I actually had the same thing happen to me. My surgeon called it "slim" she e planned that is is the body's way of helping food pass down into the stomach. She told me occasionally it could cause pain and I would throw up the slim. I notice when something isn't going down too smoothly I get phlegm also, she said it was all normal. But to reassure yourself call your dr.

For our 10th wedding anniversary, my husband and I will be going to Ft. Lauderdale for a week. Does anyone have suggestions on how to enjoy myself eating out and how to stay on program as much as possible? I will be 3 months post-op and down 50lbs since my surgery. Looking for strategies and tips. Thanks for the support.

231... Totally thrilled with the weight I lost doing this challenge but won't reach my goal...overshot how much I would lose. Was too new. As long as the scale went down i'm happy!!

I was sleeved April 23rd down 50lbs..since surgery. I was a bit liberal with my eating this evening because I was finally able to eat without feeling sick. I didn't go nuts but had a bite of an onion ring and a bite of a mozzarella stick...only a bite. I do feel a bit guilty about it. I don't plan on making a habit of eating unhealthy foods! I rarely hit the calorie intake my surgeon would like me to and am religious about exercise. I also spent 3 hours planning and prepping healthy, protein filled lunches. Here's to good health!

Does anyone do a weekly meal prep? I would like to get in the habit of doing this while I am on summer break. Anyone have recipes or suggestions?

I am 9 weeks post-op and have only really begun to introduce more variety in my food choices. I would LOVE to see what a typical days menu looks like to you. Hoping for ideas!!! Thanks

I am 7 weeks post-op, have all of a sudden been doing well with tolerating foods, therefore have increased my variety. Still eating very little, but not losing...what's going on? Let me clarify, no loss this week.

I am 5 1/2 weeks post-op and according to my post-op diet plan I should be able to enjoy small meals including chicken, fruits and veggies. However, when I even try a small amount of ground meat I get violently ill. What am I doing wrong? Getting pretty bored with yogurt, cottage cheese and the occasional bowl of oatmeal. Suggestions?

I am 5 1/2 weeks post-op and according to my diet plan should be able to enjoy some small meals. This however, is not the case. I am stuck with yogurt, cottage cheese and the occasional small bowl of cereal. I get sick every time I have ground meat...I don't eat fast and am barely getting a bite in. What am I doing wrong? Suggestions?

Prescribed Diet: To Stick With Or Not To Stick With?
Yrkybarry replied to jm726's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am totally with you. I can barely eat anything prescribed on my diet and getting frustrated and worried this will never change. -
