Anything you need, just let me know! I had mine in may and my life is so awesome now!
-
Dr Curry is great. They make the process super easy.

I'm glad to hear it! The pain wasn't bad at all for me either. I'm fully healed and able to eat whatever I want by this point. I like salad and crackers since they don't seem to sneak up on you and make you uncomfortable after eating. I don't really like anything with bread anymore since it makes me feel like I'm going to explode.

Awesome! How are you feeling?

The food wasn't great. I recommend getting the rice based snack bars because the other ones taste like clay. You'll be super hungry but just remember it's only temporary. I are lots of mashed potatoes (the medifast kind) and when I couldn't take it anymore, I ate a piece of grilled chicken. I lost 14 lbs which they seemed happy with. I encourage you to have a last meal and pig out before you start because those days will be completely gone. It's worth it though!

I had surgery on may 11th. I'm down 81lbs and I feel awesome! Did you ever think it was possible to get sick of people telling you how good you look? That's what will happen to you

Awesome!! Their staff is AMAZING! I was out of there in four hours when I got my surgery.
-
Hi Molly! Best of luck to you! I had my surgery at Dr. Trace Curry's office, journey light

I don't know about anyone else but the post op diet was the worst lol but you'll get through it
-
Hi Sara!! I felt the same way! It's the best decision I've ever made though! You'll do great!

I'm having the same issues. I really don't want to work out. I take walks all the time, but anything beyond that hasn't happened. Great job with your weight loss ladies!!!!

I'm doing great! Lost 70 lbs so far. Only side effect has been acid reflux. How about you??

Hi Jamie! I was sleeved on May 11th as well. I had my one month post op appointment today and have lost 31 pounds! I related to your video more than you know. I really appreciate you having the courage to put it all out there. You're a beautiful woman, keep up the good work!

I'm feeling the same way. When I first started the journey I was like this is gonna take forever. Now I second guess myself and ask if this is really what I wanna do. I know it's nerves.I talk to my bestie today and she calmed me and set me straight. She reminded me that I've lost 30 lbs before, the problem I s that that is precisely where I get stuck! Then I get frustrated and end up creeping back up. This is what I need and I know it. you will be fine. The nervousness is completely normal! I wasn't nervous until after my surgery, I felt like I made a huge mistake. It's now been about three weeks and I'm down over 20 pounds. It's tough to be on puree for three weeks but it's worth it. Best of luck!

Hi Amy! I was sleeved on may 11th and am still in the puree stage. How are you doing now? I can't wait to eat real food, I feel like a baby with a diaper bag going to work every day ????

. I got sleeved on may 11th. I originally kept it a secret and filed my FMLA paperwork with someone that I trusted. Now that I've had the surgery, I've had to tell people. My work is constantly having food days where everyone usually participates. In order to still be a team player, I had to tell them. The support has been great! Do what's best for you and good luck!!

To those whom have had their gallbladders removed...
Angie85 posted a topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hello Everyone! My name is Angie and I was sleeved on May 11th, 2015. I was released within four hours of surgery and everything went according to plan. I haven't seen it mentioned in reading through the posts thus far so I thought I would appeal to those whom have had their gallbladders removed. Mine was removed about three years ago and I experienced a bile leak, which is the most rare but most serious complication affiliated with the sleeve surgery. PLEASE follow your doctor's instructions, the pain of a bile leak is inexplicable and I hope to never experience it again. With that said, a stent was placed in my liver and I healed up nicely from the gallbladder surgery, however, I have always had issues with bile as it relates to bowel movements. Once I got the sleeve surgery, I spent three days vomiting bile and blood which I believe was my body's way of getting used to the new way of things. I have not gotten sick since that third day and I feel great! I am down 20 pounds in 15 days which is nothing short of a miracle where I'm concerned. I went through the doubting phase shortly after my surgery, but am now convinced that I made the right decision. Best of luck to all of you on your weight loss journey! -

Yes, sorry for the confusion. My bile leak was after my gallbladder surgery. I haven't had many issues with the sleeve except for the bile issue. It sounds like you were dealing with what I've been dealing with. Thank you so much for the information!! Is the powder prescription or can I get it somewhere?
