    African American vsgers!

@@tamirn I started at 365/370 and I am 194 right now and I am not quite 17 months from surgery. I expect I will exceed my goal of 180, and I am thinking about changing my goal to 165. I have to see how the next few pounds go. You lose the fastest in the first 6 months because you are still healing. It is really important during that time to really nail down good habits. Once you are healed you can eat a wider variety of foods and old habits can creep in. Your sleeve alone will probably get you to about 250, if you really want to lose all the way down well below 200, that is going to be on you and your lifestyle changes.

    Phentermine after 5 month stall

@@jam2412 1200 calories is good, but your 1200 calories don't have enough Protein and aren't clean enough. This summer I played Pokemon all summer and when I was walking I was burning 500-1000 additional calories a day walking. I had to increase my calories or I got weak, light headed and I stalled. I don't know if you have an activity tracker, they are not the most accurate so I don't go entire by them, but those help. What you are doing now isn't working, so you have to do something else. Honestly I would stop working out for 2 weeks, and work on getting my food right, 1100-1200 calories or mostly protein with some decent fats like butter and olive oil would help you lose probably. Then once you break your stall and get your food straight, go back to working out and add an additional 100 to 200 calories and see if keep losing. This is something you have to play with and tweak along the way. I don't know how long you have been at 1100-1200 calories and stalled. Sometimes to break a stall I increase my calories by 300-400 for a few days and my stalls break. This isn't a straight line, it goes up and down and your body changes and you have to roll with the punches. Also, I feel like you are too soon from surgery with too much restriction to need a diet drug. Your issue isn't over eating, you are just not eating right. You are barely eating enough now, if you go on a drug your calories are going to drop to what? 600 800 a day max? You seem like you have a real life, you can't function like that, not well anyway.

Drop the carbs and the yogurt. Increase your protein. you should be able to have 3-4 ounces of meat at a time. I would ditch the premier shake too honestly, and replace it with meat unless you really just can't eat and that is your only option. Cut out all processed foods (and Protein shakes are fake processed foods), and eat lean meats you cook yourself, get up to 90 grams of protein and I am pretty sure you will see the scale moving. Even with your not intense workouts you are still probably burning more calories than you are intaking. You need more protein to fuel yourself.
  4. Do you keep a food log? Do you weigh your food? How many Grams of Protein per day? How many grams of carbs? How many calories a day on average?

    Phentermine after 5 month stall

Do you keep a food log? What else do you eat? What are your calories each day? What are your carbs each day? Are you regular? I know this isn't what you asked but tweaking your diet might work better than diet pills.

Are you supposed to be at 500 calories at this point? The more you increase your calories, the more you will lose, you can't function on 500 calories for an extended period of time, not and be active. I lost the most weight in the 800-1100 calorie range.

Chronic Diarrhea with Surgery Next Week

Naw, I mean even people who don't have your issue have it right before surgery because of the liquid diet. You start right before surgery so you won't have to worry about having the runs on the table. Don't worry.

Getting Sleeved in MX on Monday the 5th!

I really don't think it was just the site making it up. http://www.10news.com/news/team-10/team-10-doctor-accused-of-injuring-and-killing-patients-shares-his-story http://www.wptv.com/news/local-news/investigations/mom-of-5-latest-person-to-die-after-surgery-with-dr-linked-to-other-deaths-and-injuries http://www.10news.com/news/team-10-dozens-injured-during-weight-loss-surgery-in-mexico http://www.abcactionnews.com/news/local-news/i-team-investigates/another-death-following-weight-loss-surgery-booked-by-florida-company So it isn't just this site. I am happy to hear that you and all the people you know had good outcomes with him. Someone on this site complained about my Dr. I had great care with him and they didn't. This was in the US. It can happen with any Dr, but I don't think Alex is bias or without merit in this case.

Try eating Keto, you could drop your A1C down pretty fast. You won't heal if your blood sugar is out of control which is why they don't want to do surgery on you with uncontrolled diabetes.

Well you might as well get use to it. You don't lose weight every day or even every week. You body is going to stall as it adjusts, and then you lose again. You are going to stall a lot in the process of getting to your goal weight. When you are stalled, make sure that you take your measurements. Also a pound is meaningless. I can weigh myself right now. Drink 16 ounces of Water and be up a pound in 3 minutes. Your body weight is going to fluctuate as you are losing depending on the contents of your body. You didn't say anything about if you are regular or when your last bowel movement was. If you can't take the stalls, then don't weight yourself as often. It helps.

Do I tell or say nothing.

@@bossportsgal I am a strong supporter of not telling anyone. One of the reasons why is because you will always be that person that had surgery to people. Even when you are years post-op surgery effects are gone and you will still be that person that had surgery. At almost 1.5 years I really don't feel like a surgery patient. Sure I have smaller capacity than other people but I can easily eat around my sleeve if I choose to. So I still have to make good choices like anyone else. I know a lot of people always feel like weight loss patients but I really don't. I feel pretty normal other than suffering the affects of losing a ton of weight, and the things that come with that, but I have friends that lost weight on keto that have the same issues and didn't have surgery. I would hate to be stuck with the surgery label for the rest of my life and have people watching everything I eat forever. That is what I have seen happen with everyone that has surgery, people watch what they eat, and comment on it, either to the persons face or behind their back. As far as people that will tell you that people will suspect when you lose weight. I have lost almost 1/2 my body weight and no one suspects surgery. The reason is because I have totally changed my entire life style. I am more active, and I eat differently, even when eating out. So if you live a healthy life, people won't question how you are losing weight since most people think diet and exercise are the key to losing weight anyway. They will assume you just finally got it right. People are sheep, them bah.

    Drinking Socially Post Op

You may find after a period of not drinking that you have no desire to. You might only go out once or twice every couple months now, but when you lose weight and have more energy and a new attitude towards life, you will probably go out more. Plus 21 is coming up and you will actually be legal. I expect you will want to party and enjoy life. A lot of people your age binge drink anyway, I know I did at that age, well kinda. You can drink socially, just be careful. Everything that OkPirate said was good advice. Now I enjoy being sober and being the designated driver. I have a big personality and I don't need alcohol to be fun. It is also interesting to watch other people drink and how it affects them. Just think about it carefully and proceed with caution. Sometimes when these alcohol threads come up everyone says you will be come a drunk or whatever. That really isn't the case for everyone. Just being aware can help you avoid a lot of the pitfalls.

    6.5 pounds in 4 days!

Alot of people do! I only eat 200 calorie Breakfast and lunch (banana, egg then soup) and a 100 calorie evening meal most days. I try to push more and occasionally hit 700 cals if my granddaughter gives me a chocolate button or two when playing. But most days, 400 to 500 calories is my outcome. For the first three months it was 100 to 300, last three is 400 to 500, with 600 to 700 exception days. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App And you are sick all the time. People that want to live have more calories. Your body can't function on that little. Starvation is not health. @@OhHeyMarina Ahh I missed the yogurts.
