Las Vegas self pay?
pr_pitbullgrl replied to smoothazz's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
i am in vegas and did self pay. Dr Soong and Dr Atkinson are exceptional. I and two of my friends have used them and had amazing experiences and results. I was not impressed at all with Blossom - just my personal experience. I'm happy to give any details. -

Weight loss stall
pr_pitbullgrl replied to sanjumelts's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
it seems like it lasts forever! worst part of the process. i think mine lasted 2 weeks and it won't be the last stall but just keep doing all the right things and the weight will start moving again. i promise. it seems like it lasts forever! worst part of the process. i think mine lasted 2 weeks and it won't be the last stall but just keep doing all the right things and the weight will start moving again. i promise. -
@@KristenLe thanks Kristen! @Rose1up! I know right? it's so weird. most days i still feel 200+lbs! but this weekend. finally. i felt skinny and sexy and good lol. my Yady is 5 feet tall also lol. of course she's trying to gain weight and that, in and of itself, is a struggle and i support her in it the same as she supports me in mine! now in the meantime i ate all bad most of the weekend (here's mother's day dinner with my dad, grandma and bf) and didn't work out so now i'm 159 today LOL. time to get back to it! have a great week everyone!

So let me get this straight....I'm home....no sugar no carbs no caffeine hardly any alcohol work out five days a week....stuck at same weight for three weeks. Go out of town eat a bunch of shit all day for five times a day don't work out drink alcohol come back… Lost 3 pounds. WTF? How my supposed to keep making progress when my body is an asshole and makes no sense at all? Only thing I can deduce from this exercise is that maybe I wasn't eating enough before or I was gaining muscle before as well…#mybodyiscray #annoyed #53lbsdown #20togo

So weird news. I feel like I just got skinny overnight. Like literally I feel like this weekend I felt skinny and small and sexy for the first time during this journey. these were a size 9 junior jeans and they were corseted (so all the way up the waist) so i didn't think i was gonna be able to fit them but here they are. i'm in them. they aren't loose but i'm in them! lol. and yeah my fupa is still an issue (fatty upper pubic area/lower stomach) but still. it was good. so this was the weekend. I'm not sure why. But I'm grateful. And excited to keep going. I stood next to my gf who weighs 98lbs and I managed to look normal.

Finally on the other side.
pr_pitbullgrl replied to talkysfunny's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
awesome!! im definitely considering plastic or coolsculpting or something once i hit goal -
@@Babbs @@CowgirlJane it's not snarky at all. im sure i have much more to learn. the good and bad news for me is i don't eat right. i eat too fast and take too big a bite so i usually get sick before im done lol. i know this is bad but i rarely over eat due to this stupidity. i think it will always be a fight but one i'm hoping we can all manage to win. also i paid $12,000 for this and i don't mean to have that come out to be a waste lol.

haha. good for you. im not a runner either but i now run 2 miles like 5 times a week. not cuz i like it just cuz it keeps me losing weight and i want that more than i hate running. i felt like crap for a long time after surgery and when i stalled i thought to myself what the hell did i do now i don't enjoy eating AND im still fat. but now almost 75lbs down. i'm good with it lol do whatever you want! cuz you can and that's a winner mentality. @@Andrea72

i dunno man. im still bout 15lbs away from goal but i can't imagine EVER going back to my old ways. to me its just not possible. i can't eat what i used to eat at all and i'm super committed. even if i get lazy i think i'd ramp back up to stay where i'm at (or where i will be). but how can you regain when you can't eat?? i don't get that at all.
-
so it just occured to me we have some noobs on here and some that aren't even sleeved yet so VETS help me out here but here is my 7 month out experiences with the dos and don'ts - i'm not recommending you do it my way cuz i'm super lazy but this is my personal experience, carbonation - i don't do it often but i have and it hasn't killed me. i think i've had like two mimosas and three sips of coke since sleeved drinking during meals - i do it all the time but just small sips here and there carbs - it's very hard for me to eat carbs so i generally don't. i can eat the **** out of some saltines tho lol. potatoes sometimes. rice not much, noodles not much. bread not at all. hunger level - im still very un-hungry most of the time but i can eat more than i used to. i always eat Protein first. i can't eat all types of meat either so i stick to ground beef/bison/turkey, shrimp, sometimes steak. hardly ever chicken unless it's very tender - it gets stuck in my throat. throwing up - i've thrown up like 10x but it's usually cuz i do something dumb like eat too fast or too much or take shots of vodka on an empty stomach lol alcohol - all the time lol. mostly vodka shots cuz it's lower in sugar and it's not carbonated. counting stuff - i don't do it at all but i recommend you do - im sure my losses would have been better or more consistent if i did. i just try to do the right thing on the daily and see how it goes lol Water - i suck at drinking water BAD Vitamins, Fiber and stuff - i hardly take anything but i know i should/need to exercise - i work out 3 to 5 days a week including running 2 miles and lifting weights/toning skin stuff - i have some loose stuff here and there. mostly i've lost my ass completely. if i get to goal and tone for a year and still have it i'll do some sort of body sculpting surgery i think that's it. if i think of more i'll edit this VETS weigh in

