I am 10 weeks post op. Down 45 pounds. The last week I have been working many hours. At work I am starving and am not feeling full. No restrictive feeling. I'm confused. Also craving carbs. Feeling nervous. The days I'm off I feel restricted and am not hungry at all. So confused. Any words of wisdom. Going to see NUT this week.

I had my sleeve on May 18. 29 pounds down but have not lost anything in two weeks. Still having hard time getting all water in. One protein shake a day. Still sticking course. Not exercising like I wish but I'm walking. I guess I'm not alone. Any more suggestions???

I had my sleeve on May 18. 29 pounds down but have not lost anything in two weeks. Still having hard time getting all water in. One protein shake a day. Still sticking course. Not exercising like I wish but I'm walking. Why such a stall? This is normal? -
I was sleeved on 5/18. I would love to keep in contact with all of you that were sleeved the same day. We can help each other. So far I am down 24 pounds. At a stall. Can't seem to tolerate the fluids well. I'm trying. I have to find that premier protein everyone is using. I have been using UNJURY. Not getting enough. I tried finding the aloe juice today. No luck. Anyone know what stores to find these things. I would love to hear how you guys are doing with loss. I feel better today. Saw my reflection in a store window and realized that I shouldn't regret this. I should welcome what will be. This suffering is temporary and food is not the end all. My health is.

When did everyone start walking far or exercising? I am 3.5 weeks out and can only walk around a half mile. Also, what does everyone take for constipation?
-
Kimmie, When was your surgery? I had mine in 5/18. I have no energy. I feel so weak. I walked only a few days because I have no energy. I was having esophageal spasms and could not tolerate fluids so I was getting dehydrated. I am able to drink the last three days. I had a full protein shake today. Hopefully I will get some energy to move now. Are you walking daily? Protein? What stage of diet?

Surgery Date 5/18. I now can tolerate some fluids. Actually had a protein shake this am. Spasms are getting less. This has been rough for me. I have no energy. I feel like I cannot do much. I am 17 days out. What type of diet is everyone else on at this point? I have daily regrets because I cannot tolerate much. Food is social, I haven't been going out, I feel like I'm missing a lot. I don't know...

Gastric Sleeve 24 hours ago...? stomach/esophageal spasms
GSDMom replied to simonla1's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hello All, I know this thread is old. I am 15 days post op. I am having the same spasms. Having a hard time drinking. I can't even drink protein. I can't walk, I have no energy. The spasms are a little better but it makes it hard to drink water. Any one else have them this long? I feel like I am getting dehydrated. Actually going to Hospital tomorrow for some fluids and evaluation. I thought this should be better by now. Any words of wisdom? -
I am 15 days out and cannot tolerate more than a sip of water. Bad spasms every time I try anything. I am getting dehydrated. If I have more than 3 sips I get these intermittent spasm like pains in my stomach. Has anyone had these problems?
-
@@MyNewLife28 I am drinking SMALL sips. I don't know how to make it any smaller. The pain is annoying. I feel weak. My surgeon keeps people on clear liquids for two weeks. No protein. It's rough. I think it is compounding how bad this is. But hopefully next week it will be better when I am on puree.

I am 10 days out. I feel terrible. Having that feeling of " what the hell did I do". "Worst mistake of my life". I am only on clear liquids. When I drink I get this feeling , spasm intermittent pain to my stomach which goes away fast but takes my breathe away. Has anyone else had this? I feel like I will never be able to eat again. I have to stay on liquids until June 1. Then to puree. I am so scared. The pain is terrible. I have many friends who swear this is the best thing ever. They keep saying this is temporary. I hold my faith in that and keep going. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all for your support.

Hello all: Stats: 5'7, 264 BMI was 41, 40 yrs old , from NY. For so many years I allowed my weight to ruin my life. I don't go out. I live with back and knee pain. I have a young handsome husband who is active and I can never enjoy things he does. I can't work out because I throw my back out and then cannot work. I am a Nurse Practitioner and work in an ER. I need to move and do not want to lose that. I decided to do the sleeve. Having a hard time. I feel hungry but I know it's only in my head. I am having a hard time with clears. They feel like they are getting stuck, I get pain and feel like I have to belch. I am taking SMALL sips. It's driving me crazy. They want me on clear liquids for two weeks. I have one week left. Praying I can handle it. No protein is hard for me. No energy. Reading these posts makes me feel better. This is a great support. Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

New to group. Sleeved 5/18/15
GSDMom replied to GSDMom's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Thank you all. I am going to GNC today. Any small sip is causing that discomfort. It's annoying. What clear protein is there to add to crystal light? I will try anything. My doctor and NUT do not think its a problem no protein for two weeks. It confuses me. I am feeling like this was a mistake. I am scared. I read that a lot of people during first two weeks feel the same. Once in awhile you like to have that hamburger. I won't be able to do that now. Was this the worst mistake of my life? Or am I just over reacting because I have not eaten. I am speaking to someone. No worries. But this still plays in my mind. -
***update*** 9 days post op
GSDMom replied to Sabl3r's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 7 days post op. I am on clear liquids for two weeks. Clear liquids is rough for me. How many ice pops can someone have? I did the clear miso broth, chicken broth, jello. I feel like I'm starving. It doesn't seem that other doctors do the two full week of clears. Any ideas of anything else to have? -
Hi All, I was sleeved on 5/18. Stats: 264/, 5'7. My doctor put me on clear liquids for two weeks then advance to protein with puree. The clear liquids are getting boring. Does anyone know of a good clear protein. The ensure one makes me sick. I have no energy. I am living on Miso broth and ice pops, sugar free. Every time I drink I feel a pressure, a need to burp. Then it goes away. I am taking SMALL sips. Very carefully. Does anyone else have this pain in mid chest with need to belch? Clear protein?
