Do You Log Your Food?
jennolsen replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I'm four months out and I don't track at all. I keep a rough totally of fluids and protein but nothing more. Have tried tracking apps but it seems so tedious. I try to focus on getting in protein foods and fruits and veggies only. At this point I know that when I get off track 2-3 days of protein only will get me back in the swing. Luckily my sleeve dosent care for anything "carby" so it helps to keep me on task. I feel like it is so cumbersome to get accurate entries. -
Great thread! I I've that every day can bring a new win! Today I am at 161. The last time I saw that on the scale was high school! I usually let myself rest from exercise over the weekend, today I found my self missing it! Never thought that could happen to me! Looking forward to doing some fun physical activities outdoors as the weather warms up. So great to hear everyone's accomplishments. Great job all!

How far out are you? It does seem like a lot of carbs. I am only 3 months out, my surgeons plan has fruit and veggies ans the only carb for the first 6 months. What does your NUT recommend?

Back to basics for me. Focus on Protein and fluids. Upping my exercise program to 5 days (from 4) per week is my newest goal. I did slip over the holidays and am also doing some sugar detox. Fortunately I did not gain, I lost just very slowly. I am only 27 pounds from my goal weight and really want to make it there by April. Onward!

I'm 3.5 months out and have been experiencing the same thing over the last few weeks with many social engagements. I agree we can never be perfect and would not be here if we did not have issues with food. But I also am recommitting tomorrow. I know I need to focus on protein and exercise. Those are my goals for the week! Good luck to you.

Every thing does change after surgery. I loved pickles before and did often drink the juice as well. I have not been interested in them at all yet, I am 3.5 months out.
