Awesome! So happy you can mix it up a bit. Oikos Greek strawberry is the best! (In my opinion lol) Just make sure you don't get yogurts that have fruit on the bottom and if you accidentally get one that has chunks of fruit or little bits of fruit in it, be sure not to eat them because it can be hard to digest.
I had my own little victory yesterday. I decided to be rebellious and use a straw! Lol. My doc said no straws but I had to try something because I can't get my Water in no matter how hard I try. I got a medium water at sonic (with their awesome ice) and managed to finish the whole thing in 3 hours. Before I was unable to drink 8oz in a 6 hour period. I had no extra gas issues or problems so I think I'm good to go with a straw.

One week out today and I feel like I turned a corner! Still going to take it easy--I'm not shooting for 10,000 steps yet--but I definitely feel better! HW 200, SW 198.6, today 190!

I'm 7 days out and other than just a little soreness from my big incision area, I'm great. I had actually forgot about the sleeve twice yesterday when I tried to chug water.. your will recover exponentially over the first week.. it's unreal. The body is amazing at healing, I feel guilty for what I have put mine through for so long. Plus the weight is peeling off.. steadily. ...

It's very encouraging to read your posts. I had surgery yesterday and have so much pain when I drink. Both the bubble effect and the sharp feeling and cramp sensation. It looks like you guys felt back to normal on the fourth or so day. I can't wait!

My mom is 5 weeks post op and feels completely normal (but with smaller portions of course) and she just keeps telling me "a few more weeks and you'll be there- just push through!"
It also helps that is about 7 weeks I'll be on a cruise - so only eating Soups will help me looks good for the cruise too ????

I had my sleeve done yesterday. I've been very sleepy from the anesthesia and in some pain, but it's manageable. Toughest is drinking. I get a cramping sensation and I can feel the air moving around.
I just did three laps in the corridors to get the gas moving.

My surgery was supposed to be on the 7th, but my surgeon had a cancellation so I got moved up to June 30th which makes me 6 days post op now.
    Here are my tips:
    - start everything slow. I got ice chips first and I would just suck on them and let the Water drip down my throat. Then I was allowed Water and I think I took smaller sips then what the ice chips provided me. I've just now gotten up to (almost) regular drinks. I consider them mini drinks - in between a sip and a full drink
    - walking helps gas pain so much: whenever I would get up to get me something I'd walk to the front of the house, then the back of the house and then to the object I needed. I would walk around the living and kitchen while slowly taking my liquid pain medicine. Just get steps in to get the gas out
    - follow your surgeons food plan: now there are times when I'm like "I just want some grilled chicken!" And think that I could handle that and I have to stop and remember that not only do I have a tiny tummy now, it is still super fragile. So I go get me some Soup
    - even if you aren't hungry EAT: (which is super weird for most of us to hear) but you will feel so much better if you get some calories in you! It's seriously like night and day energy wise
And to give you hope for those who haven't had surgery before like me- I'm 6 days post op and am feeling pretty normal. Just a little pain when I move a certain way and I still can't sleep on my side yet but I have a feeling I will be able to shortly.
Prayers for all your upcoming surgeries! And I know you'll do great!!

I am starting to get really nervous friends. I can call the hospital tomorrow at 1:30 to find out what time my surgery will be on Tuesday. I'm scared About the actual surgery (I've never been under anesthesia before) but am excited about the afterwards. I would appreciate prayers from you all. Anyone else feeling nervous?

It's okay - don't feel bad. Every surgeon has a different plan just I just have to go with the flow and trust my surgeons plan. I do get to have Tomato Soup which is my absolute favorite - so as of now I'm a happier camper.
My scale and my surgeons scale are very different - so I'm waiting to see the official scale tomorrow. But my mom and sister keep going on about they swear I've already lost inches - even though I feel so bloated I'm not going to fight them on that hahaha

I'm feeling great now that MoM did its job! I can drink a 12 oz G2 in 20 minutes as long as I don't gulp. I've gotten 8 oz Protein Shakes down in about 30 minutes. For three days now I'm getting in my fluids and Protein and I don't ever feel overly full. I'm almost feeling like the sleeve isn't working because it's been too easy to drink (I'm on full liquids for three weeks)! I felt crappy yesterday, but it was mostly due to not crapping (sorry)! If it's going badly I worry and if it's going good I worry. Wish I could just relax and let the process do its thing!
