Just trying to roll over to page #999....I think it's worth Gold Star for the day award. Heading to lunch with youngest DS. Second trip to town this morning. But, don't want to miss some time with him. He's busy with his new jobs and will take any time I can get. Julie.....those service calls can mean a long wait. Hope it's not the full 4 hours.

Reverie...you are not the only one to mention being so thankful for you mother's support. That is just wonderful. My DH was my biggist supporter and he still is. Congrats on your success...not too far from goal.

Janet...we hear you loud and clear. I get typing and thinking so fast that I make so many typos. Here instead of hear, there instead of their, now instead of not, etc. You all get what I mean and we all get what you mean. This isn't an grammar lesson and if we get so picky that it bothers us...well....guess just deal with the errors. We're here for each other...pure and simple. Woohoo...17 consecutive days off. Slip something in your boss's coffee today to calm him down. In my last job, no one knew how to do most of it so it was all on my desk when I got back. The week b/4 vacation was hell and the week after. But, being that I was the grain accountant and their one and only, I had to be gone for a full two weeks. It sucked to come back to all the piles. It was the best job and the worst job I ever had. Just take some time for you this next week so you have time to think and plan for your vacation. Can I pretend to be one of your family members? Or your travelling maid? Or your personal assitant? Or your life partner?????

Working on it!

Good Morning All...My guys are trying to get a couple good days in b/4 the freeze (not yet...a good thing) so DS was already here and ready to go a couple of hours ago. I try not to think of them during the day, working in the bitter cold. If all goes well today, they should be able to wrap up their tiling year tomorrow night. Kelly...that dog of yours is quite photogenic...just a cutie. Most of us here are dog lovers. I talk to mine all the time. I spend so much time alone from March thru Dec, I find that I talk to DH like I talk to the dog once he is home for the winter. And, Kelly, good to hear you say that you don't think you will feel added "food pressure" during this upcoming holiday. Planned treats were my friend but made sure I didn't go hog wild. The way I see it....we should enjoy the day but at the end of the day we cannot feel like we have ruined the day by over eating. Make sense. We want to feel like we did OK with our eating and still enjoy and not stress about the food. Holidays are part of life. Birthday parties, weddings, family vacations are all part of life and involve MEGA FOOD. If we can learn to tame the urge within us, we can partake but not overdo. You are doing great. Phyll...damn, huh? Hope your docs can get the meds right for you. And that weight gain...meds, right? Try not to let the scale rule right now. Just eat as you usually do, get through this and things will taper off. Sending loves and hugs. I bet you were IRATE when you got that message about the 20 docs. Let them do their own leg work from here on out. Hope the epidural works. Have been writing this post for more than two hours. Got a text from youngest DS and had to run some stuff to town for him. Got home and got a call to run some stuff to the field. Don't they know how important my morning post to the girls and TX is????LOL

So true, Janet...I wish I could explain my insides like you do.

Great post, Janet...thanks for sharing.

Well thanks, Kelly. I am truly humbled. There was a time that I could not even look at those pictures. Now I can look and KNOW that was somebody else...truly was.

The name came about because I was truly and apple shape. If you go to my profile photos, you will see.

Gold star for the day, Linda! Thank you for being so open and honest and posting this. Having a well balanced diet really does affect how we feel and how much energy we have. I feel it every day. I do not allow myself to NOT get what I need to fuel my body. I WILL NOT put crap in my body (just those treats for special occassions). I know that my energy level is based on how I fuel it. Good for you for realizing what you needed to do b/4 you gained. Good for you! Your post made me so happy. :blushing:

Apples2 replied to ElfiePoo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You just dated me also, Elfie...I picked up on that one right away! Your menu today sounds yummy. -
Yep...going to put this behind us...been going on for way too long. There will be consequences for their actions. Hey Phyll...Can you hear me???? How are you doing? Getting out some???? Miss you.:blushing:

