  1. I have lost all my weight from just walking 2-5 miles a day. I work out here and there, but not consistently (although that is about to change). If you are doing Aqua Zumba with a good instructor and really giving it your all, you will get hot as hell. Just because you are in the Water doesn't mean you won't sweat. There are all kinds of intense water exercises. Working out in the water is the hardest and you use all muscles because you have constant resistance because of the water, on forward and back motions. If you can find a place with it, AquaLogix is the best water workout you can get. https://www.aqualogixfitness.com/ Your Surgeon is an asshat. As long as you are moving for more than 30 minutes at a time, you will lose.

Weigh Your Food: It is accurate and will save you calories.

@@Babbs I have a cheap one from amazon, but it is the top seller, and it works great. http://amzn.com/B004164SRA I like it, for example I made a salad with afternoon. I put the bowl on reset to zero, added my greens, reset to zero. added my cheese. So I would weigh it all in one bowl. My dressing is zero calorie, so I didn't bother to weigh it. I use it multiple times a day and it is still functioning off the same batteries and I have had it almost a year.

Can a Icee stretch your pouch

If the icee was a soda one, the acid in it might have affected your stomach and that is why you feel hungry. Are you on a PPI?

    Salad

I get zero restriction on salad. I read Dr Matthew Weiner's book Pound of Cure, and I am trying to incorporate more veggies in my diet. I have 3 ounces of spinach with a Walden Farms dressing most afternoons as my snack. The only way I can get veggies in, is to eat them separate from my Protein, since once I eat my protein I have no room left for anything else. A salad makes the perfect snack for me. I wouldn't have been able to have an afternoon salad and meet my protein goals before the 6 month mark.

Week 3 and 4 food options

Tuna can be dry and hard process early on. Same with salmon and crab. A soft baked fish would be baked swai, cod, tilapia. You want to bake a white fish so it is soft and moist. I ate swai most of the time. It is affordable at Walmart. Below is a recipe for it. http://www.bariatricpal.com/topic/348954-baked-swai-fillet/

  7. I am not an old timer but the way surgery helps if you follow the plan is, you learn to eat again like a baby. It gives you a chance to start over and teach yourself to eat health. Learning to eat like this is easy after surgery. It is all, mapped out for you. When you haven't had solid food in weeks, a bite of baked fish tastes like heaven. Now baked fish is your new fav. This is totally a mental game. The hunger most people battle is head hunger. Once you heal you can eat almost anything, the fear and anxiety of eating something that will make you sick lessens. Yes hunger comes bsck but the level of hunger from a tiny tummy compared to a normal one is like comparing a kitten to a Lion. There are some other issues like a lot of people confuse acid or digestion in their intestines with hunger. If you eat 4-6 small meals a day it is basically impossible to be hungry. This is how eating Protein every time you eat and having a high protein goal helps. Why not just save your own money while working on you food issues instead of borrowing from your dad. That seems like hel, having to justify your life choices. I know someone who had bypass and is 3.5 years out from surgery. They have regained and can't get it off because they never learned to eat right and didn't follow their plan. They followed a fad diet plan and now they are lost and unable to make a change.

Carbs-How many do YOU eat each day?

Less than 12% of my calories for the day. I try to stay under 30 net carbs. It pretty easy and i have a big salad every afternoon as my snack.

    Protein, Protein, Protein

Some people have a lot of muscle mass and need a lot of Protein. Even at 110 per day, I am not eating the max recommend protein. Those of us that started at a much higher bmi, have more muscle mass and need more protein. I think there are so many "new" people on here straight trolling that I skip a lot of threads, they are getting really ridiculous

My Dr told me vitamin E. I only have one you can really see. I am using bio oil on my stomach now, but I used vitamin e and scar away strips for the first 3 months and they faded and flattened.

To Sleeve or not to sleeve.....

