One thing you do to set up your day in a positive way?
chrisredjeep replied to _Kate_'s topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Well here we are the fabulous threesome. How many stones have we lost between us! Must be in the 20 s . Watch out for that Halloween rubbish. I had a Haribo thing last night to shut up my friends grandchild and I lost a filling! Still running in the mornings god it was dark on Friday so I'm glad the clocks have changed. We must all meet up ! -

Husband & Wife sleeved on same day.
chrisredjeep replied to jvleeuw's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
That's great husband and wife going along on the journey together. I expect there is some friendly rivalry there! Good luck to both couples and well done so far -
I'm in UK and I was offered coffee 2 days after op whilst still in the hospital. I did not drink more than one cup a day when I came home, and I drink maybe 4 cups a day now, no sugar or cream for me just a dash of milk. It's right that your tastes change. I used to really enjoy a glass of wine but now I'm totally not bothered, much to my partners pleasure as I m always designated driver now!

I think that I will always be seeing the big person in the mirror. However when I look at the size of the clothes I am wearing it does hit home that I have lost a significant amount of weight. Well done on your weight loss

The mighty scale
chrisredjeep replied to highfunctioningfatman's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Good for you! I feel like doing that this morning. I weigh every day ( yes I know) and I've just been on the scales this morning and after a week of family staying and getting off track well there is a gain. Sure it will be gone by the middle of next week but it just sets my mood for the day which is not happy. Think ill join you in disposing of the flipping things! Good luck to us both -
Hey Jamie logical Good luck with your forthcoming marathon I'm still running all thanks to you
-
Well done! I feel just the same

Nervous -- How about some stories on how much better you feel?
chrisredjeep replied to sc101071's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
So many things are better since I had my operation. So wish I could have done this years ago. I can run, walk for hours and it's so wonderful to walk into any clothes shop and know that they stock my size and not have snooty sales persons looking at me as if to say no way to sell anything that's going to fit you. Those days are far behind me, I feel confident happy and at peace with my body at last. -

Good luck for Tuesday you will do really well. Keep walking and sipping girl ! -
Well it's a whole year since I got in the jeep with my heart down to my boots to go to the hospital for surgery. Oh I was so afraid, I wanted to turn back and not go through with it. Entering the hospital I just let it all go and I thought well you are here now best let them get on with it. I remember walking down the corridor and saying goodbye to my other half, then climbing onto the trolley and that was it. I woke up in the recovery ward all done and that was the start of my new life. I was so lucky I had no pain or sickness and all went well. Coming home was fantastic, I had only been away for 2 nights, but it felt like years. I've lost 99 pounds and have gone from UK dress size 22 down to a 10 or 12 depending on the shop or the cut of the garment. I am active ( thanks to Jamie logical who inspired me to start running) and most of all I am happy. I feel completely different to how I felt before my op I am optimistic now whereas before I was irritable and miserable and not always nice to be around. I am so grateful for my sleeve and thankful I was able to pay for my op as here in UK it's not often done on NHS. I still have not met another person in real life who has had this op ! I have made friends through the forum ( hi Soodoo) and I have really enjoyed posts from so many people. It's like the oscars here in my house right now where the persons starts crying and then thanks everyone from A to Z! Well to everyone who has ever read my posts and to all the guys and gals out there who's posts I have read, I say thanks for all of it. If you are reading this and thinking about having the sleeve or other WLS just do it, I'm so glad I did, just wish it had been an option years ago Happy anniversary to me and any others for 16 July ! That's all folks

Hi there I would go back to measuring food and tracking it with my fitness pal. Do you have a fit bit or any other step measurer? It does not matter how slow you are losing as long as you are losing. Good luck -
Great post , I'm in the corner sniggering too !
