Anyone out there having surgery in Mexico? Or has had??

I dont see any posts here where people have had Dr. Verboonen. .. its making me nervous! My surgery date is June 10th. I did not go through Bariatric Pal (didnt know about it until now, but another facilitaters. Im really getting nervous now!

rrgood01... I too had mine done last week at the Goodbye Center and would not recommend it. Its a small clinic and we paid more. Also, I was not impressed with the surgeons. Wish I had done more research than I actually THOUGHT I did. Reasearch, research, research! BTW... I have not had any problems as of yet.

Oh how I would love an egg!! I am 1 week out and cant have eggs for 2 more weeks. I am still on clear liguids and I am so hungry!! Great you are doing so good. Let us know how it goes today!

I am so living this right now! I am 5days post op and incrediby hungry! Though it is no fun, I am happy to know I am not the only one But it makes me very scared that I will not learn to eat right and I will be right back here in a few years.

Reading all these posts makes me worry that I didnt get such a great deal. I used a different facilitator and my package is not like everyone elses. Hmmm I feel kinda cheated. Wish I had known about this site beforehand. Live and learn I guess ???? The most important thing is Im getting it done!

Im on day 12 of my liquid diet! Its been TOUGH! Ready for Wednesday!

I too am having mine on the 10th and am on a roller coaster of emotions. But, for different reasons. Biggest being.... Im doing it in Mexico! I hate flying and I have 2 flights there and 2 home! I have been on a liquid diet for 10 days now and though i have not cheated, its one of the hardest things i done! One minute I am so ready for this, the next Im scared to death. Not really of the surgery but of failing at it. What if I dont lose enough or it all comes back?? I am a self pay and feel bad for spending this money and taking it away from my family's finances. Especially if I gain it back! I think you will be fine. Today is a new day. Try to stay on plan and do the best you can. Our day is coming! Its so close! We got this!

Hello All! My sleeve date is June 10th. I have been this pre op diet for 8 days now! 6 more to go! I am so hungry and miserable! Keep wondering if anyone else feels this way. I use to love cottage cheese and now I cant take another bite! I have not cheated at all! Well, unless you consider pickle juice cheating lol. It seems to help with the hunger, a little anyway. I even feel depressed because I know there is no end in site. I will have the surgery in 6 days and then back on to liquids for a while. Ugh... and... I NEVER thought I would even have a second thought about having this surgery, but these last few days... it has crept in to my thoughts... am I doing the right thing... sorry... I didnt mean to ramble on, just needed to vent... thanks for reading!

I have been on liquids for 8 days now! Sooo hungry! I hope this changes after the surgery!

1st time posting... all new to this. My sleeve is June 10th in Mexico!! I am 4 days in to my 2 week pre op diet. Mine is quite strict! Yogurt, cottage cheese, and shakes! Sf jello & popsicles, and broth... I have not cheated and will not but its taking everything Ive got! Trying to keep my eye on the prize!
