Surgery went well had alot of pain under my breasts but that has stopped hurting. I'm now on the losers bench. Sw186 starting wait 240

Today is the big day about to head back now.

I am on the liquid diet now two more days then surgery.

Iv lost 5 pounds since starting this liquid diet also went from 190 to 185 figure I might lose another couple pound before Monday and I'm happy about that. As my goal would be to be at 180-183 on Monday

Liquid diet this sucks so still had to make everyone dinner and of course they needed dessert. Iv done good though with my water and crystal light one more day of this and then will be in the hospital at 6am Monday. I just can't wait.

I'm also from Chicago but I am getting the sleeve. Didn't realize this was a gastric bypass topic till after I posted. Good luck on your journey. I'm getting the sleeve also I was going to do the RNY but my surgeon talked me out of it. It's for everyone not just RNY. I'm the one that started the post so I could connect to more people having surgery around the same time as me. My date is Oct 5th so this coming up monday.

Your close to me on your surgery date mine is the 5th and just got clearance from Anesthesiologists probably now is my insurance is not paying for the patch I have to wear the night before for nausea and they are $90 I'm hoping the can call and get them approved so insurance will pay Oh and a switched surgerys I was having the RNY but now since talking to surgeon I'm having the sleeve

Well my surgery changed to the sleeve my surgeon told me he did not recommend the RNY and that he feels the sleeve would be better for me

I'm Oct 5th also I have Facebook lesstolove Jenae and youtube channel lesstoloveawholenewnaenae think you find it by just typing in lesstolove I think I have watched over 100 hrs of youtube videos of others journey iv been on my journey since March I was about 220-230 in Nov of 2014 and I'm only 5 feet short and I was at my highest weight that I actually weighed in might have been more but in my life I have had times that I didn't even want to see a scale it was like the devil lol now I weigh my self too much lol I got down to 183lbs at my last visit to the surgeon right now I am between 183-188lbs keep going up and down. I am not scared at all just alot of things I was not really thinking about are now on my mind and I'm just asking my self have I prepared enough is my mind ready I feel like I'm so ready but my nerves are getting to me as time goes on and I don't tell my fiance because he really would rather me go in for surgery he is supportive but it's major surgery so he just worries. So of course I don't want to tell him my fears or worries lol.. I'm just excited for the future

I know the feeling. I think we all go threw that Iv been on a strict protien shake and one small meal a day for 6 months and at my last appt they told me to not lose anymore and we'll iv been eating all the foods I won't be eating again or at least for a very long time. I'm getting back on track because I know I need my mind doing in the right place. I know this is just the beginning and now before sugery is the easy part the hard part is after surgery. Using this tool to help me keep my weight off and lose more. It's so close seems like iv been waiting for ever and now it's actually hitting me and the nervous are kicking in lol.

Thanks I have not been tracking my food like I had done before so I think that's what I'm going to have to do to get back to where I was. Thanks I'll put in place everything else also some I already do but need to be more mindful of it I guess.

So my surgery is Oct 5th my pre op class is the 23rd and iv been struggling last time I went to see the surgeon they told me don't lose anymore weight and we'll I have not iv been having many food funerals and have managed to gain gain 7 pounds I was at 183lbs and that's why they told me to stay at my weight and not to lose anymore before surgery but I feel I have been letting my head get in the way my head keeps telling me you won't be able to eat this soon so eat it now lol I keep telling my self it's okay because I did so well before but I think I hit that place when you are on such a strick diet and then give your self a break and you fall of the wagon. Any advice? ?

I'm less then a month away from surgery Oct 5th

So I just enrolled into school and I start the 14th Monday-Thursday and my surgery is Oct 5th how long will it be out or will I be able to attend my classes once I am released from the hospital? My classes are 2 hours a day. One is Monday and Weds 1-245 the other 9am-1045am. What should I tell my teachers.