@@KristenLe @@reinventingmyself LOL thanks ladies. apparently i'm very "dense" lol. I'm 159.6. Thinking if i try for 140 maybe i'll start looking slim in photos and loose my lower tummy. here's hoping!

When you tell your doctor you want to lose 20 more pounds and he looks at you and says no!! then he puts you on the scale and says "oh ok yeah" lol lol

Estimated post-op weight loss chart
pr_pitbullgrl replied to Talaria's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
it doesn't match up for me. i lost 72lbs and i had my surgery oct 2015 so about 7 months ago. My starting weight was 232. 229 on day of surgery. I'm 160 now. but i work out 3 to 5 days a week and i don't eat carbs or sugar or alcohol or caffeine for the most part and i've been doing that since about month 2 from surgery. -
@Rose1up! thanks! i like to have fun with it so imma do it. welp. i guess in a way this is the end of a first journey. i reached my goal weight today of 160. (im still gonna go to 140) but this is still the end of a goal. so here are the legit before/during and almost final after photos. it was HARD work but imma keep going. this is a lifestyle now. the surgery wasn't the fix all i thought it would be but it has stopped me from binge eating which was one of my problems. but it takes dedication and discipline to get this done. so im happy for the push it gave me. i wasn't about to waste the 12k i paid to get this done lol. so there it is. onward to the next goal.
-
You're right. We should be pleased with our progress. I honestly (at one point) thought I wouldn't get to 160 so I should b more grateful and appreciative. I might have surgery after. Not sure how things will tighten. You're doing great and look awesome. Here's tron. It's going to glow at night lol.
-
@Rose1up! thank you mama. i've decided i need to shoot for like 130. i think the people that "look skinny" in photos are like 115 but that ain't gonna happen for me. my body is being real funny right now and losing like 2lbs per week but it's ok. i'm teetering at 161 to get to my initial goal of 160. then imma start taking boot camp classes to get to the next level. when they say the last 20lbs are the hardest they ain't kidding! haha i love teal. had my tiffany blue car for a while i'm thinking of changing it to TRON this year tho just for fun
-
@@KristenLe thank you. i admit i feel a little obsessive about it. i just don't understand how different it looks in photos vs. in person work in progress like you said. hope you are doing great!
-
i still feel HUGE!!!! and it's annoying cuz in person i look good. like normal or even thin ish but in photos i look like a pig! it's super annoying.
-
@Rose1up! yeah the legs are the LAST thing to go down but they do. I've seen yours go down as well. I can't believe i'm trying for 140. but then i can't believe i'm at 160 either. so there's that. i admit i feel obsessive sometimes now. i wake up and do fasted cardio in the morning and weigh myself everyday and fret about loose thighs and tummy but i still feel fat/not small enough most days. it's really weird cuz we all know mental/emotional sides come with it and even if i'm rockin' a size 10 i still feel like a 16 lol. work in progress. we just need to stay on it and not quit! <3
-
@Rose1up! thank you mamita. here is my full before, during and current. i'll post again when i get to 140 might be a while lol. SW 232 During 180ish Current 160 @Rose1up!ps i love teal. it's literally the color of my car LOL. look:

When do you tell someone new you're dating you've had WLS?
pr_pitbullgrl replied to gpmed's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
this literally just happened to me. i was dating my guy and we were on about our fifth date...the waitress at olive garden says to me - have you had surgery or something - you barely ate! and i was like oh shit ummm...i told her that i had and she said she had been thinking about doing it too and that i looked great etc and that's how my boyfriend found out....im sure he always just thought i was watching what i ate but he kinda found out by accident. you'll find people don't have the same stigma about ex-fat people that we do about ourselves. but it is personal and it should be a matter-of-fact type of conversation not something you feel ashamed about because why should you? good luck and have fun!
