Janet....yum on yesterday's menu and todays. I love cooked greens and spinach. I love them cold with vinegar or malt vinegar on them. A few sprinkles of chopped black olives and I think I have died and gone to heaven. Have fun with the "Snowbirds". We are looking forward to being just like them in a few weeks. Melissa...so happy you are excited about your job and good to hear that the company has added benefits. Hope you just love it to death. You deserve it. You also deserve to have some success with your eating. See if you can coincide a new start here with the start of your new job. Pack your lunch...don't let things/stress throw you off. You did that first half of your weightloss...time for you to start feeling good about getting the second half off. YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!!! We will be your cheerleaders. Go, Melissa, GO!!!!!!!

Soooooo....went and looked up the weather. Not bad compared to yesterday. Only 5 below zero with a wind chill factor of 24 below zero. Balmy...heading to church!

Sandy...was wondering if you had something going on....you certainly do. Are there any "Adult Daycare" around you? We are just a little rural community and have them so there's gotta be something like that around you. Other than that, can you apply for "Home Health Care"? I think if it gets to the point where it is an all day, the family needs to hire a full-time person. I imagine your father needs help getting up and down each and every time? You poor girl...I can imagine that you are beside yourself....especially if he is not willing to be out of his home. The only way I would know to start looking for the Home Health Care would be to call you County Health Services or look them up on the internet. Hugs. Good Morning to All.....still windy but no longer snowing. Cannot read what the temp is this morning as the outside part of our system blew away. If it could talk, it would say it is "Colder than crap". Have not decided if I am going to brave it to go out to church. Not sure if I mentioned but "Sun porch Church" just wasn't doing it for me....like it had for the last 15 yrs. This year has really tested me (to the max) and I wanted some place I could go. Well, started going to this church just get an hour of peace that I cannot seem to get here. I actually look forward to it every week. The killer stress seems to wane a bit. OK...off to make breakfast and decide if I want to brave the cold. If not, I am sure it's another day of being stuck in the house. Don't think I can do this much longer. You all have a nice Sunday.

Jessica...saw your last blog entry and the video. Way to to, Little Girl! Sooooooooooooo darned proud of you! Gold Star day for you!!!! Sending the love. Hey Great, figured you were busy with DD. Hard to believe she is that far along already, Grandma!

Yep, Arlene...this sucks and is not our first storm of the year...really lose track after awhile. Thanks for the warm hugs, BTW. I don't think I would be getting a fill anytime soon, Arlene....at least not until these PB episodes pass. Just fill up on more veggies when you are hungry to get you through when hunger hits. Went to DS's GF's 8 yrs old's dance (ballet) recital last night. So, so cute. It included 2yr olds through Seniors in high school. Our dear little girl was the lead dancer in her age group (8-10). All I know is she is very coordinated and graceful and we enjoyed ourselves. Her 5 yr old brother was there with us in the audience. He let us know that the Santa that walked up on stage at the end of the recital was "Definately an impostor...cuz real Santas don't carry their gifts in black garbage bags". I'm just having such a tough time not loving these two kids up too much. They are so much fun.

Good Evening Everyone....Well, got the color to work but not the size. Tried everything. Going to just give up on it....not one to give up easily but no use wasting my time. All plans canceled for today. Had some good ones, too. Housebound. All we can hear is the icy snow hitting the house and high winds. Cannot see very far out in the yard. Hatefully cold. AZ is beginning to feel like home. DH just might have to do some talking to get me to come back. Stayed busy all day making Christmas goodies and getting them boxed up and ready to send on Monday. DH is snoring in the chair with a snoring 100lb black lab on his lap. Jessica...thinking of you as you run your 5K. So proud of everything you have accomplished. Way to go on the grades and good luck on the rest of your tests. All this schooling will be behind you b/4 you know it. Great photos. Thanks for sharing. You look like a totally different person. Cheri....have fun hosting your party tonight. Good way to do it with others bringing things. Don't worry about your house. I bet it is just perfect and ppl are more at ease when the hostess is at ease...so...just relax and have fun. Julie...wish you could figure out what would work best for you and allow you to sleep. There's gotta be a solution to the problems you are facing. Just gotta be. Don't give up. Keep on trying to find that doctor that is willing to dig into this for you. OK>>>>been missing so much this week but caught up on posts. Just a really draining week and just cannot take the time right now. Love ya all...just spent.. Have to get the kitchen back in order. Looks like a bunch of 4 yr olds were baking for the holidays. Talk to you all later.

