    Sample day of eating

You can eat tuna 3 days after surgery?
  4. What brand do you use? I would love to try this. My surgeon and NUT both have suggested adding a b-12 supplement. I use the one prescribed by my Doctor. Nascobal. They also provide bariatiric vitamins for "free" each month with the Nascobal prescription.

    Eating before its time ..

http://www.vitacost.com/syntrax-nectar-whey-protein-isolate-powder-Cappuccino If you look around on the site they have a lot of flavors. You might want to look around where you live. I think Vitamin Shoppe has the single serve sample packs, and so do supplement stores, not health food stores. Look for the stores the meat heads go to.

I can understand being young and still wanting to have a good time. Just drink Water out of a whiskey glass like its vodka, no one will know the difference, except you.

Activity Trackers & Fitness Apps- What do you use?

Yeah the surge seems like a waste. And as far as the GPS goes, it doesn't have a good review. The Charge HR is ugly though, and it is limited to one color. That is okay for working out, but when I am dressed in street clothes, I am going to use my Flex because it is more fashionable, plus I own it and there is nothing wrong with it. The fact you can have 2 trackers now in one fitbit account is the best of both worlds
  11. Are you on a B-12? I have the B-12 nasal spray and I have almost limitless energy now.
  12. Oh man, just say no to New Whey. I bought some pre surgery for emergency purposes. I didn't know what I would be able to tolerate, and I thought if nothing else I could use that to get enough Protein in. Last week I got busy, forgot to eat most of the day and had on early in the evening. It is the nastiest most vile thing I have stated. People complain about the stuff you drink for your swallow test, well this tastes almost just like it only nastier because it has fruit punch (flavor). Get Syntrax Nectars. They are the same consistency as Water, and taste delicious. You can get by with 5-6 oz of water for a full scoop so you can get all the protein in if you are having issues drinking. Also broth and unflavored protein. Lamb broth is the best broth I have tasted. The chicken broth sucks, no matter what brand or how expensive. If I was going to do chicken broth again I would just make my own. Broth and unflavored protein is really good for when you get tired of sweet drinks.

Activity Trackers & Fitness Apps- What do you use?

I have a Fitbit Flex. I purchased it a couple years ago. I selected it because you could use it in the pool, and at that time I worked out a lot in the pool. I also liked that the band was small and you can change the bands. I have about 10 and change them to match my outfits. They can be purchased in packs on amazon and eBay. They are not FitBit OEM but aftermarket. I have decided to purchase a FitBit Charge HR in the next few weeks for workouts. I want the constant heart rate monitoring. I don't trust the machine at the gym. It is wider than the Flex, so I plan on just wearing it for workouts, walks and maybe around the house. I am going to purchase a Tory Burch band for my Flex so I can wear it out and have it look like a piece of jewelry instead of a fitness tracker. Fitbit is updated so you can have 2 trackers now. Right now I track everything on the Fitbit website. I am going to switch back LoseIt and upgrade to premium. Fitbit is removing some recording features soon so this seems like a good time to take make the switch. i really like the visuals that LoseIt has as far as tracking your foods. There is a girl on Instagram that was sleeved this year and posts all her food each day on Instagram. She uses LoseIt Premium so you can see it in action https://instagram.com/sleevedin2015/

    Dating after surgery

I am avoiding date until I can eat more. I am still large so I can't play the "I eat like a bird, because I am a real lady" card yet. If I want until Spring/Summer I will be able to eat more and I will be smaller. I really need to focus on myself right now. There is so much that goes into post-op life. Remembering to take all my Vitamins at different times of the day, is hard. Right now I am doing 2 workouts a day. I plan on increasing that in winter when I forced to be inside more. I think I am going to need a good 6-9 months to get used to this life, before I add anything else to it. Plus I don't want to go on a dinner date until I can eat steak!

    Buying future clothes

I think I am going to have some of my winter clothes tailored. It is something you have to play by ear I think. There is no way to tell how much or how fast you will lose, or where. I am still planning on getting through the next few months with dresses and belts and jackets. Spring/Summer I plan on getting new form fitting clothes.

    Going out to eat

Don't eat much and balance it out by cutting back the rest of the day. If you know you going out to lunch, have protein shakes the rest of the day.

how much are you eating after 1 month?

Today I am 5 weeks out. Breakfast: Protein Shake after workout Lunch: Low Carb Crab Cake ( I made a recipe) they are 3oz each before being cooked Snack: Crab cake or 2oz of Turkey Dinner: Swai Fillet 3oz After Dinner/Evening Walk: Protein Shake I can barely get that amount of protein in at a time. I do not eat all of it all the time. @@roxy79 I really think you need to drop that bread and carbs one month out, you are not getting enough protein in, and with those carbs you are going to have a hard time losing weight.

    Weight Stall, help!

If you aren't walking or working out, now is the time to add it and it will break you out that stall. And yeah carbs, Proteins matter. You could have 600 calories of Protein or 600 calories of mashed potatoes. Calories need a break down. Are you logging and measuring/weighing everything?

Two Weeks Until Surgery - Suggestions on Exercise

Yeah that is the bad thing about working out pre surgery. It stimulates your appetite. I love that now at most I am just thirsty. I don't get ravenous like I used to after a workout.

    Unsupportive partner

It is only going to get worse. That is how abusers are, they abuse, apologize and keep abusing. You won't be successful in this environment. And kids deserve better than parents who argue. Your relationship affects your children. Try counseling, and if it doesn't work move on. Counseling doesn't really change people though, it just helps them better mask their true selves.

    I'm afraid!

I picked the sleeve because it was what I wanted. I have never had heart burn or acid reflux issues. While RNY is scary. I think you should consider it. The benefits of weight loss are so great. Insurance is a pain in the ass, and if later on your decide you want to go down this path you will have to start all over, or maybe your life will be different and it won't be covered. RNY has greatly improved over the years. You are only this young (not matter what your age) once. If you want, and have surgery later you will regret waiting and all the years you missed out being thinner and healthier. You have to make the choice for yourself, but you started down this path for a reason, you should cross the finish line.
