I was like that for the first few weeks post. I'm now 3 months out and it's no longer an issue.

I'll be 8 weeks post op tomorrow and have lost 21 pounds since surgery. Some days it does feel slow but I keep reminding myself that I never was able to lose 3lbs a week pre op!

I loved plain water prior to surgery but now (3 1/2 weeks post) i can hardly stand it. I find i can get more in if i drink crystal light or herbal tea.

My preop plan consisted of 3-4 Protein shakes and Clear liquids for 10 days. I already knew i had a fatty liver from an ultrasound when i had my gallbladder removed 7 months ago so i made sure i stuck to the plan. After surgery, i asked my surgeon how my liver looked and he said PERFECT! So, the preop diet works plus you lose weight which is an added bonus:) Have you tried mixing sugar free Jello (powder) with your shakes? It really helped me during this phase.

I'm 8 days post op. I had my 1 wk follow up today and i lost 7lbs!

@@likelike i was only required to stay in the hospital 1 night, 2 days and by Thursday afternoon i was crying because of the pain and the fear of going home. I didn't feel ready at all! I still hurt a lot but since being home i feel like I'm moving more and i think that has helped a great deal. I'll be thinking of you, hoping things will start to turn around soon:)

Where was yours? I knew this wasn't going to be easy but i really wasn't expecting to be in this much pain! I had my gall bladder removed last October but that doesn't even come close to what I'm feeling now.

I just got home. I'm in some serious pain when i try to get up or lay down but I've been walking and sipping all day!

I'm getting sleeved tomorrow too! Have to be at the hospital at 530am. I don't think I'm getting any sleep tonight!

I have 3 days left of the prep diet. My surgeon requires 10 days of 3-4 Protein shakes, unlimited Clear liquids and 2 cups of approved veggies per day. I struggled the most the 2nd through the 5th day due to headaches. I've stuck to it and at this point I know I am so close I won't cheat. I've lost 8 pounds so far which is great motivation for me! I have never been more ready for this surgery than I am now. My surgery is scheduled for Wednesday June 3rd...so excited to get to the next phase of my journey:-)
