it wasnt hard at all, i needed a referal from my doctor, i was told all i needed was a high BMI, and a co-morbidity which i had a bmi of 40 and sleep apnea , it took me 3 months from start to finish i was banded 6-26-08 , as far as the board they seem to say yes if your doctor and surgeon say you need it,good luck keep me posted, you can private message me if you want more info:thumbup: -
Im doin good, Ive lost almost 30 LBS,its going slow but they found that i have a low thyroid,so that is making the weight loss a bit slower than everyone else ,oh well thats life for you, wow! you have lost sooooo much weight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont see the problem, i was banded 3 months ago and have only lost 24 LBS, im happy with it though at least we arent gaining LOL

same here!! the next day I was crying and begging my mother to take me back to the hospital to take it out LOL ,every thing made me cry,now I think its the best thing in the world!!!!!!!!! give it about a week or 2 then you will be thrilled you did it! -

I ate a piece of steak last night i must have ate to quickly and didnt chew well I was in the worst pain for over 4 hours! i thought i was gonna die! this morning im still sore from throwing up , can anyone tell me if u have to be in mushies after something like that to let the stomach calm down? i thought i heard that somewhere, I put in a call to my surgeons office this morning but so far no call back, just wanna make sure its okay to go back to eating, man was that the worst 4 hours of my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ouch!!!

okay here;s my story I have never had a thyroid problem till now! my doctor said its sooo low and very unusual,she has started me on medication,she said this may be part of the reason why i am not losing very fast, i guess my question is there anyone here with a low thyroid? and isnt it weird that after all these years of being tested for thyroid problem, now it shows up? seems like the healthier i try to become the more ailments im getting LOL , i know none of you are doctors but any input would be great.

so low thyroid makes you skin and hair bad, Is this also why i am so moody and sleepy all the time????!!! they started me at 75 mg a day. Will the weight start coming off more once Ive been taking the meds for awhile? -
