I'm 6 days away from surgery & scared as heck!

You will be fine on the day. I am nearly a year out and my only regret is that I didn't do this years ago. Follow the advice given by your surgeon and your nut, try to get moving as soon as possible after surgery. Take life at a gentler pace for some time after surgery, accept all offers of help! Most importantly, look forward to getting a whole new lease of life post surgery, you have so much to look forward to, trust me on this. Best of luck -

You have been through major surgery so, of course, you are going to be drained physically and emotionally. Be gentle with yourself, give yourself time, this phase of your recovery will pass very quickly and you will soon see (and feel) the benefits of the decision you made (to have surgery). Hope your Mom comes to stay soon and treats you to some TLC.
