Can't get enough calories to exercise...

That weight gainer shakes seems like a terrible idea. They are high in carbs. You don't have to "workout" in the beginning, brisk HIIT walking on the treadmill will be enough.
  3. As far as smells, nothing I smell makes me queasy. I am almost 2 weeks out. Everyone is different some things you are going to have to wing it on.
  4. Wow at all the cost comments. Different people have different budgets. 30,000 divided by 24 months is a little over a thousand a month. If you need nice suit for work, or purchased one purse or one or 2 pairs of shoes you can easily hit that number. Different people view clothing differently. Some people how that dress an appear translates to money. A real estate agent selling multi millionn dollar listings for example cannot show up in some suit from the Limited. The onky issue i had with the advice was dressing you age. That seems outdated and people shoukd dress for their figure.
  5. If they bulk order from Portillo's like we used to in my office just grab the meat. 1/2 our team was low carb ing. Portillo's is the perfect restaurant for it. Get a hot dog or a polish and skipthe bun
  6. You can't expect other people to change because you have. When your coworkers order Portillo's get a cheese beef on croissant and don't eat the croissants. It is so messy if you eat it like that with a fork no one will know. Order Ceasar salads and just eat the chicken. You have to find a way to fit in the regular world without feeling like an outcast or long term you are going to relapse or feel miserable. Normal people low carb all the time. Look for low carb recipes for your kids. Most kids love low carb meals

    July sleevers?

I purchased the new whey but I have not used it. I got it as an emergency if I had trouble getting enough protein in. It is not a high quality protein so I would avoid it except for emergencies
  8. I don't see dodging the fact you aren't eat much as an issue. Over the years I have been on so many diets, no one will think anything about it. I have been a low carber off and on for years if I say I am eating low carb, no one will care. Most people with any home training are not rude enough to continue to ask questions. The one thing I learned from reading forums over and over is that you cannot un-tell people and you can never really know what a persons response is. This won't help the OP but maybe it will help someone else. Only tell the one person you need with you at surgery. Limit the people you tell, even the people you think will be supportive. The more people you have asking you questions the more pressure you have, even if they are positive. This is a big time consuming life style change with enough stresses, people just add more.

    Relationship Question..?

It seems like he really loves you the person. The guys that still want a fat woman do everything to derail weight loss. Read around. They dont support and tge bring around bad foods and all the bad favorites. He seems to really love you, enjoy it.

    Obsessed with weighing in... HELP?

If this is your pre-op diet to shrink your liver and you have surgery in X days, ditch the scale. You want to be as calm and relaxed going into surgery as possible.

    Costs a lot

This is the website for the Dr in Las Vegas she recommended. http://blossombariatrics.com/ If my insurance didn't cover my surgery and I had to cash pay, this is the place I would have gone. They have tons of information and their staff is very educated on nutrition.

    So devastated

Open enrollment is coming up soon. Maybe your husband can get a plan just for himself and you find a plan on the healthcare exchange that covers WLS.

    How thin is TOO thin?

You look good but like @@Babbs said, you are going to gain some back later, so might as well go for the 125.
  15. I was out longer than I expected today and I had to get a GNC lean from GNC in the mall as an emergency. It was too sweet and kinda gross.. It doesn't taste like any high quality Protein I have ever had. When you are pre-op you don't have to drink a watery shake. You are just going to feel like you are starving. Look for a Meal Replacement shake with Fiber in it, it is more filling and mix it with ice.

I am a week out today and even though I feel almost normal, I only have about 5-6 hours of good energy and then I need to take about an hour nap. Today was my first post op visit with the Dr and he said that this is major surgery for your body, even if you do not feel bad. He said that your body is using most of your energy to repair and rebuild itself and it is going to take 6-8 weeks to get your energy back. Don't over estimate what you can do to the point of jeopardizing your recovery. I decided today I am going to rest more, and stop pushing myself just because I feel good and I am happy.
  17. I knew I would get sick of Protein shakes. I have bone broth or lamb broth from whole foods with unflavored protein powder once or twice a day. The lamb broth is the most flavorful broth I have ever tasted. The bone broth does not have a lot of flavor but it does have 9 grams of protein, by the time I add my protein power to it, its over 30 grams of protein. http://www.gnc.com/Allmax-Nutrition-IsoNatural-Unflavored/product.jsp?productId=3467633 I purchase it at a local place and it is about $10 cheaper than GNC.

I don't know what to do.

If you have been going back and forth on this, then you know deep in your heart you need it. It took me a long to get to the point I was okay with having surgery, then when I was ready, I made it happen in less than 60 days so I wouldn't chicken out.

Did anyone go thru a depression after surgery?

Some say the depression is because of the hormones trapped in fat being released and it changes your moods. I don't know. I am too new to be there yet. Some of it is going to depend on your lifestyle and recovery. The people with families seem to suffer the most because other people are eating things they can't eat and finish sooner. Single people don't have these complaints. I don't have to worry about people bring pizza into the house or anyone commenting on anything I do. I live alone and work from home. I don't have the same outside pressures that other people have. No cupcakes in the break room, no awkward business dinners. No kids to cook for, etc. I was also a low carber off and on for about 15 years, so low carbing is not a big change to me. The idea that I can eat low carb and easily feel full is thrilling to me. A normal size stomach does not get the same full feeling from Protein. I can say for me, right now I feel more optimistic about the future than I have in years.

    Can't hit 100 lbs...

I agree with who said stop weighing yourself. If you are going to have chips in the house at least get the Quest Protein chips so you don't sabotage yourself

I ran a ton of errands. Cleaned my house, and went to FairSTL (which was brutal, walking up hill, humidity and heat). I really had quite the work out before surgery just getting ready for surgery. Iwas regularly walk a minimum of 3 miles just doing everyday tasks. If you don't make August, what about Christmas break? if you miss August make sure you make them give you a date in December as soon as possible, everyone is trying to squeeze in for December.

I have that issue, like I need to burp but it is stuck. Usually standing up fixes it.

I would walk every day right now, as much as you can. Build yourself up, exercise your lungs. So you are ready.