My husband no longer wants to have sex with me. TMI ALERT!!
Apples2 replied to nameunknown's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Certainly not posting this to make OP feel any worse than she does...but....I don't know a man that would turn down ANY sex because it might hurt a little bit. Heidi...you stated "Why not try different positions..maybe you'll find one that doesn't cause him discomfort". I'm guessing the only discomfort this man has is within himself and he needs to figure out why he is using excuses. -
But, Janet, you have to realize...I don't have a full time job so I have time for things that anyone that does work would not even think about being able to do. I do have a lot of idle time. What I do and the tasks I have a really quite piddly compared to others that work outside the home. I've been there, done that for many years so know what ppl go through to get things done. Hopefully next week you will feel some of the busyness ease and you can relax on your vacation and just enjoy your family time. A nice thing you are doing for them. Cheri...guilt can interrupt life and I like your idea of giving it up. My youngest always gave up watermelon and corn on the cob (not in season)...smart boy. Linda....you have had more than your share of stress lately with kids, etc. and good to hear that you are going to go and talk about it and find out how to better handle it. I a believer in unloading. Heck, had weekly sessions for 4.5 yrs when dealing with my family of origin issues and childhood horrors. With the issues we have had in our lives since last spring, I have been booking weekly visits again. Really makes a difference on how I deal. Hugs. Good Morning to All....On the run today. Have the truck fueled up and ready to go. Farm errands and a bit of driving. Just hate to go out in the cold but gotta do it. Think I will take the dog along for some company. I will have time to hit my favorite upscale consignment shop and look a bit. As I've stated b/4, I need not a thing but love a good deal. Janet, I believe Eva is driving to Ohio. Quite the drive...ewww. I'm an air traveller and already not looking forward to the long drive to AZ. Oh...not saying too much right now but FINALLY things are getting wrapped up with stalking case. Who would have thunk it could take the long? Will let you all know when things are taken care of. It has really sucked but we will put it all to bed soon. At least I have the upper hand with it all and proof. Will catch up with you all later.

Linda....by no means was this my first colonoscopy. I have had many...just not for 5 yrs though. I did call doc's office when I got the instructions and could hear him giving exact details to his nurse and I wrote everything down and it coincided with what I got in the mail from him. It's all behind me and never to return to him again. And, for all of you that said I should have chewed on him...well, I was out of it at the time and then he disappeared. I sat down at the computer this morning and wrote a letter to him. He now knows....

Janet...all I can say about your week (next) is whew....I just hope after all of that you are able to rest on vacation.
-
You know, it seems they do something like this every time there is some family get-together. You should be able to respond to that email without saying something you will be sorry about later. A simple "No, it just does not work with my plans. End of discussion. Have a nice Thanksgiving". If you get anything from them after that, it can be ignored.
-
Gosh...I haven't said "screw" anyone for a really long time....it felt really good. It just released some of my anger. Thanks, Great for letting me say something rotten about your sis's
-
Jodi...hope that stomach bug does not make it's way to yours...Be prepared and have things on hand to get you through if you do happen to get it. Funny...Oscar Meyer...same thing flashed through my mind when I read it. The little Jewish girl hanging onto a big ole' hot dog or bologna. I don't know how you do it all. I thought my life was busy but think back to when I worked and had young kids in school. Guess I just didn't have much time for anything other than family and work. Well....the thick wool sweaters are lined up and ready to wear. In fact, I have three layers of wool on today. Cold and damp. Had not plans on leaving the house but something came up and I had to run a farm errand. Why do we live here????????? Great...your sisters make me so angry. Don't give into their idiotic requests. They are having GM for dinner? Let them figure it out and try to not have guilt over it. No...DON'T have guilt over it. I know part of your guilt is because of your love for GM and wanting to take care of her. You just line up your own little visits with her when you can and let them figure out their own crap. I am sure I would have answered that email by now and just let them know loud and clear that it just does not fit with your plan for the day. Screw them! Who the he!! do they think they are? Janet is free TG day. Get her a buddy pass, have her go pick up GM and when she delivers her, she can jack up your dear sis's. Just don't give into what you do not want to do and do not let your guilt of not doing it ruin your holiday.

Pregnant and continuously rejected by Doctors.
Apples2 replied to 99ways's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sorry for your toubles in finding a doctor. You might want to go to the Pregnancy section within this forum and start a thread regarding your situation. There might just be another pregnant LB poster that lives in your area. -
A few days ago you mentioned that you were going to contact your LB doc to see if you need a slight unfill. If you are still having reflux, you really do need to make a visit to him/her to see what to do about it. You don't want to continue to irritate things. I lived with extreme reflux prior to LB surgery and hernia repair that I just don't think I would be willing to go for more than a day with it now. Reflux your body telling you that something is just now right. Take care and let us know what you find out. Please make the call.

Have a great trip, Arlene!

I guess I was just wondering if your doc had you on a liquid diet prior to surgery. I had to do a 2 week full liquids prior. But, only a few days of liquids after and then I got to move onto mushies. Just a matter of hours for you now. How are you doing? Anxious? Ready?
