Frustrated, confused and scared
cecilialee220 replied to nervous nana's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Nervous nana..... I can honestly say, there is "nothing easy" about this surgery. You have to watch everything you put in your mouth, you have to think and rethink everything you eat, drink. How you are going to cope with people wondering why you are barely eating, if something is wrong with the food, or wrong with you. But 9 months out.....i would do it again, twice!!!! In fact I have even encouraged my daughter to have the surgery, as this, other than having my kids, is one of the best things I have for in my life, for myself..... And would do it again!!! So tell them to keep their opinions to themselves and left you be happy and healthy! -
Maggie, you can change it. Click on the calories remaining, when the next page pops up click the calories again and it will allow you to edit the amount. You can also change your protein, carb and fat allowances for the day. Hope this helps

Best piece of advice you have! I'm a day away from Gastric Sleeve surgery.
cecilialee220 replied to Sara51692's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Honestly, no you won't be able to eat " normally" again. But that depends what you consider normal. I still eat out with my family all the time, I either order a small plate, or get an extra plate and take small portions off everyone's plate, no one seems to mind. You have to change your whole way of thinking about good. And the most important thing I have learnt is don't drink and eat. It doesn't work. You have to do one or the other. -
In use it, sleeved Aug 2014, send me a friend request @ cecilialee220 if you want to.
