6 years post-op, thinking about Overstitch revision
Mooseknuckle replied to LapGyrl's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
I think it is all in how you follow the program I catch myself over eating because it tastes good and I am only 1 year and 2 months out . But I have lost almost 200 lbs too including my pre surgery diet. My stomach hurts when I do this and I can't do this with meat only soft food which isn't good anyway because most soft stuff is loaded with carbs . What I am getting at is watch what you eat and it will fall off you can go backwards quick . I need some help myself to get back on track I have been told to go back on my liquid diet and my stomach would relax back to what it was after surgery . Then stay on track ? Anyone try this yet Sent from my SM-G935V using the BariatricPal App -

Well diet Belle don't cut back on your meals just make sure you aren't putting any extra carbs in at this point . You get enough carbs in your protein shakes at this point and stalling at 3 weeks is very common . I did and so did several others. Your body needs what your NUT tells you to put in at this point. NUT is nutritionist for short. I would have answered sooner as I just went through another surgery of my own . I had to have my back fused one more time so I can walk and get back to work. Thus where I am going with this I gained almost 18 lbs through my surgery. It of coarse was water weight from swelling after surgery. I am now back on track 2 weeks after back surgery i have lost 21 lbs. I am sure it was all water weight. As I still have another 50 lbs to go to hit my goal weight of 220lbs. I started my journey at 448 lbs in Dec 5 of 2014. I lost 88 lbs on my pre surgery diet. The day of my surgery i was 360 lbs I am now at and proud of it too. 270 lbs . So please stick to your plan and don't change it unless your NUT tells you to. Stalling is common with all of us and so is frustration lol you are doing great keep up the great work and just walk more and drink lots of clear fluids . Water is my best friend. Take care kiddo you got this

Getting to be impossible to lose!
Mooseknuckle replied to akreese02's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
If you can't resist the things you are not supposed to have just eat your proteins first and take just a small taste of that yummy stuff you love . See if you are full of the stuff you are supposed to have it makes it easier to just have that taste. And that taste is very satisfying. Just don't make a habit of it . You have to remember this is only a tool it is what we do with it . So there is nothing easy about this at all. You all are doing great with just 1 lb lost is a lb lost . But if you find yourself at a stall . You can always go back to your liquid diet for 2 weeks and kick your burner in again . Main thing is the hardest thing we have to do is change our ways . I am guilty of this also my cheat was hot tamales candies because they taste good and they go down easy but they cause serious dumping syndrome. So it was a harsh learning lesson. I can be without that lol. Good luck to all . Since I went back to my liquid diet I started with on this venture a 5 days ago I have lost 4lbs and most of all my protein and liquid are back in my routine . I have 46 lbs to lose by may 11th . This is my goal if I come close I will be satisfied with whatever weight i have lost . Remember it is your mind set that gets you where you need to be. Stay positive no matter what you guys are winners in my book. God bless you all -

Mooseknuckle replied to Tracan's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
That is awsome. No worries everyone loses weight differently. Just stick to what your nut has put you on and it will just fall off . There will be a time that you stall out on losing but don't worry it will come off . Your body is going through a lot of awsome changes . By the way your nut is your nutritionist lol. Keep up the good work and stick to the plan. It works -

4 weeks out and 5 pound gain?
Mooseknuckle replied to Tracan's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Well Jamie I ate more food in the last 2 days more often anyway. A lot of summer sausage and pepperoni sticks and lunch meat fruits and vegetables and cottage cheese. I lost 3 lbs since Fridays conversation. I do believe I need to force myself to eat more of my little portions every day to get my burner working. Like I said I am not hungry at all so this is why I say force it down -
