    G2 and stalls.

Some people's bodies go into starvation mode because they are consuming almost no carbohydrates. G2 had some sugar, but it's their low calorie version. For me, by adding one serving s day of g2, it boosted my energy and metabolism and I came out of my stall. This is not saying you can drink lots of servings a week, but just a few to help your body stop thinking its starving.

    Meal ideas

Whey protein did make me sick and gave me the runs. I only drink one now if I'm constipated!
  6. I'm not sure what BMI hart you use, but mine says at 5'7" you weren't obese when you were your preop weight. You've lost weight fast for such a low (28) BMI.

    I'm so sad

I'm 5'6" and was 200 pounds (that was my HW) when I had my sleeve (33.3 BMI). I had 10 surgeries before my sleeve on June 30th and my surgeon said I was an excellent candidate BECAUSE I didn't lose weight on any diets. I was a self pay ($14,000) so I didn't have to deal with insurance. I'm 9 weeks out and have lost 30 pounds. I feel awesome, my comorbidities are virtually gone, and I'm rocking a size ten! I may be in debt, but I'll have 20 years of extra life to pay it off! BOO YA!

    Pre op diet..

I didn't do one other than three days prior, to clean out my intestines. No problems, but I was low BMI.

    Winning is....

I just bought two pairs of size ten pants! I'm only 8 weeks post op! Size six you will be mine soon!

Strange Info from NUT re: Carbs

My instructions are to weigh once a week until I meet goal because we will obsess and get depressed with every little fluctuation. Once goal is reached, then I'm to weigh almost daily to keep myself in check. Your post is exactly why my surgeon and Nut says not to weigh that often in the losing phase. We allow our emotions and moods to be controlled by the scale. Concentrate on NSV!

Strange Info from NUT re: Carbs

Stop weighing yourself! Once a week and let it go!
  16. I drank G2 Gatorade. It's their "low calorie" but it has some. It made a HUGE difference for me in terms of hydration and energy. Some people need s few carbs.
  17. Uh, yes! Liquid goes through. When you eat something with just a little weight to it, you will be shocked!

    Cash pay?

    Mine was $1100.

    Squats and cruches/situps

I've been hitting gym hard since two weeks post op. My surgeon said no crunches or squats until four weeks. I'm six now and I have no problem doing anything. However, I was a low starting BMI (33.3) and didn't have a lot of belly to cause pressure on my pouch at four weeks out. ASK your surgeon to be safe.

    Heading Back Into the World

I use this protein drink (comes in six flavors) in a sports drink container. Two pouches in 24 oz of water is 36 grams of protein. Lasts a couple of hours. If you feel weak, throw in a G2 for 30 calories of carbs.

    May I get some advice?

I HATE any kind of laxative! I use Wellesse Digestive Health. It's got fiber, aloe and prebiotics. Seems to be working well.

Strange Info from NUT re: Carbs

If you eat beans, or protein bars, or most vegetables you'll see your carbs go easily to 100.

Lucky you! My nurse practitioner from the surgeons office says she still has it after 12 years!

    Gallbladder and weight loss

Two days of being sore. A few new small incisions. And a few months of diarrhea while your body adapts to not having s gall bladder and the constant drip of bile from the liver. An easy surgery.