@ The difference for me has been, I am able to lose weight without stress. In the past diets stressed me out and I felt like I was missing out on things. Now I have a small stomach I can satisfy with very little food. I have the safety net of knowing if I eat something off plan, I can only eat a little bit. I also find that if I eat something off plan, it is a one time thing, not a binge and I go right back to eating how I normally eat (because I actually enjoy how I eat now). I low carbed and Keto'd before surgery but it was hard, I would consume too many calories and I felt deprived all the time. I don't have those feelings anymore. I can eat healthy and in the correct portions and it feels natural to me. I could never get to that point prior to surgery. Don't discount the hormone removal issue of the sleeve, I feel it is really the biggest part of it, more than the restriction. It makes a massive difference.
  16. I started with a BMI of 60. I had the Sleeve 10 months ago, and life is awesome now.

    Loneliness

@@Christinamo7 I totally agree. I made a post around 4-6 weeks about my Dr handing me off to his PA. I am still pissed about it but at the time I was totally irrational about it. Hormones are a bitch.
  18. Plastic surgeons do peels also, but a Derm is going to be more affordable than the plastic surgeons office, but you might call around to both. Edited to add. I use these peels http://www.makeupartistschoice.com/At-Home-Chemical-Peels_c_53.html I have done them to even out my skin and correct hyper pigmentation. If you have the cash, I suggest starting with a pro, but if you tolerate them well, and can follow directions, you might want to start doing TCAs at home. The people at Makeup Artist Choice are very knowledgeable and helpful. you can send them your pictures and they will make a recommendation. They might have something less dramatic than TCA for you to start with. Also this cream is a miracle worker. I put it up there with LaMer, except its better. http://www.makeupartistschoice.com/BellEvolve-Advanced-Repair-Cream_p_232.html Check out their customer submitted before and afters. A lot of them are acne, but when you get to mature skin, the results are always dramatic. http://makeupartistschoice.blogspot.com/
  19. @@VSGAnn2014 No, not microdermabrasion, that is a baby measure. You need to find a good Derm that does all the fancy skin stuff and has a trained esthetician on staff in the office. TCA Peels.. Those will get you dramatic results. They require downtime, you will want to avoid the sun and you can't wear makeup while your skin is peeling, and all your skin will peel. https://www.realself.com/tca-peel/before-and-after-photos You can google for more results. TCA Peels are a good place to start, you can see how much you improve with those, then if that doesn't help I would move to surgery. I am thinking your face isn't in bad shape, since you haven't talked about it before and TCA Peels, strong enough and done with the right professional should get you results. @@Christinamo7 My skin hates Philosophy, with a passion.

    Rumbly tummy and headache

Your intestines have to wake up from all the narcotics. When they are all out your system and your intestines can function normally it will stop. If you are on pain meds, it won't stop until you after you stop them.
  21. I would say first start with a good derm and chemical peels. A series of chemical peels will remove fine lines and plump your skin. Then go from there.

    Loneliness

I live and work alone, so I am alone most of the time. My solution was to get a dog. My rescue took away my loneliness and being a pet owner helped me meet people in my neighborhood. When we walk, we talk to everyone. Most social events involve food and alcohol. You might as well learn sooner rather than later how to be a skinny girl. Show up and drink water. Don't dodge life just because there is temptation.
  24. When you lose weight and have more room in your torso, your bladder will be able to hold more. I am shocked at how long I urinate for now. Sometimes in the morning I get almost bored waiting for it to end. Anyway it will probably be hard for you to get to 64 for a while anyway, and the Fluid in your food and Protein counts too. We get hydration from everything we eat and drink, even coffee.

    Breast size after surgery

I always had big breasts when I was young and at a normal weight. It runs in my family and most of my female family members have had reductions. I never gained in my breasts, just in band size really. I have lost a 120lb and gone from a DD to a G, my breasts are the same size, I never gained in my breasts. My back and side fat is almost all gone, I lost a lot of upper body weight (except my arms, sigh). I have a friend that recently had a reduction and was told if you really have a lot of breast tissue, it can continue to increase as you age. If you are up to an H, you will probably still have really large breasts.