Kelly...cute photo of Sophie....another problem I am having. Cannot click on photos for a better shot...just keeps working and working with not results. Did Sophie also trim down some with all your walking? You are doing great. Once in the habit, it's so much easier to just keep moving.

Tina...prayers for a full recovery. Thank God you found your lump when you did. Wishing you the best during your treatment and recovery. Hugs

Good afternoon....still no ability to change to my green print or to change font. Don't get it. Could do it b/4. It's depressing to see and miss my green print. I know there are worse things (like being in bandster hell, Chris). Been super busy with getting ready for Monday's tax appt. Not time for much else. Chris...as Linda stated, try to get out and walk. ANYTHING to take your mind off of your hunger. It's no fun to be wishing for that restriction and see the scale go up. I did whatever it took to get out of the kitchen or anywhere I had temptation. I would take a long/fast walk, brush my teeth when hunger hit, make myself a skinny hot chocolate, eat SF jello, grab a couple of pieces of beef jerky, get my book and hop in the tub, call a friend, take a drive, start a cleaning project...even if I didn't really need to. It WILL get better but hard to tell when and which fill will make the difference. Until that time, it's up to you. And, keep in mind, there will be hunger even when you get to a good restriction. Just make sure to have good/healthy foods to make your choices from and trigger foods out of your house. We all know what you are going thru and are here for you. I get you on the idle time on your hands and wanting to be back at work. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm about 11 yrs worth of wishing. Hope you all are looking forward to a nice weekend. Will check back later.

Good Evening....damn this site. Was able to select font and color now I can't. Ready for a change. Just popping in. Busy last couple of days. Had a nice overnight with my friend. Lots of time to talk. Did a little shopping. Only a couple of hours. Another pair of boots to add to my collection. Fun. Hope you all have a great evening! Talk to you all tomorrow.

Weird...system will not let me change my font and color again. Wish they would get the bugs worked out on this. I still cannot see who is posting. Someone want to answer my question? Asked twice....someone? Can anyone else see at the bottom of the thread who is reading? Good Morning All... Heading out today. Picking up my GF, have to travel a bit, hitting the mall, might take in a movie and dinner, a little more shopping in the morning and then travel home. Looking forward to getting off the farm and 24 hours of leaving things behind me. My wake and funeral are Fri/Sat so I did not have to cancel out on today. Was afraid that might happen. Soooooo...going to go and enjoy. Talk to you all when I get back.

Cheri...thinking of you today. Hugs

Laura...DH is very sensitive to laundry soap and I have to be very careful even switching between varieties of the same brand. It's usually the elastic in his tidey whities and tops of his socks that it affects first. Jessica...you rock! Good going on your tests and keeping up with your 5K training. Cannot wait to hear how you do. Just completing it is an accomplishment.

Blondeej....I am hoping that you continue to post and keep us updated. I am looking forward to seeing a thread titled "100 lbs LOST in 1 year". Wishing you the best!

Tina...prayers said. Keep us posted. Hugs

Hey Eva...nice, newsy post. Happy to hear from you. I try to do my baking and space it out so when I deliver it, it is fresh. Very little goes in the freezer. Just told DH of your 70's temps. We cannot wait. Whine. You guys are going to hear that whine every day until we take. Whine

