 3 mo appt with LB doc tomorrow. We'll see what his reaction is this month. I don't think he really knows what to think. He always has us fill out his form. What do you eat, do you need a fill...with me it's just a waste of ink. Heading to bed with a new book. Finished my last one in the tub tonight...my new thing...sitting in the tub for an hour each night. I am trying to find things that relax me. Yep...it worked. Hope you all have a great night's sleep.

You can also get them at any health food store. They come in bulk. Almost any supermarket carries them. They really fill you up though. I had about 3/4 cup on Sat. when at Perkins and I was full for way too long.

Hey Julie...hope you hear soon on your MRI and that you are able to get some answers soon as to what is going on. And...the size thing...it's like comparing amounts of fills. Everybody is different. Short, tall, big boned, small boned, etc. You are holding your own and it was during the holidays. I feel like I am on an island somedays compared to some because of my situation. But, I still feel like I have something to share because I've been where every one of you are or have been. That's the nice thing about this spot. We respect each other's position and what they are going through. You've come a long way, Julie. If you want to compare #'s..look at how much weight you have lost. It's a tremendous amount. The only thing I know is that you belong here and always have. So there!!!!!LOL

Linda...didn't know what Younkers was so went online. The site looks exactly like a Herbergers site. The same company logo. Must be a branch of their company. I have found a lot of my after goal clothes (and some b/4) at Herberger dept stores and on their website. They have great sales if you are willing to wait for them.

Yeah, Linda! Good going on the clothes finds. I LOVE boiled wool and wear it a lot. I even have an aqua spring/fall boiled wool jacket. They wear forever and a day. Also, congrats on the smaller sizes, the exercise you have been doing and being able to convince your DH that you are saving him money by shopping. You are quite the woman!

Great...OMG...could it be? Is there really a chance you could make it to our Girls Weekend? That would be awesome. Your boss is in the wrong not letting you know about your job situation. Must be his evil twin that made the decision not to inform you. LOL. I guess if you are anxious abuot the situation and do not want to wait, give him a call and tell him that you notice you are not on the schedule and ask why. It would be the perfect opportunity for him to have to disclose what is going on. That's so sweet what your DH said about your MOB dress. It really does suit you though. It's formal but comfortable, has sleeves but does not look too warm, beautiful color on you. I am a separates girl. Being short waisted, it works for me better than a one peice outfit. You made a good choice for you. You were talking about not being over 300lbs for this wedding and thankful. I avoided as many weddings I could when I was heavy. I just could never find anything I liked to wear and I felt nothing ever looked good on me. For family weddings I would buy some kind of tent and just go but feel so uncomfortable and awful. Now, I cannot wait to wear what I have in my closet and feel good about whatever I put on. The only obstacle I have is choosing colors that do not wash me out. Who woulda guessed? I'm proud of you, Lori. Proud of your weightloss, proud of you for sticking around for support and to give support...just proud that I got to know you. (That's the good twin talking). Eva....I AM the evil twin, I think...and, the good twin just comes out once in awhile. LOL Ditto what Janet said about FL. I think we have plenty of room for all of us.

I grew up with them and didn't like them. We were not allowed to use sugar so they were really bland. DH ordered them almost every morning at our resort cafe last year and I tasted them and the rest is history!

Mornin' Laura...thanks for the update on your dad. Have been wondering how he is doing. Will pray that this week is not too tough on his body and that he enjoys his "free" week without the chemo. We are warming up today. Supposed to be "above normal" all week. I'll take it. Venturing out to meet friends for coffee this morning. Will only have to let my truck warm up for 15 minutes today. Thank God for auto start. I imagine you guys say the same in the summer! Have a great day!
