Hi Everyone, Just wanted to stop in say I hope everyone had a great Valentines Day. I tried to sign on earlier but the site was not working. I’m off to Atlanta tomorrow and I still have to pack, Iron, etc. I have to leave at 5:30 in the morning and that will be painful to get up for! I’ll be back Thursday and will check in then. Congratulations Sherry!

And the final total is……29.6” of snow – the biggest on record!! Yup – I still have work tomorrow. I’ll be getting out my snowshoes since my dog sled is broken. Good luck Sherry and update us all as soon as you feel up to it. Welcome Michele. What part of NY are you from? Beanie – how are you? Are you still at IKEA?!:biggrin1: Okay … I'm off to bed since my prayers for a snow day tomorrow did not come true….

WOOOHOOOO!!! 23" of snow in Central Park and its still coming down!! They say its the second biggest blizzard to hit the city since the 1947 and we might beat that record yet! This could not have happened during the week so I can get a free snow day and not go to work?? Snow ball fight anyone? Sherry - good luck tomorrow! I'm heading out in the snow for a bit, I won't get very far but I love the city in the snow. It is soooo quiet the only thing you see are kids with sleighs heading to the park. No cars!! I'll be back in a bit since I will be stuck in the house the rest of the day.

Happy Blizzard Day here in NY/NJ! Eileen – thanks for asking about Mom, she is much better. Hmmm you might have something there about the split personalities. Oh well we won’t let them get us down. I thought about going to grocery store but your right the lines will be crazy I’ll make do with what I have. I have my Netflix movies, coffee and dinner so I’m good! Besides I’m an Olympic fanatic so I get to watch it all this weekend! Will you be taking DD sleigh riding? Cindy – I meant to also say he had a right to put state his opinion and not get attacked for it because I don’t believe it was meant to be mean, but not everyone would realize that. Oh well…. That’s why I stay mostly on our NJ thread! So…. I think I burned the candles at both ends… I’m sick as a dog with a major cold and swollen glands. I had to cancel the weekend with my nieces since I can’t risk getting them sick. I also cancelled attending my training conference. But I’m still going to Atlanta for my presentation on Wednesday. I’m counting on being better by then because I will need the warm weather after the snow this weekend. Help - Does anyone know what type of cold medicine is okay to take? My doctor did not return my phone call (pissed me off!) and now I’m afraid I’m taking the wrong stuff. Beanie – step away from the IKEA!!! I love the place too but geez… did you not just have surgery? Milk it for everything its worth and rest up, lay on the couch and have DH treat you like the Queen you are! Patty – did you get the new hair cut? How are the boys? Anne – I saw the Dr Phil show (love my DVR!). I though both the mothers on that show were did not take any responsibility at all. Very sad. Dianne - relax, the band will go back in! You have been so positive throughout this I think that is amazing. I think I would have gone nuts! Thanks for the Clifford analogy, now when I read to my nieces I’ll have that in my head! Sherry – the countdown is almost over to your big day! Very exciting! Any great plans this weekend? Sorry about the bigmouths not keeping it to themselves. So I’m tucking in and getting ready for the snow! What does everyone have planned for the weekend?

Cindy – you must be reading my mind! I was thinking the same thing about all the negative posts recently, there have been quite a few. I read the PDA thread (I couldn’t find it again tonight??). I think that some people got upset because personal beliefs were also posted that were critical of an alternate lifestyle. And as soon as someone has been offended look out the posts fly at each other! Two specific posts in the beginning of thread come to mind for me. I understood that the threads main point was how PDA can be obnoxious and I think the thread would have been fine if it was left at that. But I did not feel it was appropriate (my opinion only) to add the comment that it was wrong to be gay (I forget the exact quote but that is how I read it). As soon as I read that comment I knew it was going to get some angry responses. And what for? Was it necessary to make that comment knowing that it might offend people? I know that everyone is entitled to their opinion and I love and respect that right. But I also think that as adults we need to be careful with what we say in a public forum. It’s a fine line and I don’t know if it’s a good thing that we need to watch what we say but I think its reality. People are sensitive and can misinterpret things easily so when in doubt don’t say it or if you do be prepared for backlash, justified or not. That’s just my opinion and I hope I did offend anyone. But these negative posts and squabbles are bringing me down!

Hi Everyone, I’ve been reading but have not had time to post much lately. Work is crazy for me I’m in the middle of reviews for my staff which I hate doing. It’s so easy to find the good things to say but the tough conversations are not much fun! Plus we have this 25 page document that we need to fill out for each person… it takes me hours for one person! I leave Sunday night for a leadership conference for 2 days and then fly to Atlanta on Wednesday for a conference that I have to give a presentation at. Do you think I’ve even started the presentation? Of course not! I’ve been trying to get to the gym but its tough and to top it all off I think I’m getting a cold….. Okay now that I whined a bit and got that off my chest!...... Beanie – I remember the drug induced 18 hour sleep fest! Ahhhh the memories! You are so right about the food bills. Since I’ve been banded I cannot believe how much money I’ve been saving. Another bonus of the band! Eileen – So glad the fill worked! Take it easy the next few days. How much did they fill? Glad that the crunch thing worked… Pat – Congratulations on the new car! I say you just keep trading in every few months! Patty – now I’m curious about your weird day at work! I have days when I’m in a silly mood at work too. Like today where I found myself rambling in my boss’s office, finally he just looked at me and said “go get some coffee you are making no sense” Good thing we get along really well! Betty – I hope you hear back soon from your interview. Keep writing those letters! Anne – Yup Eileen is the Mom here! I’m almost afraid to ask what roles the rest of us are! Cindy – or should I say Lead Foot Cindy?! How is everything with you? Hope everyone else is doing well…. I’m off to catch up on my tv shows! Have a good night!

Hi Everyone! Beanie - Sending good thoughts you way for your big day tomorrow! As soon as you are up to it let us know how you are doing (and how good the drugs are!). Eileen - Agh! I'm sorry you had a bad fill (or lack of) experience. My dr has be lay on my back and then lift my legs (like abdominal crunches) my port practically pops out of my skin and makes it easy to find - maybe that will help you? Okay - I'm exhausted after spending the weekend with my nieces. They just love to wake me up really early in the morning to play. Being single with no kids I' used to sleeping late on weekends so a 6:30 wake up call is pretty painful even if its 2 angels doing it! Hope everyone has a good night and enjoys the rest of the Super Bowl.

As usual I'm running late and have not had time to catch up on all the posts. I wanted to quickly wish everyone a good weekend! I'm going down the Jersey shore to see my nieces for the weekend and will be back Sunday night. Beanie - oooohhhh it's getting to be that time!!!

    so whos working out?

I just started a water aerobics class which I love. The class busted my myth of water aerobics - it really is a tough workout!! I go 3-4 days a week for 45 minutes a class. My gym just started offering real Pilates (machines not mat) so I'm going to check that out too but it's during the day so I'm not sure I will always be able to leave the office and make the class in time.