Janet...I'm still holding a grudge from 7 yrs ago when I forgot I had my stainless steel nude man lighter in my purse and one of the TSA female agents copped it. It was a gift from a GF for being maid of honor in her wedding (I know...a little strange...but I loved this girl and she has passed away). Stupid me for not remembering it. I bet that TSA agent thinks of me every time she takes a smoke break. Yep...we've had quite a few wakes/funerals this year. Beginning to feel like this might become our social life. Funeral hotdish anyone???? All the coffee you can drink???? A little Jello salad????? All our friends parents are elderly and we live in a community where everyone knows everyone and a person is friends with most. Just part of life but I hate seeing my friends deal with the death of a family member. The friend of mine who lost her mother was the one that almost lost her daughter twice this summer and she was in Mayo for a loooooooooong time. The one we had the benefit for in Sept. She also lost her 14 yrs old daughter in a horrible accident where 3 young teens were killed during a state fair trip. My house smells wonderful. Have a low fat turkey pot pie in the oven and a pot roast with carrots and potatoes in the slow cooker. I was almost certain that my DH was the neatest person in the world. UNTIL I spent the last few days in the house with him. I have been picking up after him all morning. Crap everywhere. Just think he wanted to relax, eat, sleep, make a mess....a real man mess. Hope he got that out of his system. Next time he's going to clean it up. A regular work day in the shop for him and DS. Yeah! Got the house to myself. Can still see my guys during meal time and kick them out again. My kind of day.

Phyll....not sure about this but there is a "mobile" option (I believe in the user's page). Not sure if that has to be activated. Great would probably know. I still cannot see who is looking at the thread. I had it for a week and then just "poof" went away.

Good Morning All....Happy Monday! Janet...have a great day off of work. Too bad you didn't get a chance to sleep in. We get booked into our 4:30-5:00am routine and have a hard time changing it after harvest and tiling is done. Still getting up with the chickens (not our chickens....I wouldn't have the little pecking/crowing things). Can't wait to see the underwater photos. Last trip DH took to Australia, he did the Great Barrier Reef dive. Such beautiful photos. Meredith...how much fun is it to decorate your own home for Christmas???? Fun. I love, love, love Christmas decorating. So many unique peices we have collected over the years. But, my favorite is still the little glass egg with the glass dear standing within it tree ornament that my smiley faced boys gave me when they were 4 and 6. Went to Hallmark shop all by themselves with their piggy bank money while I stood outside the door. Gosh, I miss those days. Have fun baking. I will do a little more. What I made yesterday is already boxed up and ready to be shipped and taken to landlords and friends. I love baking but I took on way to much at one time yesterday. Finished up about 9pm last night. One more stint with Cookies and a day of making fudge. I am not used to eating crap and think I had 4 cookies on an empty stomach and did not set well. Washed it through with some cocoa and then I was fine. Great...I'd rather have the snow this time of the year. Our first two weeks of true winter was rain, freeze, snow and then rain, freeze snow. Makes for trecherous driving conditions. I have found that my car handles better than the pickup. Go figure. Arlene....I am thinking that you must be very carb sensitive. I was until just b/4 I got to goal. I kept my carbs (or tried to) under 40 and it worked. If I went over, it was about a week b/4 the scale even budged a bit. I know it's tough during the holidays to stay on task but you just gotta say it in your head when you are tempted "I cannot have that" and reach for another healthy choice. Hugs. Busy day catching up with some things. Heard on the obits this morning that my good friend's mother passed away. Plan on going to visit her later. Made a pumpkin pie, muffins and packed up some of the cookies I made yesterday to take to her house and visit with her a bit. That will mean another wake a funeral this week. Selfish of me to even mention this but I am hoping the wake is not till Wed night cuz don't want to cancel my overnighter with other GF. Might have to. Cold, cold, cold today but sun is shining. Helps tremendously when the sun shines. Where are you, Julie? You all have a good day and will check in later. Sending the love.

Thanks for the clarification, Janet. You wouldn't catch me drinking Baileys...don't like the taste. Do you have some kind of box you can put around your wires so Bella will leave them alone? Good to have you back.
-
Oh yeah, Janet. Hope when you step on the scale it is nice to you.

Great photos, Janet. Those two GDs are adorable. We already knew Andrew was a cutie. Sounds like a great time. Thanks for sharing. What? Drunk? Didn't quite get that. The only thing I am feeling is an upset stomach from one too many Christmas Cookies that I baked today.

Kelly....I'm not sure about the hormone thing....mine left in the truck about 8 years ago. But, I WOULD see your GP just to be sure things are the way they should be.
