Today I did an experiment and ate my veggies, well it was mushrooms which aren't really veggies with my meat. The result was the same as when I eat salads out. Protein didn't sit in my stomach as long, and I wasn't full/satisfied as long. Going to stick with eating my veggies separate

Interesting - based on a number of your posts I have gone back to eating protein first, leaving veggies second (if I can), and/or loading up on protein meals throughout the day and ending with an all veggie meal for dinner. Even in a short amount of time I've noticed the difference in fullness I experience.

I have wondered for a while how people can eat all this food in quantities that I can't. I figured it out yesterday. I had always thought this was why, but I have never done it at home with a normal portion of steak. The amount of protein you get with a salad is very minimal at a restaurant so I mainly attributed it to that. My steak experiment yesterday kinda cemented I'm going to be eating how I normally eat forever.
