Chest pain after eating...
jennolsen replied to boricua123's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had pain like you describe in the beginning as well, when I transitioned from clears to full liquids. My surgeon had me back off and go back to clears for a few more days then try again to progress. I had he same when moving to purees. Back off a little and progress real slow. Small bites, smaller than you ever imagined and eat/drink slowly. It is normal, and it will pass. Good luck! -
Yay! My hair is growing back!

I have taken Biotin all along and I still have hair fall. I hit 3 months and nothing, I thought maybe i was good. 3 months and 1 week and it happened! It is a little alarming. So far i don't think anyone but me notices, but i am super nervous about that. -

Get to goal weight (Hopefully by April) then maintain. Increase my activity, exercising at least 5 times each week. -

I know I have read that some people have difficulty with emotions post op, likely due to hormones that are stored in the fat we are getting rid of. I thought it was fairly early on? I am 11 weeks out today and I feel so emotional! I am not even premenstrual! I just feel like I could cry at any moment. It has been like this for about a week and I have no other real reason for it. Anyone experiencing anything like this post op and when? When did it pass? I do have a history of anxiety and depression, I am medicated and have felt well under control.

My first day wearing a size large shirt and pants
jennolsen replied to grandmaofone's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Congrats! I have just gotten into a large as well. It feels great to shop in the "normal" section. Many more choices and not having to look for the largest size is a kick! Now to control the shopping habit... -

I am doing great. Down 56.8 over all, 45 since surgery. I am exercising and feeling stronger every day. Not so sure what to do in times of stress yet but I'm working on that. Good to hear from you too.

Did you have to do a sleep study? Or did he review your memory card from your machine or anything? This has been happening to me, and it's really disrupting my sleep! I was up with such a dry mouth that j can't go back to sleep without Water. When I got my APAP, my sleep really improved, but now it's making it harder to sleep. I think part of the problem is that my mask is now too big for my smaller face, but I don't want to have to buy a new mask unless I know that my apnea is going to still be a problem for a while. I have spent a couple of nights without it on (I have been compliant with use for years), and my husband says I'm not snoring. I know that doesn't necessarily mean that my sleep apnea is gone, but it's a good sign! ~*~ Find me on YouTube: Trisha's Sleeve Story ~*~ Trisha I had a take home sleep monitor called an "apnea link" that along with my symptoms made the decision for him. I didn't have a mask fitting problem because I was using nasal pillows.
