    Nutrition question

Yes taking all the correct vitamins along with 62 ounces of water a day. I will change up the workouts and I've started the past couple of days having a protein shake in the am which is 30 grams of protein.

    Nutrition question

Ok agreed. I've never been a breakfast person, if I skipped lunch or dinner then I would replace with a shake. I usually will graze with the trail mix. So I'm at the conclusion I'm not getting enough in to loose the weight. My Protein target is 60 grams. so basically my day looks like this. AM I'll have 24 oz of Water, snack I will graze over trail mix, lunch I'll have chili, and dinner I'll eat a protein with a veggie sometimes without the veggie's. I'm a creature of habit so I like to eat the same thing over and over for a little while and then I will change it up.
  4. I've hit a plateau with my weight loss I've been at 142-144 for a little over a month now and cant seem to drop any more. I'm finally at a healthy weight, so I'm sure my body is saying hey I'm happy where I am. I exercise daily I take a 30 min lunch break walk, and then at night I work out to a dvd for about 25 min 6 days a week. Now my nutrition is as follows I have a cup of chili for lunch and Grilled chicken with green beans for dinner and as a snack I'll do trail mix. I drink water through out the day. I feel like If I add to my calories then I will not loose but gain or stay the same. My only thoughts is why I'm not loosing is due to my nutrition and nothing to do with my workouts. Any help or suggestions will greatly be appreciated. Oh and I want to at least loose another 10-15lbs
  5. I am so excited to say I am finaly at a normal BMI, Not overwight, Not obese but normal. IF you can only see if I'm jumping for joy. I'm 142 from a size 12 to a size 8 and I wear a small in everything. Its been an amazing journey. Still want to get down to 130 so a little more to go. Its a very tough process but I'm still learning

  6. I work and I drive to work an hour each way. I also have two toddlers. I either start at 6am and do a workout video until 630 or I will workout after the kids go to bed and that would be 830pm to 9pm then its a shower and off to bed my self. But I've got it now if I miss an am workout I know I have to do it at night. I only workout Monday - Friday the weekends are free.

I think you should go for it. My BMI was 30, My start weight was 180 same as yours and I'm 5'4.. I struggled with it for years and I could never get the scale down. I'm 5 months post and I'm officially down 30 lbs today. It takes a lot longer for us with low bmi's to loose the weight but Its the best thing. You will for sure have to prepare your self when they say its just a tool that is so true. You still wont all the foods you had before and you still have all your old habits. Its up to you to make those changes. Good Luck
  9. Its been 5 months. Doing good. Having a little trouble with the holidays. Down 27lbs. My Weight loss has definalty been on the slower side but I'm ok with that, I did not have that much to loose to begin with. I've bought me a Fit Bit HR so excitecd about this; it definalty motivates me to get moving..

  10. I'm down 25 lbs since surgery, Tomorrow will be 4 mths out had the sleeve. I'm pretty happy with my progress; I feel at times it is a little slow. I've hit two stalls so far and I do a lot of Cardio 5 days a week with some weights here and there. I see other peoples progress that has the same bmi as me and they are loosing much faster. I'm 155 so 10 more lbs I'll be officially at a normal weight, I cant wait for this to happen, back in my mind I feel that I wont get there or I might get there in another 6 mths. Maybe I'm being a little hard on my self but at times it is very hard not to be.
  11. Yes you defiantly need your Protein, I'm on and off with my Vitamins, I finally ordered my vitamins from PatchMD.com so the only other thing I need is my B12, so I just put on a patch on each arm where it for 12 hrs and I'm good to go. I was feeling very week after surgery and as soon as I started getting that protein in at the recommended goal I felt so much better and was able to go back to work and do normal activated again. Research foods that have protein, there are plenty.
  12. My first weight loss stall was at 3 weeks, Now I'm at 3 months and seem to be in a stall for 2 weeks now going on 3. I started cardio and weights about 3 weeks ago and I seem to think its muscle gain and I'm still loosing inches. But I just want the scale to move. I was wanting to see if there was a Norm for Weight loss stalls or when do you hit them through out the first year after the sleeve? Thanks for your help
  13. I was sleeved July 2 2015 at 180 5'4 height, Current 158 September. Very pleased with my slow weight loss. My goal is 130 before my 1 year mark. I get in all my protein but not the fluid recommendations, I also walk 30 min a day

There's no such thing as 'normal'. Everyone loses at their own pace. Don't compare to others. If you are following your doctor's protocol, you will be fine.
