    Gas?

Hello, I was banded on 1/14/08. I had read all about the horrible gas pain so I was prepared. However, I kept waiting for it to happen and thank goodness it never did. Not even once! So I guess every person is different. Good Luck!

    Gulping water

Thanks for the question and response. I was wondering the same thing. I kept reading about sipping slowly and I have been, but a couple of times when I was really thirsty I took regular drinks and was fine, so then I thought, what if something is wrong:ohmy:...glad to know I'm okay:biggrin:
  3. The back of my throat feels a little funny also, almost like there is something stuck and I am on liquids only so the only thing I can think of is maybe the breathing tube scraped something and it is healing? I had surgery last Monday and it just started today.

    Home, and better

I am glad you are feeling okay. I was banded on Monday, and did my first venture out to the store today (I didn't drive) It seemed to go okay. I am getting better day by day. Did you or anyone notice that there is a little pressure on there chest which sometimes feels like shortness of breath? Anyway good luck, each day does get better!

    Banded yesterday

Hello, I was also banded yesterday at 7:15 am. It went pretty well. The only pain I have is in my stomach...just feels like sore muscles (thank god for the heating pad). So the hardest thing is getting out of the recliner, other than that I feel pretty good so far. I am not hungry, and I am able to fluids normal with no problems. Good Luck to you and all the other January Bandsters:biggrin:
  6. I am going to banded on Monday at 7am:biggrin: I have a question that I forgot to clarify with my Dr. On Sunday, I am on clear liquids only, now I know that consists of sf jello, broth, sf popcicles etc. but what about protein? I have the syntax nectar protein drink, is that considered a clear liquid? Thanks for your help!

New and looking for a buddy!

Hey Lori, I too am being banded on Monday the 14th, and I know what you mean by being nervous. Saturday night I woke up at 4:30 and could not go back to sleep. My surgery is at 7am so that is good, I won't have a lot of time to think about it. Good Luck tomorrow, let us know how it goes!

    Pre-Op Clear Liquid question

Thanks for your ideas.... I got a bottle of Grape Frost Isopure and will have that today and then post-op I have to do 2 weeks of clear liquids and will drink the Syntax Nectar then.

    Hi from TX!

Hey cklapbandster, I met with Dr. Ganta on the 28th of December and I am scheduled for surgery on the 14th! I am starting to get a little nervous but I am excited!:whoo: I am on the pre-op diet of High Protein/Low fat/Low carb....it is not too bad! Anyway good luck with the insurance, my insurance did not cover it, so I will be self-pay, I feel it will be my best investment yet.
