I told my mom, younger siblings, and my aunt's family (mostly because I wanted her to consider surgery as well) along with a few of my lifelong friends who live states away and my boyfriend. I'm unemployed so I didn't have to worry about coworkers but I have had some issues with my boyfriend telling his family who live far away. I didn't want them to know right away because I didn't want to be judged or have to worry about their opinions about me getting it while unemployed and all that. Plus no one should have to worry about telling someone close to them and then spreading your information. It's like if he had herpes, I wouldn't take it upon myself to tell my family and all that lmao just my opinion.

Thank you guys so much!! Peach, I've been doing the lowered carbs and following the nutritionist's suggestions for the past 6 months that I had to do a weight management class. The water thing will be a big change for me in a lot of ways because I'm a big water drinker but I can gulp it down like nobody's business lol I'm trying to practice sipping so I'm gunna try to practice the none during or right after the meal, thanks! -
I just got my date not even 5 minutes ago and I'm so so so excited! On June 17th I'm getting sleeved and I can't wait. They even told me if they get an opening earlier than that they'll fit me in. I can't wait for my new chance at life to start! My name is Cara and I'm 22, living in NY and I'd love to make surgery buddies or mentors or anything! Do any of you post op people have any suggestions on anything I should be starting now or that you wished you would have practiced more/done before surgery I'd love to hear it, thank you!!

I've been obsessed with not only my "last meal" but just any meal I may not be able to have again. My mom had the rny 10 years ago and never wanted/tolerated beef or poultry ever again. All my cravings have been like really bad things so I've been having them in tiny amounts over the past 6 months of my journey. I just finished all my requirements a week ago, now I'm just waiting to schedule my last appt with my surgeon. I think it's normal to bug out a little about this. Just a form of anxiety ya know?
