  1. I am a slow loser! I am 5 weeks out tomorrow and I have lost 25 pounds since surgery. I started at 270 (I am 5'11"). I had my one month dr appointment today and they said I was doing great. I feel so much better! Amazing what a difference 25 ponds makes!
  2. I'm a slow looser too! Only down 22 pounds since surgery on the 2nd of June.
  3. I was off work for a week and 2 days for gastric bypass only. I am two weeks out and feel totally normal. I am walking/running 2 miles a day. My surgeon released me to do everything at 10 days post op.
  4. I had surgery on Tuesday June 2nd I am having more pain today than I have since the first day after surgery. I haven't been taking pain pills because I can't sleep and they make me itch. I can handle the pain I just want to make sure it's nothing serious. I have been walking a lot. I still feel bloated and haven't had a BM since before surgery. (Sorry TMI, I know). Anybody else have these issues?

  6. I am one week out today and I am still having horrible sharp pains in the lower left abdomin. It hurts so bad I still have to take pain pills. I talked to the nurse yesterday and she said it was normal.... Hopefully nothing is wrong. As for the BM, take milk of magnesia before you go to bed tonight. That got things moving for me.
  7. How is everyone feeling? The BM is no longer a problem. (Thanks to milk of magnesia). But the pain is worse on my left middle abdomin. It hurts to walk and hurts when I breathe. I get some relief when I lay flat in bed. I have no other symptoms (no nausea, vomiting, fever) although I have had a slight headache. Not sure what I should do for it... I'm ready to start feeling better.
  8. I feel the same way. Sharp pain in the left side of my stomach that has gotten progressively worse. It hurts to move. Did you talk to your doctor?
  9. I am 5 days post op and I'm in more pain today than I was on day 2. I have sharp pains on the left side and sharp pain when I take a breath. Hopefully will get better soon because this is awful! Hope you feel better soon!

    GOT MY DATE - JUNE!

Itt's really odd.... I had surgery yesterday and from everything I've read it's so hard to get all your liquids down. I am having no problems. I can drink 4ounces at a time... Also ate a jello cup with no problems.

My surgery date is June 2nd! I need a buddy too!????
  15. I am scheduled for surgery June 2. I am so excited and nervous. I started the liquid diet on Friday. It has been so hard over the holiday weekend. I thought it would get easier but it hasn't. I'm going to a cookout today with some friends and I don't know how to handle all the questions about why I'm not eating....any advice is appreciated. I'm not telling anyone except my immediate family I'm having RNY surgery. My CW 275 CH 5'11". 150 is my goal weight. Anyone else have a June 2nd surgery date?
