Emotionally abusive relationship not fixed by weight loss
chrisredjeep replied to provenzee's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm right with the other posters. Get rid of this waste of space he is not worthy of you. -
So sad for you. I'm writing this with my wonderful springer spaniel Zinny by my side. He is my constant companion and I will be devasted when he goes. Thinking of you at this time and I know you will be remembering the happy times you had together. Let her go over the rainbow bridge knowing you loved her. Thinking of you .

You are welcome Mr Pirate ! I still have a read of the boards most days and I do see silly things being posted. It's hard to keep telling people don't do this as some people just won't listen. I did not get much help from my surgeon although he was a lovely man, no nut here and VSG still quite unusual in UK . So Bariatric Pal was a real find, and I hope other newbies will do as I did, read up take the advice offered and if it doubt or disagreement say nowt. ( this is a Yorkshire word meaning say nothing) All the best to you

Babbs Lipstick Lady ok pirate jenn Kindle and so many more, you all helped me so much this time last year , everyone was so friendly and happy to help . I'm in UK so not many sleevers here, so the knowledge I gained from this forum was wonderful. I can understand exactly where you are coming from Kindle and I will miss your comments. Think when I am one year out I will be able to join the vet forum, only a week to go. Thanks to all of you who made me feel welcome and made me feel I was not going it alone.

First big milestone with Pictures!
chrisredjeep replied to kmorri's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Looking good there ! -
Do it. Having the op was the best thing I have ever done in my life. I wish I could have done it years ago. Losing this weight has made me feel free. I am active and can run after my grand daughter, run with my dog and best of all get in and out of my Z4 2 seater car without needing a hoist to haul me out!!

Surgery in 24 hours - super nervous and questions too!
chrisredjeep replied to missblonde20's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had my gastric sleeve op almost a year ago. I can remember feeling so scared and apprehension and the dread of arriving at the hospital. All went well for me and I am sure it will for you too. Sorry I can't help any further re soft tissue etc. wishing you a speedy recovery and let us know how you get on -
Hey Jamie that's fantastic not sure if I'm up to a half marathon yet! Go play the most important thing is that you have made a start. It looks a fine place to be running!
-
Give it a good go. I started the C25k after reading about Jamie logical and I have to say she inspired me. I completed the course and now I run 5 days out of 7 and I even ran whilst on holiday in Cyprus. I never ever thought I would enjoy running but I do !

Think I will give this a try

Ha you sound like me if I go and use up odd bits out of the fridge. I never ever mix beans and cauliflower after a particularly stinky episode.! -

Weight loss milestones/how to celebrate?
chrisredjeep replied to doyouhear's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I would go with jewellery as well. I've only got a little bit to go to reach the magic 100 so I think I will start looking ! Well done on your loss Proud Grammy love the idea of that tattoo, but I would be far too nervous to face the needle! The worst part for me of having this surgery was having to inject the blood thinners into my stomachs for a couple of weeks when I got home. I made my husband do it! -
Fabulous NSV....whats yours ?
chrisredjeep replied to Nurse_Lenora's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Well done on your weight loss. This time last year I was wearing UK size 20 jeans and now I am parading in a pair of size 12 UK jeans. It's true nothing tastes as good as being slim feels. My brother my fiercest critic says I look normal now, and that's all I ever wanted to look was normal. Well done to all of us who took the step of having weight loss surgery, it's the best thing I ever did and the best use of my money ever ( I was self pay in UK) Enjoy your holiday weekend USA! -
New Teeth to Match the New Plastic Rest of Me
chrisredjeep replied to AvaFern's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I can't help you out with the teeth girl but I admire you immensely for having all the work done on your good self. Well done for putting yourself first. Also I love that line " lipstick on a pig" and I shall do my best to use it during conversation today! -

How severe was your hair loss?
chrisredjeep replied to AchieveGoals's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi I had my op July 16th 2015 and I noticed my hair loss around December January was at its worst. Here we are now in July 2016 and my hair is back to normal. I tool biotin 10000 tablets daily also multivitamin tablet and used a biotin shampoo and conditioner. I was worried when I saw the hairless but I knew that my hair would grow back. My style is fairly short anyway so it did not look too bad. I would mark it at a 6 on the scale. Good luck for your forthcoming surgery ! -
Skin skin skin....
chrisredjeep replied to treblecutie23's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Valentine and Julie I think that's great that you had or are having skin surgery. I'm in UK and skin surgery here would cost a bomb which is probably another reason I won't go down that road. Having been self pay for my sleeve op the coffers are a bit empty at the moment ! -
Skin skin skin....
chrisredjeep replied to treblecutie23's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
If I was younger I would definitely have skin removal surgery. Being as I am not in the first flush of youth I'm not going to have it. But best of luck to you and I'm sure you will look fab after it too. -
Sleeved Tomorrow!
chrisredjeep replied to rebecca wills's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Good luck to you both let us know how you get on -
I can imagine the look on the sprayers face if she had to spray me ! More wrinkles than a Shar Pei dog that's me ! I think if I had it done I would have to wear the swimming costume and let them spray arms leg back etc but not the Great White Belly! Good luck anyway
