Stress, flying and lifting will tighten me up. I am extra vigilent during those times and really take my time while eating and tend to go back to softer/mushies
-
ohhhh-so embarrassed!
Apples2 replied to kaylee5682's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Kaylee...I had major gas problems for the first nine months. I am two years out and all is well. Everything has leveled out. I tried a number of different anti-gas products. What seems to work best for me are charcoal tablets. The only time I take them now is b/4 I eat something I know is going to bother me (chili, brocolli, etc.). -
Hey Neenornina...jump on in! We love "new blood". Tell us about yourself....how you are doing with your band...any struggles? Your ticker shows you have had quite a big weightloss. Congrats and welcome

That Pooh Bear sure is one smart little guy! Sorry this separation with DH is upsetting you, Laura. Plan something special every day for you and DS to look forward to. Take him for a bike ride or walk. Plan one mile at first and then build on there. He might get a kick out of it. Let him cook a meal for you (supervised at his age), plan a sleepover with some of his friends, let him plan a party with dad's favorite foods for when he gets back, etc. And for mom....go to the gym any chance you get....it will make you feel extra good about filling up that time. Morning Gang...Another beautiful day here. Indian Summer. Just catching up around the house. Not much else. Have one guy working 15 miles north and one 11 miles south. I can always expect at least one trip either way throughout the day. Great...have a good trip. Lucky Girl! Now, aren't you happy you did the lapband???? Think of what travel would be like if you had not. No dental appt this week. Seems strange not to be in that chair. Next week Wed and then maybe 4-5 appts remaining. It's been so worth it. I am forever catching myself with my closed-mouth smile. I am working on it. I think I have had a tougher time adjusting to my new smile than I had to adjusting to my new post-weightloss body. Weird. Gotta go pretend that I am happy about doing housework. Later

Sweet dreams, Cheri!

Darn on losing your nutrition class, Arlene. Read previous post to Joyce. Share with all of us what you are eating. Maybe we can help you out. Good going on having a positive attitude about replacing with exercise.
-
Joyce...you are on the ball! I have something else to add to your list. Share, share, share. Start posting and sharing what you are eating on a daily basis. The rest of us can take a look at it and revamp or give advice if needed. Keep in mind that new ideas and advice are what we are all here for. So good to see you taking charge to make this change. Congrats!

I'm a step ahead of it all, Sandi and just waiting to take some action!

Good Morning Jen S. Again....you girls understand and will explain later. Was informed I need to acknowledge this person
-
Good Morning to all....quick post. Helping my guys today. Beautiful day for it....windy but sunshine. Joyce...how nice of you to share photos and go to the trouble of mailing them all. What a sweetie. Again, just have to tell you what I nice time I had with you on Sunday. All in all a very nice trip. Love my girls! Julie...hope Mimi gets some results. Good luck with all the wedding plans. Gotta run but just gotta say....today should be a good day. Things are pretty much figured out and I will be taking action. I am VERY thankful for our very efficient law enforcement center. Being envious of someone else's success whether it is for what the other person has or, for example, their success with the lap band is just something that I will never understand. Focusing on my own life and not obsessing about someone else's success. Being thankful for what I have and helping others when I can gives me purpose. Will explain when I can. You all have a good day.

Chris....just a little advice for you. Always have a "Plan B". If you are put in a situation where someone else cooks for you and you not sure if you will be able to eat it or want to eat it, have an alternative option. Preplanning is the key (especially the first year or so). There are so many great alternatives. Congrats on your decision to make your life a healthier one. 3 weeks may seem like a long time right now. Use that time to prepare yourself and ask any questions you might have. Hang around this thread and we will help you with any questions you may have and help you to pass that time till the day of surgery.

Joyce...hoping this kicks that plateau right in the butt and gets you back on that losing path again:thumbup:

Heck, Phyll, I just happened to come across it and ran right back here to tell Great. Then, went back to "set my fonts for life" and ended up with the same kick in the pants that you got!
-
Great...you were wondering about setting fonts so you would have your blue print. Go to "user pc" and go down to edit options. Scroll down to miscellaneous options and you will find it there.
-
Jen S. You girls will understand....just a bit of bait for the ole' fishing line
-
Side note...other than spending some time with you girls, I am so looking forward to NOT waking up prior to 5am to the Bose blaring the Lindor Farm Network!

My bags are packed and repacked and sitting by the door waiting for me to do some last minute things around here. I know I'm ready for a big event when I've broken my last two nails. A week ago my nails were just so nice and ready for me to paint them for the Vegas trip. (With what I do around here, nail polish lasts about 3 hours...thus the reason I don't get manicures). Kissed DH goodbye at 5am...he and DS are off for Northern MN this morning to buy a peice of heavy equipment for the business. He was so giddy....you'd swear he was off to buy some shoes or a couple of purses! Good news....I stepped on the scale this morning and have gained back 4 of the 6lbs I have lost. Now just hoping I don't get too tight when I fly. I have packed a dozen or more Protein bars just in case. A few last minute things to get done around here and I'm off. Plan on spending the day just taking my time and stopping off here and there. My hotel is 4.5 hour drive. Meeting my "fake sister" for dinner and plan to get to bed early since I fly out at 7am. See you all tomorrow! So looking forward to it.

I think I get one phone call right???? I'll give you a call, Judy...much better than waking up DH with a call like that:wink:
-
Sandy...you should have saved some of those unread pages to read when we are gone. Keep the home fires burning and thanks for the well-wishes. Would be nice if you join us next time.:rolleyes2:

Hope you really enjoy your new job, Laura. Thanks for the send off. We are going to hold you to your promise of joining us next time.

Put on a few miles today but not like at the beginning of the week. Our acres are spread out about 15 miles. Spent time giving rides when certain fields were done being harvested. They move the machinery, need rides back to their semi trucks and then another ride to get situated. They completed 3 fields today so go them to where they needed to go. Another set of rides about 10:30 pm and then done. Maybe one more in the morning b/4 I take off. Our leaves are beautiful. Orange/red/yellow.
-
Candice....I'll buy that Long Island Ice Tea for Janet about 10 minutes b/4 she rides the bull!
-
I pulled up the Cadillac Ranch website and it did not have any info on entertainment. I called their # and person told me that they have a DJ on Friday night.
-
You got my heart starting race...Would we BE so lucky?

Sounds like Linda is ready to whoop it up!
